  1. Hi.

    I have a real problem with the Coltan Blues mission. After the anti air section the game autosaves then resumes with a chopper in bound to collect you.

    A chopper to collect you?? Last time I played Coltan Blues it just ended right after friendly chopper shot down 2 enemy aircraft and that friendly chopper never came for me.

    But what ever mission it really is, I would try latest beta patch. It works with Steam version too.

    Could also be some Steam-version specific bug variated from above bug.

    Try going to CDF lines instead and see if that cutscene works for me it created same above bug too, but then again it is multiplayer only bug and should not happen if you play it alone.

    All in all. The developers do not have the time to test every official campaign and mission after each change they make in patches. So it can easily be some new bug too.


  3. Check if you have a file called campaign.sqc at this path (or where ever it is in Steam version install)

    C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\YourPlayerProfileName\Saved\ca\missions_e\campaign

    If you have it delete it. It contains your campaign progress and might have been corrupted somehow. Actully you can delete everything inside that last folder of above path, they will be recreated.

    Just to be sure copy your whole "ArmA 2 Other Profiles"-folder before doing above things and copy it back to same place if something goes more wrong.

    @Gwaryn were you playing Razor Two mission with Arma2 or Arma2 Combined Operations side and what patch version are you using (1.08, 1.09, 1.57 or 1.58 RC)?

    When saying "we get 3/4 evidence" do you mean you play it cooperatively with friends or do you just mean we = Razor Team?

    My best advice would be to revert to last save and hopefully notice this time capturing Bardak triggers cutscene like it should.


  5. Just making sure if you know that "From Hell" mission is replaced by "Sandstorm" if you are good enough in "Open Season".

    Actually in "Open Season" crashing your Helicopter to friendly territory instead of enemy territory is enough to get to "Sandstorm" instead of "From Hell". So no perfection needed like in that screenshot.

    Can't help with "From Hell" mission since I never wanted to go there, but just wanted to make sure you know there is this option of choosing.


  6. Because of forum rules, I cannot easily participate in that dicussion since the post is older than 4 months, but thank you Jezuro. So mission is called "B09 - Payback" in BAF DLC campaign. Ofcourse I forumsearched "Payback" too, but it gave 178 references and too many of them were about some user mission called CO40 Payback, so I gave up searching.

    As you know we with BAF (Lite) have no BAF campaign. So there were no way to check how single player version of this mission works. Is it possible there is a difference in 09 - Payback and COOP 08 Payback? The fact there is still no-one who has reported completing COOP 08 Payback.

    These players have run into same problem and I suspect there is a bug that makes this mission never ending if you clear too many enemies before completing task "Locate UN vehicles".

  7. We have been playing COOP 08 Payback with Expert difficulty every now and then since september 2010 and it begins to look like it is not working so well. This mission comes with BAF (Lite) and BAF DLC. We have only tested with BAF (Lite) so far, but I've preordered Arma2: Reinforcements which includes full version of BAF, so there is a little hope this mission would work there.

    Not only once we have noticed after eliminating all enemies and destroying their vehicles mission will just not end. There are only a 2 tasks=objectives in this mission so it should not be too complicated design to work no matter in what order you play.

    These forums have 0 posts about this mission (until now).

    Youtube has 0 videos about this mission.

    Google finds nothing useful about this mission.

    Please share here your experiences on this mission. Especially if you have BAF DLC or Arma2: Reinforcements.


  8. Replayng Harvest Red now, and I ran into another possible bug. After using 81mm support option disappeared and never came back, forcing me to play Rambo aganist other camps and patrols. Were we alowed to use mortars only once during mission, or it's just a bug?

    It is not a bug. Artillery support can be used only once in this mission and in any official mission I know.

    There are 2 good APCs, Javelin, SMAW and AI controlled friendly APC to help you. Sometimes even AI controlled friendly M1A1 tanks. So it you can get more help than John Rambo ever did. :rolleyes:


  9. I just had the exact same problem and went onto google only to find this post. Any ideas on a fix anyone?

    If you really want a fix and not just workaround. You have it if you install 1.58.78473 RC patch which is the first one where it is fixed. If you do not want to go to RC, you can wait 1.59 full patch where it will be also present.

    BTW. There was already another discussion about this issue on the first page of this OFFICIAL MISSIONS subforum.

    So no real reason to bump this one up, but nice trick of ramming Osprey nose with the bike Shatteredciv. I would have chose that non-violent and creative workaround too if I would have ever ran into this bug, but fortunately it was created after I completed that mission and is already fixed before I complete it next time. :)


  10. I recorded those mission with Fraps, then watched stopped video slide by slide, noticed missions were indeed success and found out was that Debriefing is actually shown but only a split of a second so you can barely see it before you are automatically returned to Multiplayer Setup screen.

    So the real problem is not why Debriefing is not shown, but why Debriefing automatically closes itself in these 4 missions, when normally in other mission it stays until you click Continue from bottom right corner.

    Also note that I only have BAF (Lite)

    Here are bug reports including some savegames if somebody with BAF DLC could test if this bug is for them, so I we know if it is BAF (Lite)-only bug or BAF (Lite) and BAF DLC bug:

  11. Thanks FilthyNord. Now that I think it, she may be scripted to always take the seat that is next to Cooper (like she would not trust anyone else to be near her).

    So if rest of the Razor Team is in the vehicle already, there is usually no 2 free seats available next to each other and even if Cooper enters vehicle, she does not because she has no AI intelligence that would allow her to choose any seat.

    Same goes with Dogs Of War POW. I remember him sitting next to Cooper like some wannabe co-driver.

    Hint for MP players: Not compatible to 1.57 servers, just tested

    So if 1.58RC and this beta are installed there is no way going to 1.57 server unless someone wants to go there so badly that installins older beta that allows 1.57 server joining.

    BTW. Grenade bug was currently #4 in highest voted bugs, before it was fixed. So don't forget to vote for things that matter to you.


  13. I just captured a grenade launcher jeep, and it vanished into thin air after about 5 minutes of use. 4 seconds later, standing in the street alone in astonishment like an idiot, I got wasted by some soldiers. I also saw vanishing vehicles in Badlands. What gives? Total crap.

    I think I saw lot of similar stuff in Dogs Of War. If you find abandoned vehicles friendly or enemy, move them and abandon them again, then you will soon notice them explode after awhile. I once moved 4 trucks in HQ and put them in line. Soon they were all selfdestructed (we were kilometers away from nearest enemies and behind some heavy defence line). I think this selfdestruct is made to keep game running smoother and allowing to buy/build new units, since all unused vehicles around will consume some hardware power. If you are using captured vehicle which is damaged even slightly, I think it will keep degrading and eventually be destroyded. But well I have seen bought vehicles disappear after loading savegame leaving you standing near or even kilometers away. Unfortunately these issues are hard to reproduce for CIT, so I have no high hopes if they will ever be fixed. Although I have seen vanishing vehicles only in Badlands and Dogs Of War, which makes me think it is related to missions that have Warfare2 elements in them.

    I'm not familiar with Freedom Fighters, so hope someone else has ideas on those.

    The only time Medic has healed me was on Operation Arrowhead campaign Good Morning T-stan mission. I was really surprised to get help. So stupid those Medics are.


  14. As for me Lagushina has never entered any of my vehicles, neither LAV-25 nor HMVV. She always travels on foot and you have to escort her on foot. Same goes for the Chedaki informant in the last mission, while Lopotev will gladly enter the helicopter to fly in. It's a completely different AI behavior though situations are identical.

    It seems to depend on vehicles.

    Lagushina has entered all civilian cars I have tried, but not all military vehicles.

    Chedaki informant entered UAZ, Ural and BRDM-2 after me. But not BRDM-2 or T-72.

    I think Lopotev is scripted to enter that Mi-17 (Civilian) helicopter, because otherwise you would have to take long swim and walk with him following you.

    If I ever have time, I will make a list what vehicles you can use to transport those VIPs.


  15. I have transported Lagushina to LZ with AAVP7A1 [uSMC], black sedan and VWGolf Hatchback. If I am not mistaken I have transported Lagushina with LAV-25 [uSMC] too.

    If she does not come out of any vehicle after you, I'm pretty sure she never got in and maybe tried to follow on foot and got killed.

    You may want to check if she could still be found at Gvozdno standing northeast side of the red brick building at GPS COORS 085034.

    Not sure if enemy will even try to kill her. Atleast we know she is evidence against Chedaki and that is why CDF wants her.

    Do not let the bugs spoil your enjoyment. There is always some kind of workaround. I just completed the whole campaign without ever using campaign or endmission cheat.


  16. I see in your signature that you have all expansions including DLCs. So the only reason I can imagine why they are not visible in multiplayer list is that something needs to be completed before they get unlocked. Maybe BAF campaign coming with DLC version only.

    Not entirely related, but atleast Harvest Red and Operation Arrowhead campaign missions appear in multiplayer mission lists only after they are completed in campaign side.

    Have you guys completed BAF campaign? If I remember correctly all official expansions bring at least one campaign with them. Correct me if I am wrong.

    A few days ago, I wanted to see where Lagushina is when Manhattan mission starts, so immediately after the start I took closest vehicle and drove through Krasnostav towards Gvosdno. In GPS COORD 096032 I forced Lagushina to drive her car offroad and she disembarked it while I approached. I took her to near LZ and machinegunned two UAZ coming from northeast. After that Lagushina left us and ran about 20 meters and then disappeared like a ghost. Task Accomplished. I never even saw that Mi-24D helicopter that usually comes to pick her up, maybe it was shot down, since there were still lot of enemies still around and it was only few minutes since the mission started. I have also heard since that Mi-24D is CDF or was it NAPA, it will start to fight all enemies it sees near, so it may be lost or destroyed on they way if there is enemies it sees and so it will never come. Clear attacking UAZ atleast and put on your GPS with RCtrl+M to see orange LZ marker and walk over exactly over it to trigger Lagushina start running for a spot where helicopter usually appears.

    So my conclusion is this task/objective has a lot of weak points. The only thing you can do is to use earlier save or restart the whole mission and complete this task as the second one right after going to see Capt. Shaftoe. You can then return to FOB Manhattan to do more preparations, but if you want to catch Lagushina between the road near LZ and Krasnostav, be there about 7 minutes after mission start.


  18. the friendly AI seemed invulnerable.

    I played this mission cooperatively with a friend so we didn't have any friendly AI because both main characters were controlled by us humans. We used Expert difficulty (like I always do) and I was hit multiple times with enemy fire so many times that I started to think is there something wrong because in other campaigns such a damage soon left me injured or killed. And very often first hit was leathal.

    So what I suspect, based on limited experience in this campaign, is that enemy fire is less effective or we have higher armor or health in this campaign or at least in that mission.


  19. There must be people who play Arma2 series only offline and have no chance to buy games as DLCs because they have no credit card or whatever. Naturally they never or rarely show up here in the forums either.

    Let me give an example. If someone buys PS3 and plays games with it, it does not mean he/she would automatically log in to internet just because on PS3 it is possible and free. In that platform there must be more offline players than online players and that makes me wonder how big % it is in Arma2, probably less, but would you build your market strategy on such assumptions, I would not.

    Also not all people enjoy playing with other people, instead they like to play singleplayer stuff, since it fits their time schedule better and they are not intrested in competition or cooperation.

    By the way I'm not talking about myself here, if you thought so and I have not yet touched SP in Arma2 even once and I'm behind high speed internet.

    In that point of view this poll and the idea of making ArmA2 series Steam-only or DLC only is unfair and maybe not good market idea, since they have no voice in this poll and you would only notice their absence in sales.

    Ok, I know it is terrible injustice or even torture to play game like Arma2 without ever loading a single patch for it, but I'm sure there must be a unknown number of people who play like that.


  20. I was talking about wrong APC name. The correct name is AAVP7A1 [uSMC](Amphibious Assault Vehicle), but surely you knew what APC I meant and since I believe you it does not work in SP, but also know for sure it works for me in MP, it makes me think if it really is a bug

    Can you move next seat to UAZ driver and switch to driver position yourself in SP, if yes, why not here too.

    Also atleast some of AAVP7A1 have door between front and rear compartments like this, which supports my theory of it beeing realistic to move from back to front without going outside in the process.

    But anyway in Dog Of War BRDM-2 is very common, so I would try swimming with that.
