  2. Just to save tpw the trouble as he probably won't answer you since this has been mentioned before. A lot. You're not stupid, just missed the part in the OP where it answers your questions. I bolded and enlarged relevant information so you won't miss it.
  3. It's a pretty map and I already found great spots for missions. The biggest problem though is that the ambient sound plays on other islands if you have it loaded. That pretty much makes it unusable for multiplayer servers that change terrains. I also ran into a weird pw6 config error. It keeps having to redownload @brg_africa, @ibr_dtowns, @mbg_gen_afr_buildings and @isla_duala

    That was a pretty good explanation and pretty much confirms what we already figured out (moving away from class based hitpoints to damage modifiers based on gear). It's good to see improvements and continued changes on it.

  7. Hey tpw. Here's my adaptation of tpw_park. It includes a parameter to set every vehicle to be (un)locked upon spawn. Dunno if anyone finds this useful or if it breaks civ interaction with the vehicle. I made it because I didn't want players to go hotrodding around with other vehicles than the one I gave them in my mission.

    Establishing Shot

    Sorry for the bump, but I believe this is relevant and a search hasn't found anything useful. I have the player moving in a vehicle during the establishing shot and they move into view to an RV point. The icons for the RV and player for the RV show up fine, but they're static. Is it possible to have the player icon move during the shot like in the main menu?

    Fall Damage

    As someone who's fallen straight down a 10ft hole (stairs collapsed under me) I can attest that it hurts. A lot. I was certain I broke a leg but luckily I shuffled away with just bruises, banged up leg and injured pride.

    He means a classname list of every unit/item/magazine/weapon/vehicle that's included with the mod. It's very handy to have for scripters so you don't have to faff about in the config viewer for everything.

    Man, I just made a mission with Massi's African Conflict units as opfor, and now I see yours and wish I had them instead just for the rpg.
  12. Hear, hear! I too am saddened to hear that there will not be any more updates. Perhaps you can replace the hex-edited MX black rifles with the vanilla black ones so you can open up the mod for someone to continue work? That's the only thing preventing it as far as I can see.
  13. Been happily playing with your scripts, very nicely done! They're very robust and while I'm no wizz at scripting, so far I've managed to learn a lot from them. It's a real treat to tinker with and probably saved (most of) my hair. The following is probably very noobish, but I'll leave it here anyway for total beginners. It took me a bit to figure out. Open the editor and save your mission as mymissionname Alt+Tab Open the mission folder in documents/Arma 3/(profilename)/missions/mymissionname Copy the script you want to use into the folder. Create a new .txt document and rename it init.sqf Open init.sqf and paste in the script exec given in the header E.g. "0 = [5,150,15,5,4,50,0,10,15,1] execvm "tpw_civs.sqf";" (without quotes). Save the file. Oh wow, ninjaed. The new version would've saved me even more time as I manually edited in all the OA buildings. I'm currently making a SP mission that uses tpw_park, tpw_civ and tpw_cars to simulate civilian life around the area. I've managed to alter them to my specific uses (e.g. I wanted all parked civ cars to be locked and launch a specific endmission depending on collateral damage). I'm pretty happy with the results so far, it definitely makes the mission feel more alive and adds another layer of complexity to prevent wanton civ slaughter or making it too easy to spot enemies with the UAV. It's been pretty fun hacking it all together. Thanks again tpw!

    Task Module Position HELP!?!?!?!

    Disable module position. Create a marker and name it something (e.g. Task 1). Then use the marker name in the Marker entry. You task should now point at the marker location.
  15. Looks good so far. If you need pictures of the real thing I've been on safari a few times. The only thing that stood out to me is the sand along the riverbeds, it's too light.

  17. Finally got a chance to play around with it yesterday. It is bloody brilliant! Everything I wanted the BIS UAV's to do pretty much. The only thing I noticed is that the camera effect when in the camera feed will transfer if you switch players. E.g. I lased a target, pressed "Switch Team" (U) to hop to a pilot circling the AO. The pilot now has the fuzzy camera effect.
  18. I probably won't use this (a bit over the top) but I must compliment you work and the video. It's all very nicely done. The Marshall reminded me of some GI-Joe toys I had has a kid (and that's a good thing).

  20. That's exactly what I did. Fixed it by finishing final survive mission again.
  21. The adapt campaign disappeared for me after launching DEV through steam, exiting and launching through pw6. Exiting and entering beta again didn't do anything. Fixed it by finishing final survive mission again.
