So let me get this straight. You want there to be an unlock system and have a loader that launches before the game so you can customize your character? That's stupid. Why would you have points? Why would you have a separate launcher just for character creation? Why do people want to ruin the only REAL game that is essentially left for the PC gaming community. BIS seems to be the only devs that care for the PC community. Unlike consoles, there are only a few exclusives. It's best to keep the game's core the same, rather than add a bunch of useless features that the original player base dislikes. If you add a bunch off useless features, then you will lose your real player base and gain a bunch of mainstream gamers such as you (Korpen, and 5Leven). Please do not ruin this game. This is an open-sandbox style war SIMULATOR. Not a dress up and look nice for the battlefield sonny.

Then it is just a useless bunch of bytes in your game :P It's inaccurate info, and it's private. Therefore it's meaningless info.

I vote for AAR. Also, even if the stats are only on your PC, it's still inaccurate based on the circumstances from missions.

ArmA isn't really a game suitable for this idea. Atleast this idea was better than your leveling up idea. I would like to see an after action report - if that is what you are going for. Statistics of what you did when the mission is over. How many casualties, kills, objectives complete, time, and some other good stuff. Leaderboards and such just won't work/be accurate in ArmA. As some others stated, some missions are different from others. You could have a mission where all you do is patrol, or you could have one where you are sent out on a big battlefield and you are able to kill many. It just isn't going to work for this game/sim.

Opinions :rolleyes: EDIT - And bad grammar. If you really think it isn't necessary, then go put a bunch of infantry somewhere and set off an explosion. What do you see? Either they are all laying down dead in the same place, or they are all flying in the air with the standing animation. I would rather see a ragdoll flying in awkward ways than see an unrealistic standing pose of a guy flying through air from an explosion.

I don't know either. ArmA is just fine the way it is. The lack of physics, predefined death pose of a guy floating in midair because his toe is touching a ledge, and a flying man in a standing animation from an explosion are all natural and give ArmA the realistic tone we all desire. So yes, there shouldn't be PhysX or physics, because it just downright makes no sense to have our GPU's do the work instead of our CPU's. Why lower the workload on the CPU to calculate AI rather than physics? Silly people. /sarcasm.

I already said this, but I guess people missed it... If we don't get a cover system, then atleast have the crouch stance adapt to nearby objects. For example, if you were crouched behind a humvee, then your character would either raise up a bit or lower depending on the height of the humvee or anything he is near.

I setup a dedicated server to play LAN with my dad. When I join, it says that my CD Key is in use or illegal copies may fade. Why can't I play LAN?

Atleast add kitchens in some houses so females could be at some use then.

Atleast let female characters be able to use weapons. They are mostly useless in ArmA 2 right now.

Maybe we could get mirrors to look around corners? I remember seeing that in 'SWAT2' back in the good ol' days XD

How about we wait for ArmA3 to release before we start talking about DLCs? Also, that's ALOT of work to create all those factions. You don't just make a new faction name, and slap a bunch of units in there with a different camo; You have to research upon the armies and be accurate on many aspects.

Exactly. Leave zombies for ZOMBIE games. This isn't a zombie game, this is a mil-sim. It's like getting SimCity for C&C styled gameplay.

I'm not against the idea of a zombie dlc, as I'm not forced to play it. I would buy the DLC, as it would be an interesting twist in the gameplay, but it just doesn't seem like it would be fitting in the Armaverse.

Don't know if this was mentioned yet, but I would like to see the character "adjust" to the height of a nearby object when crouched to allow more cover.
