Its great that its released and all, but its not perfect and i hope you will address these issues in the long term and not take this too harshly. 1. Cockpit player camera placement. Can't actually see what the gun reticle is pointing at, that and its not integrated into the HUD. 2. HUD colour and design. I'm really not sure what to make of it, but i do know that the HUD doesn't curve when pulling into a 90 degree position. I'm also not sure why i have to revert to manual fire so that i can use Pilot functions such as missiles and the gun. 3. VMFA writing standards look too big, possibly due to... 4. Scale, as aforementioned, but i also have a nagging feeling about the wings. I'm gonna take a few screenshots in a moment just to try and find out what the issue is, but i think its because wing textures don't flow onto the flaps. Thats a Classic Hornet D, not entirely clear on what you're trying to show by this. -EDIT- Ok, here are some screens basically showing the Aircraft to the closest possible similar, the FDF Classic Hornet (...can we please have some bombs for this?! :D). Agreed on all points, hell people have pirated a game that was on sale for 1 cent, all funds going to a charity (cancer research or sick kids or something). We already get ripped off when it comes to games, but paying $100 for a half a game and being forced to pay for the content after initial purpose? The amount of words that describes my hatred for such a tactic is endless... edit: People will always pay for a game that they believe is worth the money. Thats all there is to it. Didn't feel the need to post a new thread, and this seemed close enough to what i'm searching for. Is there an analogue trim setting in the controls menu much like the throttle action that i've slaved to my X52P Throttle stick? I've got two analogue radials on that stick that have no real use, but if i could slave trim to that it would make flying ALOT easier, as the stick twist for yaw is quite...shall we say, s***?

I'm assuming you're US? I think "college" is completely different over here to what you guys have*. Basically Yr 12 (when we're 17/18) is our final year, and based on our ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (basically a fancy name for UAI (another fancy name for "have you got enough points to get into Uni"))) you can either apply for ADFA (Uni) for an officers role (i think its about 4 years training). Or you can go direct entry after Yr 10, but you don't get any of the benefits (paid to study, a degree after defence, a better job etc). Doesn't mean you can't earn them, its just more difficult (i believe...i'd hope thats correct considering the amount of ADF staff i've talked to about it). What i can gather from your system, your officers don't go to Uni to get in, am i correct? * College here is Years 11 and 12 only, high school 7-10 and primary 3-6, pre i believe is 1-2, depending on what state you're in. Private schools go all the way from k-12.

Air Force, pathfinding my way there now. If i'm knocked back this year will do a uni course in aviation and then try again (know someone who succeeded that way) Training at ADFA (which i assume he wants to do) will take a fair while to complete i believe, and i think the minimum requirements are passes in Yr10/11. General rule of thumb, Officers are required to go to ADFA/UNSW (Australian Defence Force Academy and University of New South Wales for those not in the know), direct entry can see you end up as an Officer but generally direct entry is your general infantry/support teams. Anyone who knows better feel free to correct, this is based on a hazy memory.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Q6600 2.4GHz GPU: Nvidia GTS250 RAM: 3.8GB HDD: 2x500GB PSU: 800W Motherboard: Something from 2008 Case: Nothing major, something small, probably under $50AU That will play all new release multi-platform games equal to or better than any console (BFBC, SC, R6, GR, etc). That is also a 2008 Dell Inspiron with $200AU worth of upgrades (PSU/GPU). Right now that computer today is worth around $500AU or less (Cnet rated it at $525US in 2008), $100AU more than a 360s, cheaper games, no online fees and a better game experience in general. I can play Arma on this on medium to high settings between 20fps-30fps, Crysis on high with a solid 30fps with a few dips to 20fps. I can do all my general computing, video editing, image editing etc. The only thing i don't have is a 64bit version of windows, so i can't play DCS, but thats easy fixed, buy 64bit. I am currently using 32bit Windows XP. My Console experience has wasted at least $700AU alone in terms of repairing my dodgy 20GB 1st gen 360, buying a slim because i wasn't prepared to take the risk of another RROD, XBL Gold payments and Microsoft points payments for DLC, the extra cost of console games in total when taking into account having to buy the online part of the game through XBL Gold, extra "DLC" that Arma 2 modders provide for free (don't think i don't appreciate it though, you guys are legendary). Don't even try and convince me the Console option is cheaper. I have NOT got my moneys worth from console, i have from PC, and i don't give a damn of what you say. I spent more money on console and thats final. -HOWEVER- I still keep my console for the simple fact that not all games make their way to PC, Devil May Cry, Acecombat and Vanquish to name a few. Therefore my spending on individual games has decreased dramatically. edit: Not all pre-owned games are cheap. I still see pre-owned 360 copies of OFP: DR for $70AU, almost as much as RR ffs. That is NOT a reliable way of getting cheap games.

Which adds up to be more expensive than buying a single PC that does both. If you want a PC that plays all mainstream games these days well (because they're console ports) you can do it cheaper than the overall expense of a Console (which includes extra expense of games, controllers and online).

And the 360 had how many issues with RROD? The Wii pushed any sort of hardware limits?

I think many of you are forgetting that Crysis was released in 2007. Can anyone tell me what the biggest game on consoles was in 2007? Based on sales, Halo 3 and CoD4. Now compare Crysis at its max to CoD4 and Halo 3 at their max, and i think we can all agree PC is indeed that far ahead.
