  1. I'm getting various small error messages during single-player missions, generally regarding script errors etc. None of them cause the mission to cease functioning, but I was just wondering if this is a known issue or if there was perhaps a problem with my installation procedure? I'm using V2.61 currently.
  2. I'm looking for a sound mod that lowers the "tone" of the missile lockon for the Javelin, Sidewinder, etc. It seems much louder than anything else, and... honestly it pisses off my dogs and makes them bark :P I noticed a ticket for this on the bugtracker, and was wondering if anyone had made a little mod to lower the volume for the time being?
  3. I really look forward to the day this mission is fully working. So much potential :(

    [CAMP] Carrier Operations - Duala

Anyone else having issues with enemy air targets on the first mission being white (un-tab targetable)? Is this intended to represent a strict ROE for air targets, or is this a reported issue? Flying around near the base out of AA range is fine, but then when I get the call that a fast mover has taken off I'm unable to lock it up and just cycle through AG targets instead with my AMRAAM's and Sidewinders :( Is this in someway tied to the RWR option in the Avionics menu? Or is that just a radar warning receiver that isnt implemented totally? EDIT: is it possible to queue up multiple JDAM Marks with the GPS/INS menu? Or just one at a time? (Sorry if this is better asked in the F18 addon's thread, figured folks here would know as well)
  5. Hello, and thanks all for the replies. I'm sorry for the delay in replying :( It seems OCing my CPU isnt really feasible at the moment, as even using the autoclock function in AMD Overdrive leads to a crash around the 2.9ghz mark. That coupled with bios that cant be unlocked (apparently) mean that it doesn't seem like a possible option at this point. I assume the crash is due to the motherboard's limitations though I've nothing to confirm my suspicion. Regarding the PSU, I'm not sure of the exact make now. I recieved it from a friend awhile back, and I was told its in the 700 watt range. This was a huge upgrade from my default 300-ish watt model that came with the PC. Duly noted on the card issue. I'll do what I can to upgrade the CPU in the future, and the GPU will be on the list afterwards. Thank you for the advice everyone, its certainly appreciated. ArmA2 was one of the games I was hoping to handle with this PC setup, and I regret having not done any more research beforehand.
  6. The card is an ATI 5750. Runs up to about 70-ish under load in ArmA2.
  7. Hello :) This is my computer: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=ASUS+CG1330&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=1116091274840872687&sa=X&ei=-7qMTunoC8r40gGTzYzWBA&ved=0CC8Q8wIwAg I was foolish and bought a hexacore 2.6ghz, rather than a more capable quadcore. I'm very limited in my overall fps in any missions it seems, especially campaigns. At a glance, is it safe to say this is due to CPU bottleneck? Overclocking isnt really feasible due to the motherboard's restrictions. I'm going to attempt to upgrade the PSU today to an 800 watt model, which will be the first step in any future hardware improvements for this computer.
  8. Zero difference here, it appears. Or very little, to the extent that I'm not noticing anything substantial.
  9. Thank you, the last one is along the lines of what I was looking for. I should have been clearer, but I primarily meant to ask if there were any addons like the Proper files that changed the LoD switching of buildings and trees/plants. They always provided a huge performance boost for me.
  10. Are there any vegetation mods available like the "Proper" series that helped with people's FPS by swithcing LoD sequences, except for Operation Arrowhead?
  11. Downloaded a bunch of single missions, and really was stuttering hard in a few. Considering buying http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808 in the future, with a mobo replacement if necessary. Really regret not getting that processor in the first place :(
  12. hello there, long time OFP, ArmA, ArmA2 fan here :) I'm running OA on a rig with a Phenom II X6 1035T, sadly capped at 2.6. Any attempts to OC past 2.8 using AMD Overdrive's HT Clock bar caps me at 2.8 or so before I suffer immediate errors. 2.8 however seems safe so far... Anyways, my computer also has 8 gigs ram, and an ATI Radeon 5700 series according to dxdiag. Is my big bottleneck here my CPU? I'm worried that my stock mobo may not welcome any more attempts to OC it from 2.6 to 2.8 :(

    Campaigns

I liked it personally. But I really -REALLY- think it should have been broken up into smaller parts, rather than have you driving all around the country (Manhattan and Razor Two). Thats my one big complaint, aside from the Warfare implementation in the very end.
  14. Either 1 or 3 make a substantial difference I think. Overall 3 in my case, it appears. Geforce 7950 GT AMD Athlon X2 Processor 3860 2 gigs ram All settings low or very low where possible, shadows disabled, AA and post processing disabled, view distance 1200. FPS in the default benchmarks hasnt changed noticeably, but ingame feels alot more fluid during missions and campaign. Most noticeably, when entering Manhattan during the campaign I noticed very little microstutter with exThreads=3, and smoother gameplay overall it seems. Also possible coincidence, but GPU temp is MUCH lower than it formerly was (upwards of 90 Celsius, now 80 at max), and is a very welcome side effect of the betas :)
  15. Hello :) Really low spec computer here :P AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 3800 Geforce 7950, latest drivers 2 Gigs ram Windows XP Media Center Edition Latest series of beta's yield a frame rate in Benchmark 1 and 2 of 23/8 respectively. Previously was getting 29/16 roughly. Will continue tweaking settings, as this enormous a drop sounds like it may be something with my install settings.
