  1. Settle down now, Sheilas and Joeys. I'm pretty sure this is nothing but a fair dinkum trolling attempt. Looks like some bloke has had too much to drink at a pub down in NSW. :D

Just an icon, no installer? That icon looks odd, what's that additional icon attached to it? Hmm...

Hahah, but the thing is, he's got the new demo, but he also plays The Sims 3, so he must be telling the truth ;) . Only joking, I believe the guy actually.

  2. I got the same impression, but after watching videos about it and seeing Arma 1 and operation flashpoint I went out and bought it.

    The demo was

    A) Buggy like the game at release

    B) unoptimized and you couldnt use mods, which is a shame because the game needs mods

Why should you be able to use mods on a demo? I've played games forever, and hardly any games let you play mods on demos, because if they did, people can add so much stuff that theres no point buying the game.

  3. Actually this is for positional audio plugins, not the overlay. And what I tested a few weeks back the positional audio on A2 in mumble was still very very crude, would mess up frequently and overall not usable although the has been a few updates afterwards and it might be better allready..

Got'ya bud. Is that Bushlurker? :)

  4. quality over quantity indeed; make no mistake 16 v 16 players with no vehicles moving around a small town with enterable buildings + some surrounding woods is fine i think.

make it any bigger and it would be more running than anything else.

of course playing 50v50 on a much bigger map would be twice as fun, but then again 100 players is pretty much the total number of arma 2 players in all the servers at a given moment :/

It sounds nice, but I usually see much more than a 100 players on Arma 2

  5. You need to click advanced on the bottom left in settings to enable this overlay option, and be sure to tweak its position, on default some of the names (top 2 or 3) will be obscured by your weapon ammo info, You need to move the slider fully to the right and drop it a little, set it to grow down and grow left.

Mumble is just miles ahead of the rest

Spot on, thanks for that it's worked. Bear in mind if anyone else wants to do this make sure you also goto the 'Plugins' tab and check the top box there that say's "Link to games and transmit positions"
