  1. Well, I guess what would be interesting is that the server is limited to 50FPS, which I guess sets a limit on the potential clock cycles available to the AI scripts. So having the AI managed by the HC on some of your spare cores might result in even better AI performance.

    It would certainly be interesting to hear how the game played when all 6 cores were contributing, which is obviously what would happen if you ran client/dedi server/HC on your PC.

    For a little while I experimented with giving the client and server cpu settings in the startup eg 2 cores each, and also with setting process affinity, however I have found the best performance to be just leaving them alone.

    I am going to try...just got to figure out how to do it! and then i will let you know!:) Does anybody has a MSO mission that support HC that i can use? Please.

  2. I play like you, on a 4 core i2500k.

    You might be able to get a little better performance, but I don't think it would be noticeable unless you have a lot of AI as, if your experience is anything like mine, you probably find that your server is running at 50FPS all the time.

    Is your CPU overclocked? CPU clock speed makes a big difference to performance of the server particularly. Mine is running at 4.7Ghz. If you are running at stock then it might be worth trying the HC to make use of the spare cores and spread the load a bit.

    I don't have performance issues but in arma 2 more is always better!lol but i do have civilians, animals and wild dogs disable!That is why i ask, because if HC, Dserver and game gives better performance i will enable those options!

    My cpu is running at 4.8ghz 24/7 and gtx 680 sli boost at 1320/1752ghz.

  3. I get way better performance playing MSO single player using dedicated server and the game on the same machine than just playing in lan or testing the mso mission on the editor. Would be possible to have dedicated server, HC and the game in the same machine and get better performance or this is just good for multiplayer? I have a i7 3930k that is a 6 cores.


  4. Just try it Grillob3. It's a sound idea actually.

    I tried but did not like the results! i could kinda like "run and gun" killing ai everywhere, not needing to look for cover or use tactics! so no go deleting ace_c_ai_skills.pbo. What i did to work decent but not the best was setting class asr ai sys_aiskill feature = 0; and tpwcas_skillsup = 0; (where ai will change stance but now skills) now is much harder! 2-5 shots from 50-100mts and i am dead! Its the best result for me for now!


  5. I just made a mission to test ars_ai , zeus ai(ace version), tpwc alone and both separately with tpwc, all with ace. The hardest one was with tpwc alone! i got killed really fast (really good accuracy from vanilla) and was hard to kill the enemies because they would go prone. The easy one was ars_ai because ace seems to be breaking the accuracy! 2 times i was suppose to be dead but AI shot me like more than 5 rounds from 50mts or less and missed all! so i turned and killed them! The best one was with zeus ai and tpwc because they suppressed hard shooting like crazy but not the best accuracy!

    I always played with asr and just started to play mso-ace. But if i leave asr on its just to easy! can i just delete ace_c_ai_skills.pbo?will this fix asr_ai accuracy?

  6. Is anyone else having weird problems with this beta? For me it seem to run scripts that are launched in trigger multiple times. At least around 3-6 copies of the same script was running for me (maybe even much much more). I had a function spawning enemy vehicles with max 6 limit, but only possible to spawn 1-2 (the second with only 10% change) vehicles in about 8 minutes. With this beta 101245 it threw out 6 vehicles out instantly. Also some other scripts are working weird. When I went to back 100697, the scripts are working normally again. Something dosent seem to be right with this beta.

    I got that but not a script trigger by a trigger! The "Chopper/aerial taxi script" by norrin that i added on an mso mission was running 2 at the same time last nite!

    I wanna add and dismiss or deleteunit script. how do i do that? i got a deleteunit.sqf from an mission ( from Saok ) where you radio 0-0-8 after selecting an unit and then it is deleted. How do i put it on a mso mission? i added it on the script folder and called with a radio trigger conditio: null = [player] execVM "scripts\DeleteUnit.sqf"; but does not work.


  8. So when drops from 60 fps to 59 and i get micro stuttering or drops to 10 is because Civs and animals? if i turn it off will go way? i was going to change the gpu driver when i saw "Turning on civs results in 'micro-stutters'".

    And how do i heal ai?with ace? i only can carry them and they wont heal them self by the hospital!?

    How to add an extraction/aerial taxi chopper? Does casevac has that?

    It was for me too!

    Did you copy the database.txt and MySql.data.dll provide on the persistentDB.7z to this folder C:\Users\DjDaemonNL\AppData\Local\Arma2MySQL if you don't have create one! I have this Arma2MySQL and this Arma2NETMySQL with database.txt and MySql.data.dll files in it on appdata\local. I am not sure which is the right one! But is working! And have MySql.data.dll on your arma2oa folder.

    I am a noob on this but that is how i got it working!lol

    I am using TA2DST.exe to set up the server.


  10. Yes i know! i have been playing it and is one of the best things that is happening for arma 2! And thank you guys for that!I was just asking if you guys were planing in making it with a central server like dayz!

    I am getting this "support\script\crb_script\crb_housepos.sqf not found" after playing reshmaan.

    And the mission from PO2 "secure crash site" there is not crash! usully i can't complete those! i played 3 times this in different maps.

    I merged one a takistanAceMSO misson to aliabad map. All works besides some task showing up too far off, but that is not the problem.

    What is happening is that PDB spawn me on my last position and the base far way using takistanAceMSO last PDB position that i played and viseversa! So i think PDB is confusing both mission as one! How do i fix that?


  12. Did not know this... so we are using an edited version of 4.55 but have no editor placed AI.... turning off the AI caching is the best option performance-wise?

    "MSO v4.55 has caching in-built into Dynamic Enemy Populator and CQB modules" plus CEP and NOUJAY so for the best performance you should leave those two off on the parameters! And the MSO downloaded missions will use the Dynamic Enemy Populator and CQB modules. And yes there is no placed AI on the map...from what i saw when unpbo the missions and edited on the editor! Only friendly.

    Is there any missions where you play as OPFOR?
