  1. Finally finished this, the CO version this time. Still have some issues with the final mission, however. I'd failed it and got the "bad" outro, but when I replayed the last mission and finished with a success, no "good" outro followed and I'm stuck with being able to view the "bad" outro. So how does this end?


  2. An excellent mission, make no mistake about it. I have never been big on chopper missions (lacking a joystick and not having a strong enough computer), but this is just pure bliss. A very relaxing experience that is great downtime after combat missions.

    Love the tasks, the sounds, the music (btw, what's that tune that plays during end credits? It sure is catchy), the general atmosphere. I am not sure if it's already included, but was thinking about whether it would add to the mission if there were small guerilla groups here and there, perhaps taking potshots at you as you're en route to targets.

    Finally, it would be awesome, if more versions were made: for other maps, with selectable choppers. I know it's a lot to ask for, but one may dream.

    Once more, this has really been an extraordinary mission that is ideal for relaxing. Thank you.

    problem is, they radioed about the time limit after I've barely gotten to Gorka and then I drove at a break-neck pace to the next village to be searched, a local told me about the island, I drove back to forward base, switched to a truck (it drove faster, IIRC) and barely managed to the coastline in time, let alone capture and deliver Lop.

    The difficulties were not in the least exacerbated by my insubordinate troops, who had big problems with getting onto the motorboat down on the coast.

    Was running with Zeus AI and GL4, if that changes anything. Right, maybe I'll give it a spin then, some day. After I forget the feeling of futility. Thanks.


  4. I see there's a new version with improved timing on the It's Down to This mission... Thanks, that should help greatly, as all I managed to achieve was get frustrated when I played this through. The time limit was impossible, and now I hope to be able to play this with a tad more gusto, instead of the crazy white rabbit chase I had previously.


  5. Hey, sorry for a bit of necro, but this is exactly the thread I need.

    I run into the same problem, with GL4 and Zeus AI mods on,

    I'm in Balota, with the Spetznaz. We clear the village, the Russians tarry in the village, I get to the boat, shoot the sniper that spawns near the harbour, then get on the boat and before we have a chance to escape, the pilot and Lew spawn near the hangar, quite obviously peppering my defenceless arse with lead, as I stare harmlessly at the slow-driving marine.

    Is killing him really the only solution?
