Static weapons wont fire

I'm getting the same exact problem, and I cannot get into the gunner's position on pickups or any other vehicle that doesn't allow access to gunner's seat while in the drivers seat.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but for some reason empty refuses to show up. I can't place any objects or ammo crates, so it's extremely aggravating.

I'm patched to 1.07, have tried with and without ACE and many other mods and with no mods at all to no avail.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?
