    Run in bush

Sounds could be improved too. Disturbing bushes, twigs and leaves on the ground at different speeds should be audible.

    Eject Vehicle Crew?

If you allowed the pilot to eject units from the helicopter at the same time, units are likely to become injured, if they dismounted on-top of each other. Be sure to include a delay when cycling through, and ejecting cargo. Alternatively, you could give the 'eject' option to all players in cargo. Once on the ground, AI should also accept ejection orders, unlike when airborne, as they don't have parachutes.
  3. Don't mix up addon folders. Place your '@Addon' folders into the root of your server, ideally. Just ensure that you're running all of the required addons for the missions which you're trying to play, otherwise it won't launch.
  4. Please upload your report file to Pastebin. Does the mission which you are trying to run use addons? The most common cause of this problem is because the server doesn't have the required addons to launch the mission.

    Heli help

This is definitely a throttle issue, your throttle mustn't be at 0% when boarding the helicopter. Set your collective to 'Analogue' within your Arma 2 aircraft control scheme. This should fix the altitude issue too. :)
  6. I'm almost certain that I had the same issue around six months ago. Navigate to your to your temporary files 'C:/Users/Name/AppData/Local/Temp' and search for a folder related to 'ACR'. Inside this folder there should be an executable file which you can run for installation. Right click and 'Run as administrator' to avoid further issue. Note: Ensure you're have made 'Hidden files and folders' visible within 'Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options' under the control panel.

    Recommended AI tweaks?

If I remember correctly, it does work well without any adjustments, however you may need to tweak the AI accuracy within your '.Arma2OAProfile'.
  8. I understand now. I only really play cooperative game modes, thus lack the wider perspective. With the recent teaser of Altis, I can imagine it being very difficult for some missions to contain players within an area. :)

    ArmA 2 Control issues

That's definitely not the issue then. Have you tried deleting (backup first) your configuration files? Mainly the '.Arma2OAProfile' which contains the control scheme.

    Recommended AI tweaks?

Welcome back! I recommend using ASR_AI. I've remember seeing an interesting combination around here somewhere, I'll try to locate it now. :)
  11. You have released this with good intentions, and appreciate you trying to support the community, however this is essentially a script that creates fake barriers to contain players within a certain area, thus limiting the players' ability to be creative when attacking targets, and goes completely against the authenticity driven path of the Arma series. There are many more realistic, and creative ways to keep players within a certain area. Be it with an increased enemy presence; unmarked minefields; time sensitive objectives or even by simply creating objectives which interest and grab the players' attention. Please don't take my, or others' opinions personally, especially around here. I hope that you find the above constructive, I'll definitely look out for more content from you. Opinions differ, just don't let I or anybody else stop you from doing what you enjoy. :)

    ArmA 2 Control issues

I suspect that this may be an issue with keyboard locality. Navigate to 'Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Language', your keyboard layout should be displayed as 'Keyboard layout:'. Post back with the name of your keyboard type.

Crashing MP game: No error message

It's impossible to be certain what caused the crash without log files. Upload your log files using a service similar to Pastebin and hopefully somebody will be able to direct you to a solution, or tracker ticket for the specific crash.

Allow us to choose the path of arma3.rpt

This change allows for more accessibility when debugging crashes and errors. Each, or every few launches have independent report files. I'm sure if you're trying to link to them, you should be able to use a wildcard (*) when searching for the file name.
  17. You have been using the forum for nearly three years, by now you should understand how it works. Wishlist.

Can sombody help me with this?

I'm sure I had a similar problem when installing with Steam. Install everything including BAF and PMC, then run each specific package once before playing with them together.

Can sombody help me with this?

In future, please be more descriptive with your post title. Navigate to your Steam library and validate your games files for BAF, post back and let us know how you get on.

Server not starting due to mods?

The last time I played Arma 2 with ACE, @CBA_CO (or similar) was required, and replaced _A2 and _OA. Double check for dependencies of @CBA. It also seems like ACRE is hanging the server. Upload the missing file (below) and see if it changes anything. ===================================================================== == C:\*******\*****\exec_meu13.exe == \*******\*****\exec_meu13.exe -ip=**.**.***.*** -port=2302 -name=server -config=cfg\server.cfg -cfg=cfg\basic.cfg -profiles=cfg -mod=arma2;expansion;ca;@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@ACE; ===================================================================== Exe timestamp: 2013/04/28 23:29:38 Current time: 2013/06/02 18:40:52 Version 1.62.95251 ErrorMessage: Include file userconfig\ace\ace_clientside_config.hpp not found.

That community must be really awesome, they even have images of real-life people! Where can I find their TeamSpeak information? I see what you did there... ;D

    Lights On in Building

I'm not certain about your question, but assume that once the game is finished, all lights would come on automatically at night. They probably haven't been configured yet. Take a look at TPW Houselights (Singleplayer, Multiplayer).
  23. Great idea, I didn't think about using waypoints. How would the AI react to a moving waypoint though? Surely it'd affect path-finding.

    Getting Started.....

There seem to be dozens of "tactical realism" communities springing up each day, I can guarantee you that most of these contain nothing more than immature kids trying to impersonate, thus disrespecting, real life units. I strongly recommend avoiding these, especially those which brag about being led by serving personnel. However, there are numerous humble communities led by such personnel, they're not all the same. As for developing your own community, it's certainly possible if you have unique ideas and don't follow what seems to be the norm today. Thriving communities aren't build overnight though, it takes a lot of work and can be expensive. You have a few options here. Player hosted Launch the game and navigate to Multiplayer, (iirc) in the bottom left there should be an option to create your own. Input the details and select your mission, people will be able to join. However I'm fairly certain in Arma 3, performance would be lower than if you used the dedicated executable. Dedicated/Rented You will find all information here. I recommend also taking a look at this tool.
  25. I'm looking through the commands to see which are most suitable, if any. In the meantime If you would like the player to chase AI, you could use allowFleeing and fleeing, combined with a loop which lowers the bravery until the player is more than a set distance away. That may work, depending on how fleeing works. -- I doubt that this can be done easily. AI path-finding isn't great and I'm pretty sure one could loose AI in pursuit by going off-road, since it'd confuse them. The only related command is doFollow. It might be possible by using unitCapture and unitPlay, with a little trickery to update the path for the chasing vehicle to that of the fleeing, however I don't think that command is available in Arma 3, and it doesn't work with foot mobiles.
