Perhaps a ''wheel command'' feature like in the Battlefield series would be better for quick-commands.

What keeps ArmA going is the mods, without them it would pretty much be dead. And the controls would be another problem, as there are too few of them on the Xbox/PS3 controller. It would be a hard port which I can 99% guarantee wont happen, there are other ways to get more customers :]

A compilation of the Apache me and a friend put together, he flew and I filmed/edited. Thought I'd bring some nostalgia by adding an OFP track in there, so go easy on the music :] Rgq-QClvR2Q

Arma 2:OA and CO will no longer start at all :(

It looks like they've fixed it now, I started up BAF and an installation window popped up, and when it finished it started up the game just fine. -

I've got the same issue, OA and BAF wont launch but ArmA 2 vanilla works fine, Steam tries to launch it multiple times every second and after a while I get a message saying the game is unavailable and that I should try again later. I take it that it's a small conflict somewhere and that we have to wait a day or two until they fix it. -

That reminded me of why I'm not an addon maker. Seriously though, I really appreciate you pushing it as far as the engine lets you, no disrespect to other modders...but BIS is bound to make some improvements to the aerial aspect as soon as this one goes gold, I mean..who's gonna fly anything else? :p -

Looking great Myke, have you edited the flight model or are you keeping the same as in v1? And if I may ask, how much of the addon is complete in percentage? :p -
In real life it's very rare for a car to explode when engaging it..and if anything does, it's most likely the armament being fired and not the car, it just deforms and catches fire most of the time. ;)

Incredible work Myke, I hope this encourages BIS to improve the aerial aspect of Arma to a more sim-worthy standard. -
When using this soundmod I don't get any sounds at all, I've tried using a modfolder, tried having the files in the AddOns folder in the Arma 2 directory folder, and with a clean shortcutline and no other addons. Anybody know what causes this?

Sure there would have to be some small changes to the game, but nothing gamebreaking or anything that non-headtrack users would notice, but at this point it feels like the pilot's head is on a stick. I know that ArmA 2 is not a flightsim, but I know of many people who play it mainly for the aerial part, and isn't that what Arma is trying to achieve, a mil-sim with every aspect of war in it except politics? It would be easier to land a helicopter f.ex. by actually being able to see what's under you in a 50 meter radius without going to 3rd person view. To take it to the next level, they could add leaning inside vehicles like in VBS to make the body move with the head, which would apply to non-headtrack users with keybinds.

I wouldn't mind 6DOF entering the ArmA franchise, for the vehicles that benefit from it. Then again, I don't know how limited it is to the game engine since it barely has been talked about.
