right well kinda sorted it by installing it on my W7 64 partition and its fine, I have no idea why its screwed on my XP 32. Still interested to see if anyone else has had this or knows a solution. Thanks

I have no probs with arma 2 or arma 1 or any other game, I have disabled my firewall, both windows and comodo and its just the same, I understand what your saying with Internet control message Protocol but I dont think thats the issue. Ill reinstall fresh and see what happens but i can't really be arsed lol just wonderd if anyone else has seen this and knows what the real issue is. I have also had ? in arma 1 and 2 with some servs but never all :(

had a look round the forums and could not find anyone else with this problem. Any ideas?
