It's already green on the Apache and Cobra. The Abrams have been left the way they are due to this post. Any evidence for the proper video setup on the M1A1 and M1A2 TUSK would be appreciated.Mmm.. it is already green in the apache and Cobra, so i might be doing something wrong, cause i installed the latest update and the FLIR still is black and white, could you help me with this? I dropped the files on Add Ons and Key folders and added @TGW in the shortcut, is that the correct instalation or i am missing something?

Hello everybody, i talked about this a few months ago with no positive results but because i am so stubborn, i am here again hehe, now seriously, i just want to know if there is any chance of a future update enabling the use of the green thermal imaging display of the Abrams in the Apache and Cobra, as i have mentioned before that's the way the gunner sees the FLIR in his cockpit, becasue the images are displayed in a green monochrome screen, so i think it would bee an interesting alternative to tha black and white display, i can post somed videos and images of this, if anyone wants.

Hello, i remember that i used to have an addon that enables using Arma II vehicles in combined operations, for example i used the AH-1W with TOW missiles in Operation Arrowhead, but i can't find it now, can someone help me with this? thanks!

Take a look at that demo mission in the first link. You'll see that it's pretty simple to set up. Post back here or in that thread and we can help you figure it out if you have any problems.Hey fatty coudl you tell me in wich folder i have to put the faat.sqf file?

This is the simpliest way that I have found._arty is the name of your artillery piece
_target is the name of your target (invisibleH's set in 500m hieght are best)
init field of your Arty piece
trigger activated by whatever you want that starts artillery firing:
example has 4 x BM-21 GRADS firing in sequence with 1 second in between each shot, after 5 seconds the battery repeats firing
copy and paste this into new script in your mission folder and name "gradfire.sqf"
I am trying with this but i have a few questions:
I select a Grad unit,, go to Waypoint and there i have to write "gunner this doWatch _target; driver this disableAI "MOVE";" in the Script field. Is this ok?
Where i have to put the "_nil execVM "gradfire.sqf";"?

mm editing, sounds difficult but i'm gonna try, i would love to see the grads being fired through the FLIR in black/hot mode, thanks for help!

Hi everybody, i have a question about mission editor, is it posible to make the Scud and Grad fire their missiles/rockets when i am not in command of those vehicles? For example, if i am palying as a Cobra gunner i would like to see them firing before i take them out but i haven't been able to make it so far. In the waypoint menu i select "Combat" and "open Fire", for both the Grad adn the Scud but they never fire their missiles,they just go around over the scenario..can anyone help me with this?

I just made report about Cobra's symbology superposed over Apache's gunner optics here:

Maybe this could be corrected for a next release, we already have a very realistic Cobra optics, so it would be great to have a realistic TADS too.

Well form the ORT i don't have images, if someone have it woudl be a help if they post. About the black and white images, as i already said, when the flir images are shown, in any color display, like a color tv or computer monitor, we can watch them as they are really filmed, that's why the black and white. But in the displays of the apache, that are monochrome green, thats why are shown in that color, even the day tv camera it is green, because these monitors can't show other colors, i think it is pretty clear in the video and the photo i posted. This happens in other aircrafts too look this F-15 strike eagle

So if you don't want to add it, i respect your decision, and i am thankful for this add on you made, but i insist that a green Apache Flir would add a lot of realism, because we would see through the flir like the real gunner does.

Here in this video it is shown how the gunner sees trough those green CRT displays in his cockpit, watch at 3:45, 3:57, and 4:00

Yes, but those videos are the recorded footage, the gunner in the Apache sees the FLIR images through a green monochrome CRT screen, like this one:

So the Flir really "see" in black and white, but beacuse of the screen in the cockpit is displayed on green shades.
I love the black and white thermal imaging too, but i think it would be interesting adding the green to the Apache, i have used that vision in the M1A1 gunner position and it is very well done, added to the AH-64 would be amazing

I have been playing CO with ACE since a few days, what a great mod!My only complaint about it, is that AH-1W Telescopic Sighting Unit, is very similar to the Apache's sight...loved the old Cobra sight, the one you could use with ACE II mod in Arma II. it gave the Cobra its personality. Is there any chance of reincorporate the old AH-1W sight in future updates?

Amazing!! Great add on, it was a let down not to be able to guide the hellfires with the Apache, i wonder why they included the laser designator on the ULB but not in the Apache.. By the way.. do anybody know if it's possible to get rid of the little red circle with target distance that appears when using the laser?

I am running ACE mod ACEX and ACE US NAVV, i have to remove them? is there any incompatibility between ACE and the latest TGW? i hope not!
