  1. Thankyou all for trying to fix my particular problem. I have finally found a solution to my problem. The problem was a incorrectly uninstall Norton Internet Security. The uninstall failed and left files and the registry with elements of the program. These remenents blocked incoming internet messages eventhough all Windows Control Panel settings where untick and correct. So all you have to do is go to Nortons and get the "Nortons Renoval Tools" and it removes all the elements of the program.

I found this solution when I upgraded my Itunes and it failed to connect to the internet. A post on the forums on Itunes and this youtube video

lead to me getting the tools and now everything works from Itunes, Safari to Arma 2 to Yoma's addons to Gamespy Comrade. The problem didn't affect Arma 1 or FSX which was totally confusing.

So thankyou again for all your support and I hope this post helps somebody else.

    Cheers,

    Clayton

  3. I reinstalled Arma 2 today back to version 1.01. Then went to fileplanet and progressively installed all the incremental updates from 1.02 to 1.04 and the because it was not 1.05 had to install 1.0 to 1.07 update.

The result was nothing changed throughout the process and no servers ever appeared.

Struggling with this one Arma gurus. In terms of multiplay what files are necessary and should there already be files in the MPMission folder as mine is blank?

Any help really appreciate as I am really missing online gameplay.

    Cheers,

    Clayton

  4. I will check those two things and get back to you. Cheers Clayton

Check anti-virus turn off and have not changed the router since playing multiplayer on Arma 1. I just checked the MPMissions folder in Arma 2 on my directory and on the dvd. They both have no files in them. Could this be a cause on the basis that the servers all run versions of MPMissions? Cheers Clayton

  5. New to form hi all,

Just installed Arma 2 and it works fine as a standalone game in single player. I went to Multiplayer and no servers are listed. Checked the filters and they are the default ones. Went to updates page on Arma 2 website and installed patch v1 to 1.07. Still no servers listed. Noted on forum some say install patch 1.05. Did that no servers listed. Checked forum some say create BattlEye folder and download the two files from the BattlEye website into that folder. Did that still no servers listed. Installed the Arma 2 Windows server from the updated page and still no servers listed.

I seem to be at a loss. The only last thing I can think of is to install BattlEye from the Arma 1 dvd and see is that works. So any ideas Arma gurus!

    Cheers,

    Clayton
