    Turkey Coup D'Etat

I'm going to stay unbiased here. There's no doubt that both sides are up to something. I'm just sharing the perspective of a Turk I talked to, to better understand the situation from all sides.

    Turkey Coup D'Etat

I talked with someone from Turkey to get their perspective on the coup. Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country (for those who don't know, I guess). They love Erdogan as their leader. The Turks are fighting ISIS and have so far killed ~3000 of them. Turkey houses millions of refugees. The Turks believe the US and Gulen is behind the coup. They want the US to send Gulen back to Turkey so they can "deal" with him (they really hate Gulen -- the person I talked with called him ugly, lol); there were also a mention about someone named "John F. Campbell". The Turks hate our government because we're causing the mess in the Middle East with ISIS, destabilizing the region. The Turks are training the Peshmerga Kurds to help fight ISIS. The Turks hate Hillary, they mostly support Trump, some think he's racist, but they see that from our media, the same media whom is pro-Hillary. The US isn't seriously trying to destroy ISIS, we could easily wipe out those goat fuckers (the Turk I was talking to actually used that term, lol). The US is trying to make Turkey weaker by allowing ISIS to grow stronger to further the destabilization of the Middle East, maybe to further the New World Order agenda set in by Bush Sr. From their perspective, the US attacked them. They hate America (not Americans) -- and to be fair, a lot of Americans hate the corrupt American leadership as well. The Turks have a lot of pride in their country and their leader, Erdogan. They describe themselves as brave and strong against the coup -- the civilians went out and attacked the coup soldiers, climbed on tanks, etc. Just thought I'd share this useful perspective that I got from an actual Turk. Western media is absolute shit when it comes to reporting the facts. It's all propaganda.

Politics aside, I think we can all agree that the world is in a horrible position right now.

Pick your poison. They're all talk at this point, just go with the one with the message you agree with and hope they can deliver. I too feel that Hillary will win, regardless of the people's opinion. Rigged elections.

    DNC Leaks

Americans are beginning to realize how corrupt our government is, though some prefer to just tune it out and go about their daily lives. Having worked in county government as a programmer before, I can tell you that even government at the lowest tiers here have corruption in their upper levels. It's rampant. A lot of the claims against Trump, spread by the mainstream media and the DNC are mostly manufactured/false, evident in the DNC leaks. There were even plans to smear Bernie Sanders on his lack of religious faith, and to create fake Craigslist ads to slander Trump. Trump has been overcoming many odds. I remember when people said he would never get the 1237 delegates needed to be the nominee. Not many people thought Trump was serious when he started, I included. Things have changed and many of Trump's claims have turned out to be true so far, and he is really resonating with a lot of Americans when it comes to putting America first in many issues, as it's obvious that things are very dysfunctional and detrimental to our future. His political incorrectness is perhaps one of his most liked traits for his supporters, and that he doesn't sugar coat issues. This election is a very sensitive one with many voters taking one of the two extreme political sides. What I've noticed is that most Bernie and Trump supporters' align in cause; to stop the corruption and improve America for Americans. This election is more of a movement.

    DNC Leaks

I'm going to try and remain unbiased in this thread. By the looks of it, it's very likely that Trump will be the next president. From the looks of it, Bernie supporters are very angry at the DNC, Bernie, and Clinton; with protests larger than that at the RNC. The establishment on the Democrat side is in damage control mode right now. In my opinion, the party system needs to go. People shouldn't pledge their political allegiance to a group, voting for someone just because they're part of their "team." It should be based on the character.

    DNC Leaks

The mainstream media is doing their best to deflect from the scandal. If you're not from the US, note that our mainstream "news" outlets are all owned by a few elites. Millions of Americans are at the disposal to the bias of a few. Our news rarely reports on what's going on in the rest of the world, unless it involves a terror attack. They're all propaganda networks.

    Turkey Coup D'Etat

IIRC, I saw a headline which mentioned that Erdogan knew about the coup plan in advance.

Could also be negligence. I did see a video where a jeep was being shot at by a helicopter's cannon. Was the helicopter part of the coup (given that it was the same helicopter that is seen in more popular videos)? None of this seems right.

That's what I've noticed, too. After every major terror attack, you see ISIS claiming responsibility. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, and as you said, are just claiming the attack to appear stronger than they really are. They're probably condoning the attack, but not directly responsible as people may think. Trolls if anything if that were true.

When borders were enforced, a majority of those whom preached the deadly ideology were at least contained. Now terror is widespread among the world. Tolerance for those whom do not tolerate is nonsense, it needs to be mutual. Better safe than sorry.

Yes, there's no one-size fits all solution to stop this issue, it has to be solved in small steps. Countries still have to be smart about who they let in and their respective agencies need to be tougher on those who are suspected radicals. Closing doors *temporarily* will in the least reduce the flood of potential radicals and give people time to think of a viable solution, because face it, the world has a large problem on their hands and no one knows how to solve it yet. We know that a hefty majority of the terrorists are coming from those regions and are exploiting the immigration/refugee process. We know that there's an issue with "radical" Islam, or people trying to enforce Sharia, yet everyone is afraid to address these issues in fear of being labeled a racist xenophobe. Pro-Sharia Muslims can't exist within Western society without bringing upon these problems that we see nearly every month.

Did you just accuse me of racism and xenophobia for wanting to prevent refugees who come from regions where ISIS and other terror groups originate from and exploit these processes from entering our countries? Muslim is not a race. I disagree with Islam, like many religions. Pulling the xenophobia/race card is typical. With your argument, why do Islamic terrorists want us to hate all Muslims (which I already stated, I don't). They want to wage war and recruit as many people as possible to join their side. What are we to do? Sit back and just take the attacks and the blatant threat to Western life as we know it, all for the sake of being humanitarians? I'm not against the actual people who are refugees that are legitimately in need of help, I am against the immigration which is being exploited by these terrorist groups. By all means, help out the actual refugees, but don't put the entire nation(s) at risk just to do so.

Exactly. My whole life, since I was a child (born 1995), I've seen Islamic terror attacks constantly reported, plaguing the world. When will it end? When will people see that Islam is not a "religion of peace?" The world is backasswards now. Islam is at war with the world, and people are blind to that. Let's not forget:
