    Dynamic Helo extractions

    It works perfectly. I added 2 Cobras to the formation and they do provide armed escort. Is there a way to have or name the individual unit something so it shows up when you scan across it? Like for instance, you would see "Rescue1" on the Chinook and "Dagger 1 or 2" on the Cobras? Kind of like it does to your player name.

    Domination Lift Script Help...

    I would like to know this too. I added a Chinook and a Merlin to my Dom and since I pulled out the CH1 designation, they no longer can lift. I believe they have to be told they can in an array. I just don't know where this is. Am I on the right track?
  3. I am curious to know how you would add FLIR to a Domination map. I did a search but was not to successful on how this gets worked in.

    If you load up an M1A2 and get in as a gunner, on screen and not action menu, will say FLIR ON/OFF. That is the part that makes me think it is an add-on. Cool none the less.

    This whole time I never used N while in the gunner position in the AH-64. Day missions mostly and never thought to hit it. The AH-64 just does it in the N cycle. The M1 and the Warrior have a FLIR ON/OFF option in the action menu that shows up. This whole time and I never used it. Sorry for a silly question. :o

    I played a Chernarus map with the M1A1 and it had a FLIR select option on it once you got in it. I am familiar with the TWS rifles and it is pretty cool. I also have seen it on an Apache in OA. Any idea how they got that working?
  7. I came across this before and thought it was a key mapping issue. However it does not appear to be. If you fly an A-10 or an AH-64 and fly near an OPFOR tank, it will AUTO SPOT for you and you can choose to fire or not. You have to have the Hellfire or the AGM Mavericks armed to see it. Well, it appears that I have defaulted my key mappings again and I still cannot target any enemy armor without using TAB to locate it and then fire on it. I believe that I was able to NOT have to use TAB to target it previously. You guys come across this at all? I know if you use TA2DST there is a setting for auto spot, but is also seems NOT to toggle this feature. PS, I am using a brand new install of the ARMAs as of 1 day ago.
  8. Anyone come across where you add vehicles or air to a DOM map and they won't respawn. I added an A-10 and it won't respawn, however the AH-64 I added will. Any ideas if the A-10 is blacklisted anywhere from respawning? Actually, its any piece I placed that was not part of the original 4 helos on the map.

  11. I am not sure what setting was changed but I can't seem to lock onto any enemies like previous games. I can't lock using the Javelin, Apache, A-10, etc. What key binding or setting would change this?

    Lost ability to target enemy

    I just defaulted all the controls and now I have the ability to use the Javelin fine, but still can't target armor with the AH-64 or A-10. I tested on a new map and an old one. *resolved* Apparently, the tab key default map is what targets for you. If you remap it, you lose it. Hopefully this will help the next person out.

    DS server.txt file

    I can't seem to run my Dom map. It's set up on the server and it is playable from that machine. When start the map, it hangs on a vote. I assumed that I needed to edit something in the server file, but I can't find it. On a fresh install of ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA, launching CO from the OA menu will combine both games. It seems it will not COPY the addons folder to the OA server root. Copy it from ARMA 2 root to the OA root and now you have a CO server. Thanks JMAN ;)
  14. Where would this file go? Is it a file within the .pbo or would it be created documents folder? Also, what is necessary in that file? Can it just be a password for the admin password? :confused:

    Alright, wrongly associated .pbo files

    edited for clarification. I am able to have the server start the default COOP games, just not the new one. Is there a vote requirement in it before it starts?
  17. I copied a MP file over to another PC and I associated the .pbo file with the ARMA2.exe. This won't let the game launch on the remote PC when trying to get it to be a server. I need to get that file associated now with the Green ARMAII logo for .pbo's, not the game .exe. I can't find where to make this change. ---I know how to re-associate files, I just can't find the path for the new association.

    Alright, wrongly associated .pbo files

    Yes, the name of the map is available, but it won't load. I went to check out on the good install how it is working vs the non working one. I always use the ARMAOA CO to play on the good installed PC. I used a freshly installed OA server from STEAM with the Addons. If you look in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\MPMissions you will see an ARMAII icon for the .pbo. I had the arma2.exe set to run on the server, and it would fail saying it needed arma 2 to be installed. I believe it was just launching wrong since the different file association on the first PC works. I reinstalled the whole game and servers. It now looks like an OA icon, but it will still not launch the game. Once I select the game, it goes to a vote screen and won't initiate the load. I can play the map fine on that local server. It just won't start it.
  19. I checked here and found a thread; http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=100176 on how to engage this feature, but if I don't want it or want to add an exception to the vehicle type, ...where is this file so I can edit it?

    Sure! It's the Domination map West - AI. I added other choppers to the game and you can fly them right away. The AH-64 and the A-10 kick you out right away. Since they don't have anything in the init field, I assume from another thread that they are on an exempt list for 30 minutes. I was messing around with the parameters on the server screen, and it is an option there. I am all set. Thank you.
  21. I have downloaded DomOA_2_28. I have used PBO view to extract the files. I have placed them in the editor. I have installed ACE core and extra to the OA install folder. It will not let me play/edit the map because of missing ace_sys_air_refuel, ace_sys_bi_arty, and ace_sys_repair. I thought the install of the core ACE would fix it. What is needed to make this Domination editable? Thanks in advance. I did search, but I got very confused since there is a lot of stuff on it.

    The visible thing is good to go. I added the PMC guys, but at first they were non playable and they showed up while the army guys did not. I changed them to playable and the do not show up in the intro like the army guys do. phew. :) Okay, so the TOD issue. I did not know that 0:00 was needed for the description.ext to take over. I changed it back and edited the game file, not the editable file for MP and it works correctly. I did notice that it was changed to 0:00 in the editor and the des.ext file, but when I would export to MP, it would update the actual game file. I changed it manually and it worked. **Thank you***

I would assume that default 5 = 0500 hrs, but it is not. Sorry for being stubborn. Don't worry about the ACE one. I got further on the vanilla one. I meant the players in the real game once you add them in the editor. If they are Playable, they disappear in the beginning. Non Playable, makes them appear. Thank you for helping.

    I just could not get it to cooperate. I gave up and just decided to edit vanilla Domination. I need to know 2 things; I wanted to change the weather and time, but it won't reflect the changes in the game. Do I have to edit a file instead? Also, if I add the PMC guys, they show up in the intro and not hidden like the Army soldiers.     I made sure -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX; was added to the target after -nosplash ACE is supposed to be extracted to ...\\OA right? I also installed the Addon Sync and pulled all the files. Still won't work. *****update****** I found the mission.sqm and at the top I deleted the request for those mods. I was then able to bring up the editable map, but its missing a lot of stuff. bump.... Any ideas now?
