has anyone had any luck contacting anyone from sprocket? i dont know if its because of the time difference but i emailed them last night regarding my installation CRC issues with no response, and the MSN/skype support has been offline for nearly 24 hours.

i used firefox to download the OA files from the Plat.net mirror, and i used getright for the Arma2 files as it was horribly slow otherwise, funny thing is the Arma2 installation works fine, its the OA install im having trouble with.

not sure if this is related to anything here, but its certainly odd, when i go to uninstall Arma2 it launches the game, and goes to the main menu, when i click "exit" the uninstallation carries on as usual, is this normal??

well ya making it further through the installation than i am, my CRC error occurs right after it copies the ARMA2Patch_1_07.exe to the Arma2 directory....

C:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 and just install mods/missions like you would normally.

no my A2 is a fresh install from the sprocket files i downloaded last night.

yeah the A2 patch ran fine, i ran the one i downloaded when it was released last week, and arma2 patched up to 1_07 no problem, i also just ran the one that came with OA and that ran fine as well, not that it did much, just went straight to 100% complete/successful in about 5 seconds, obviously because my A2 is allready patched, and yes i am using an admin account. the error occurs right after the OA installer finishes copying the ARMA2Patch_1_07_.exe to my Arma2 directory.

well this is frustrating ive never had so many problems just installing a game, ive finally installed/patched arma 2 successfully after editing the registry, now i have this problem when i go to install OA....i run the sprocket installer and it tells me all files are downloaded, ok so i run the OA setup.exe in my documents/sprocket and now i get this "File copy error (CRC does not match). C:\Program files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\ARMA2Patch_1_07.exe" error, is there any one simple solution for this problem? this thread is a bit confusing... as per the hot fix mentioned here http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1660338&postcount=80 I have tried to install to a different directory to extract the patch file, but it wont install anywhere, everytime i run the setup.exe i get this error regardless of where i try to install... i checked my arma 2 directory after my last failed attempt to install OA and it now contains the ARMA2Patch_1_07.exe (456840KB) yet i still get the CRC error.. am i doing something wrong?

i think a nice balance would be to get rid of the ag bike farmer joe model and bring in the 700cc yamaha raptor :D

ok thanks for the reply, i think i will just buy the whole package from sprocket, the way steam likes to download the whole game just to update the files is really irritating, ill be glad to not have to use it again.

gday, not sure if this has been covered before but i had a search and couldnt find any info, but basically my situation is this, i bought arma 2 on steam a while back, but im looking to get away from using steam so would i be able to use my arma2 steam key for the sprocket version? and will sprocket allow me to download the combined pack if i only buy OA? or would i have to buy both keys again?

1 kamov an hour is still enough to dominate the map in wrfare.

i dont mean to sound condescending, its just that all the PvP missions ive played are very basic, they almost feel like every other fps game ive played, what sets this game apart from every other FPS is its depth, i guess i just prefer missions that make the most of the games features, seems a waste to play basic CoD style PvP in a game that offers so much more.

opfor have the home ground advantage??? im sure there would be some way to balance a game of warfare, no doubt any huge imbalances will become obvious after a couple of weeks.

well to be fair the GoN server has seen a bit of PvP action lately, not much, but a bit, usually late at night when noone cbf starting a new warfare game

wow, pretty sure you were having a crack at someone in your second post werent ya? if you cant handle being attacked then you should probably use a bit more tact in your posts. Im fairly new to the Arma series so the only gametypes ive experienced are Dom and Warfare, got bored of Coop pretty quickly but I am hopelessly addicted to warfare atm, think ive clocked up around 100hrs in the last month or so in the GoN server, love the mix of strategy and FPS. Does PvP offer the same level of strategy as warfare? or is it more CoD style gameplay?
