To those who don't understand why people are angry about this - it's not just because the campaign is delayed, it is because we all paid for this game thinking that we would get all or at least most of the features that were promised years ago only to find out that almost all of those features have been axed after we bought the Alpha; The delay of the campaign is another addition to the stack of disappointments in the development of ArmA3. Ever since the game was announced features just kept being removed with no hope of them being remade or put back in; the excuses just proved that the dev team lacks the capability to do anything. BIS pretty much stated that they are relying on the community to fix their game (what if the community decides to not do so?). It's like they have no motivation or knowledge to work on this game and actually improve upon it. This is just a reskin that most of the community doesn't care for (this whole 20 years into the future nonsense) with the small engine improvements we want (PhysX, TrueSkys, Picture in Picture) - and even those features are poorly implemented... The people that make excuses for the poor development of this game must not care about what they pay for or easily accept mediocrity.

What are you rambling about? The engine hardly utilizes our hardware. No matter how much hardware advances, this engine will only use a small portion of it.

I hope another developer makes something like ArmA but with an engine that can handle it and a team that can actually code in features. Apparently that is something we will never see with BIS.

They might as well just release all these units and Altis now - no point in holding off, nothing is getting improved anyways. This game is practically finished content-wise based on all those vids from 2011 and on... The Alpha focused on infantry yet there was no major change or improvement from alpha to beta regarding them. Same with vehicles for Beta; no interiors for APC's and no interiors planned for tanks. Hell, even ArmA2's APC's had interiors. Right now we have a texture overlayed in front of our screens with a very narrow FOV... There are no plans for this to be improved on. So why hold off on releasing the rest of the game to us now? Apparently our words mean nothing in the development of ArmA3 and everything we say just gets replied with an excuse about a lack of resources (where are they going to then?). So upon release there will be no game. You guys said you aren't aiming for simulation, you are aiming for a sandbox experience. Well you got the sandbox, but no game. Me personally, all I'm interested in is the sandbox portion of the game, but I can foresee the frustration that the newbies to the series will have (and that's what I feel your target audience is now instead of your loyal fans). When discussing axed features you guys had stuff already made but then took them out because you couldn't get it implemented properly. That sounds like you have no decent coders in your dev team and that probably explains why there are no new features being added into the game.

I wonder the same too - each major release in Alpha and Beta was just some more units. We don't want more units, we want these damn bugs fixed and the engine improved! Right now this just feels like a mod instead of a new game. I really thought ArmA3 was going to be THAT game that would have everything fixed with plenty of new features and an improved engine that utilized our hardware. It's getting hard to tolerate this from a company we all expect so much from.

I hope you guys at least have a message on Steam when this is "released" that says "This game is not finished and is lacking features - the game will be finished later". This would warn those who are looking for a finished game and save you the troubles of people complaining about the game not being finished when they buy it.

Bushes and foliage adjustment in Arma III

Would be nice to have the foliage in cfgVehicles so we can place them ourselves and integrate them into scripts (which in return can also solve this problem very easily...) -
At the state ArmA3 is in right now (and might be for a while), I'd rather just play ArmA2 - better FPS, more content, more realism, more fun.

I am unable to sign up for the issue tracker due to not getting a verification email. Hopefully someone else can report this on the tracker. When doing something like player playMove "AmovPercMstpSsurWnonDnon"; the player/unit's velocity will bug and end up causing the person to fly away. I was going to use this animation for surrendering, but couldn't due to this. -

The thing is that people have been doing it right (or atleast were doing it right at the time), then this update came along and ended up spitting tons of errors out on commonly used scripts that had no errors before. -

Open Source != No rights. Closing down a thread doesn't just somehow remove the rights to my work. It is my work, and I own it. The project is protected by Creative Commons. I released the mission open source, it must stay open source. -

@LOD switching based on camera zoom: IIRC this was removed due to performance issues some time during OA's beta patches. In the past in ArmA2 when you looked through an optic such as a sniper scope, everything would switch to a fully detailed LOD and cause a massive performance drop that was unplayable. -

I have a ton of these "cards" in my Steam "inventory" and don't know wtf they are for and why I have them. If you need to be "rewarded" a jpeg to play a game then you have issues.
