    Operations Corvette "Demise"

Where exactly can I find those "tons" of realistic ships for US and Russia? I would really love to see some, especially for the latter.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

Looking forward to the next release, then. :) I hope it won't come too long after the 1.7 patch. Both sensors and dynamic loadouts are real gamechangers, can't wait to play around with them on RHS assets.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

Just FIY, on devbranch, RHS SACLOS missiles don't guide when launched by an AI gunner. BIS recently fixed a similar issue with their own missiles, so I thought it'd also fix RHS ones, but it didn't. Just thought that you guys would like to know (seeing as the sensors overhaul from dev will be hitting the main in a few days). BTW, is there any way I can help with adopting new sensors and dynamic loadout to RHS? I've been playing with those features for quite a while on dev branch.

    2035: Russian Armed Forces (5.3.0)

Would that be possible to add a 550rpm mode to Ka-52 cannon? It's stuck in low ROF mode, which isn't always the best. As an aviation cannon, if it can't be toggled between modes, it should be stuck in the high one, at least.

    2035: Russian Armed Forces (5.3.0)

Here's a Russian source that looks reputable (seems like a military technology news site): https://vpk.name/library/f/armata.html Aside from Kord (which seems like a no-brainer for Armata, seeing as it's the replacement for NSV), it mentions the PKTM and even seems to have its location. My Russian isn't good enough to actually translate that part, though (it seems that it's mounted in an unorthodox way and can be reloaded from outside).
  6. I think that this was intended for cases in which you have, for example, a tank, in which case unit classes are less important than who is the commander, gunner and driver. My proposition is that units in "cargo" or "FFV" positions should have their class displayed, while units operating the vehicle itself (commander, gunner, driver/pilot) should have their role.

    Jets DLC Official Feedback

Regarding the recent FM improvements: 1. Black Wasp still flies at negative AoA for most of its flight regime. Shikra now behaves more or less properly, though at high speeds it can fly with zero AoA (FPM right on top of the "wings" mark). 2. Neither plane turns when banked. FBW systems do not remove that tendency. This still has to be fixed.

    2035: Russian Armed Forces (5.3.0)

OK, a few things... 1. Armata uses an NSVT machinegun instead of Kord (the real thing uses Kord). 2. Armata is missing its coaxial PKT. 3. Ka-52 missiles look like Scalpels.
  9. Thanks, I hope it'll soon be fixed for good. The problem has been around for quite a while, but I noticed it in the RHS mod and thought it was a mod issue. Recent changes to manual guidance prompted me to test the Scalpel, though.

AA/AT Titans, what are they now?

They're actually supposed to be free additions, but for some reason are flagged as DLC content. Hopefully it'll get resolved soon.

At least they're not using pics from ArmA3... :)

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

Real Abrams tanks don't "blow up" (neither do most other, modern designs). Ammunition is stored in a separate compartment with blowout panels and fuel tanks (aside from being filled with kerosene, which is notoriously difficult to ignite) are heavily armored and placed in such a way that they won't destroy the tank, either. I have no problems believing Iraquis losing their tanks due to their own incompetence. I don't believe in them exploding, though, unless deliberately packed full of explosives for the sake of making a propaganda movie. You can cause the writeoff of an Abrams with RPG-7 if you're lucky, but not blast it to pieces.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

It is quite possible, especially as long as there's no slat armor around the engine. IIRC, RPG attacks were the reason for adding it as a part of TUSK - hardly anyone uses heavy ATGMs in urban combat. As it happens, killing the engine in ArmA causes the tank to blow up a while later, which is what is unrealistic here (total hull loses of an Abrams were rare, even if quite a few did get mission killed). We can only hope that with Tanks DLC they will rectify this.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

No, it's realistic behavior. The standard PG-7V HEAT warhead from RPG-7 is more than capable of taking out an Abrams tank, as long as it doesn't hit the front glacis. This is why the Abrams later got ERA boxes and slat armor added on, allowing it to counter warheads of this type. In turn, tandem HEAT PG-7VR warhead was developed as a counter for those armor improvements. The older warheads should do just fine against non-reactive armor on the tank.
  15. I've found an issue with the vehicle transport version of Xian. It only seems to be able to carry the bombs, and the default loadout is empty. An unrelated issue (though probably having to do something with recent weapon changes), this time with infantry transport version, is the FFV seats being broken. I can't put any units in them.
  16. I found a serious bug with "manual guidance" on Scalpel. When flying with AI gunner, it doesn't work, despite the gunner's camera being pointed at target. I tested it with the same scenario with a Kajman hovering near the Stratis airbase, and an emptry HEMTT about 900m from it. First as a gunner, I had no problem hitting the HEMTT by pointing my sight at it and firing. As a pilot however, when I ordered the gunner to target the HEMTT (thus pointing his camera at it, verified with the gunner camera MFD) and fired the missile, it went straight forward, without guiding. I also verified this with Blackfoot. Scalpel manual guidance only works for a human gunner.
  17. He was asking for offline BF-like game mode. I'm pretty sure there are none. All the arcadey crap is MP. Offline scenarios are, from what I've seen, mostly "storyline" missions, more or less similar to vanilla showcases and campaign missions (though voice acting usually isn't as good). They're also few and far between, in comparison to MP missions.

Care to summarize? Twitch doesn't work too well for me.
  19. "B" implies a multiplatform missile in the US naming convention. BGM-71 TOW, for example, could be launched from both ground vehicles, static mounts and aircraft. This would imply that BIM-9X is a variant of Sidewinder which is not exclusive to aircraft. Something like that was tried with MIM-72 Chapparal, but in that case, the missile was modified enough to warrant a new designation. In this case, they might have designed a common version for both SAM and AAM use.

    2035: Russian Armed Forces (5.3.0)

How about changing some names to be a bit more accurate? For example, Mi-28 looks nothing like the Hamok, it should probably be a Kamov helo (Ka-72?). BTR-K is named BMPT in reality and T-100 was heavily based on "Tcherny Orel" (Black Eagle) concept tank. The tank would probably be using Kord HMG and not NSVT, too. Also, I could have sworn that once, there were reskins of Tempest (Kamaz Typhoon) and a Russian skin for Xian VTOL that you or someone else showed. Are they being worked on, or is it just my memory playing tricks on me?

AA/AT Titans, what are they now?

Of course it is, otherwise how BIS would test the new features in MP? Might be hard to find a server, though (and it'd have to be one that's actually for playing and not for testing).

AA/AT Titans, what are they now?

Actually, vehicle-mounted AA Titan was IR-guided too, last time I checked. The radar on AA vehicles is just for gunlaying. SACLOS guidance on AT variants of Titan is silly, but if it were removed, the "Titan" family would be pretty realistic. The RL inspiration for Titan is Rafael Spike, which also has a large number of variants. Vehicle Titan corresponds to the Spike, while man-portable Titan is the Mini-Spike. There's no 230mm MLRS variant, though. :)
  23. I agree, FCS should take relative speed into account. In fact, given how the real thing measures it, it would be more difficult to figure out ground speed from an FCS reading than relative speed.
  24. Having recently gotten into ArmA editing, I've been slowly learning how mission editing works. Eden helped with that a lot. However, I'm still at a loss at how to make the characters actually talk. I'd like to ask for a noob-friendly, comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to add dialogue into a mission. Since I'm planning a rather story-heavy (SP) mission, I'd also like to know how to set up a dialogue tree, the outcome of which could affect the mission events. I searched the board and didn't find anything useful. There are only video tutorials and I don't really want that. I want something I can have open on my laptop, while ArmA3 runs on my main computer. I did find this: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/187118-release-simple-conversation-script/ It seems to be meant for side conversations. That's useful, but doesn't solve the problem of "main" dialogue.
  25. The 60s are not strong with this one... :) (also, thanks for getting this stuck in my head. That thing's a bloody earworm!)
