    Hello

    In the beginning I wanted to note that ARMA2 is a great game. In most of aspects it is crafted brilliantly.

    However

    Here is a problem with Metis (AT-13) optics during the night time.

    I would like to emphasize that I describe here not only mine problem.

    Everyone may see what the problem looks like if he go to Editor

    set the following conditions:

    1) set night time

    2) set date when the ambient light is bright. For example fool moon where the moon is hanging above in the sky. Let's say 01/12/2015

    It appeared that the background of Metis infra-red optics is not brown as usual but black. Therefore it is quite complicated to aim the target using black crosshair on black background. Moreover, the landscape is not visible because when you look in Metis optics everything is black. You may only see on that black background bright orange "warm" objects like infantry of moving vehicles.

    This problem makes it difficult (impossible\frustrating) to use Metis during certain conditions.

    Hope, it will be fixed.

    Last night I managed to connect and play my favourite ARMA2 server.

    I wanted to post here the information on how the problem may be evaded.

    (1) I believe, the core thing is to join the server as early as possible to reduce the number of people on the server. Seems, more people = less chances to load the mission.

    (2) The server restarted 3 times at the very beginning. When it restarts everyone appear on the screen where you can choose the mission (and difficulty settings). At this screen I chose the mission name. At this point may be somehow the mission info was downloaded to me. When admins picked up the mission for the third time I appeared in lobby screen which contained all usual slots.

    (3) Potentially, another method to overcome the problem is the following. When you join the server and appear in the “blank†lobby screen where you can not pick up the slot (because you do not see anything) you should do the following. Ask admin to drag and drop you name to the slot. Not sure may be it can help.

    Try right- clicking on your shortcut and choose "run game as administrator".
    Thanks for advice. It does not help.

    The issue is occur not on any server.

    May be it is a bandwidth problem?

    What I mean: no issue if low quantity of players are playing on server. Issue exists if large quantity of players are playing on server.

    If I understand correctly, since new patches certain corrections have been made with respect to bandwidth?

    Before the patch I was able to connect without problems to servers with 50-60 players.

    Blank lobby screen issue.

    I would like to come back to this issue. May be the following information may help to reveal the problem.

    When I join many ARMA2 public servers the lobby screen is OK (i.e. mission name, slots are visible). Lobby screen information is shown immediately.

    But when I join my favorite server with 1-2 players I got a delay. It means, Lobby screen information is shown not immediately but in 20 seconds. It means that for some reason the lobby screen information is downloading slowly. It seems that something is blocking the incoming data.

    When I join my favorite server with 10-70 players I just can not receive lobby screen information. Even after 20 minutes the lobby screen is still blank.

    It should be noted that I have a low ping to my favorite server - just 57ms.

    I would like to repeat that the above issue appeared after 1.54 patch.

    HMM... May be there is some "special" way of installation of ARMA2 and OA ?

    I simply installed ARMA2 to C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 folder

    And then installed ARMA2 OA to the same folder.

    Well everyone shut up

    Just run arma 2 alone and play a single player mission for example quit the game then launch combined operations then you ll never get that probleme again

    what I already have tried additionally:

    - I already downloaded from www.battleeye.com file "BEClient.dll" and put it into C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\BattlEye directory

    - I switched off antivirus

    - I switched off Win Vista Brandmauer (no firewall)

    - I am connecting to the server from MP screen "internet" (not "LAN")

    update after some testing

    note: I have "blank lobby screen issue" not on each server.

    I found out that I *may* connect to some public servers which have no addons.

    I have only one addon - "CF Mod". But many other people who are using this addon have no problems. Therefore the "CF Mod" is not a problem.

    Another strange thing is that I was *able* to play on my usual public server which requires "CF Mod" yeaster day. And I can not do the same thing today.

    May be there are some issues related to Win Vista securities settings? Some ports should be manually opened or something?

    Hello

    I have absolutely same issue as Gawdamit. Lobby screen is blank.

    This problem occurs when I connect to the public server where the custom mission has already started and 5-50 players are playing without any issues.

    When I connect to the public server and appear in the lobby screen I do not see any roles (slots). I do not see the name of the mission. Nothing but standard buttons in the lower part of lobby screen. If I press “OK†I can connect to the mission (but have error same as described in above posts). I am in game. I can see the score board. However I can not play because I have not chosen the role (game slot).

    Troubles started after I patched 1.54. I had No such troubles before. My game runs smoothly. I have no troubles with internet connection.

    What I already tried to fix the problem (but it did not helped):

    - complete reinstallation of ARMA2 + ARMA2 OA

    - missions_e.pbo file fix

    - deleted player profiles, created new profile

    - cleaned missions cash

    - tried to run the game on the lowest graphics settings

    - Some guys advised me to add the string "minBandwidth=16000;" (8к, 16к, 24к, 32к, 64к, 128k) to the file "ArmA2OA.cfg". Because they say something is wrong with bandwidth in the latest ARMA2 patches. But this also did not help.
