Remove those paramters, leave it blank, ofcourse you might want to keep the parameter -nosplash though ;-)

I'm glad your saying this, we need to keep bringing it up to remove the old -maxmem=2047 tag also! I think some people will still have these commands set, and they wonder why they have not seen an improvement! I'm seeing a big leap of performance, the only command I have on startup is -nosplash

The update hasn't been released on steam, but you can patch your 1.05 copy or 1.0 copy using the same method everyone else does, download either the incremental patch (1.05-1.07) or full patch (1.0-1.07) and install! Edit, the performance increase here seems to be substanstial! I've had not one stutter, textures are loading up instantly so I don't even notice the old LOD loading/flickering like I used to. Certainely improves sniping. I'm impressed with this patch!

Ahh I see, does it look better with the updated weapon recoil then in the beta?

For steam, 1.05 wasn't released (even though it was supposed to be) But you can just update your steam version with the normal patch methods anyway. You don't have to count on steam :p As for the "weapon recoil fix" I'm curious to hear exactly what they are referring to also!

I've noticed a performance increase! Also I usually pick up on slow loading LOD's, but haven't noticed any yet, but I will have to play more. Overall though I'm impressed with the new patch so far :)

Well I've just installed the patch and have removed the -cpucount and -maxmem commands! Going to fire it up ;-)

Was surprised by this, I never jumped on the beta patches because I thought I'd wait for a patch! Nice to see more RAM usage and what not :) Alot of good fixes/improvements here! And the horn too! Haha! BI brings the storm!

I lol'd! Nothing wrong with sparing bunnies - anyway think about it, in a tough, battle hungry war, it's nice to save the rabbits and other animals to eat later no? A2's AI is going economical!

Thanks for your reply Zipper5, I backed up my 1.00 and tried the 1.01 to see if I could continue my progress, but unfortunately I couldn't do so. So I'm going to complete the rest of the campaign anyway, as I've had not a single hitch as it is! Then I'll update it to 1.01 or a newer update if it's available! South of the crossroads, seems to be the most difficult mission so far for me :) Cheers

Currently on the Mission named 'South of the Crossroads' I think. Loving this mini campaign though, great work man! Got to ask though, I notied you just released an update, but if I update the campaign I will lose my saved data on it right? Like my progress in the campaign and what not?

I'm definately going to have to come and try and hop on your server this sunday night. I'm from the UK too, so the times are perfect for me. Hopefully see some of you playing there tomorrow. Nice work on Zeus AI by the way, good job :)

You sounded like you disagreed with me, and then said "Difficulty can govern AI skill and accuracy", which is clearly what I was reffering to. I know it affects the UI stuff too.

As far as the difficulties go in ArmA 2, as others have said, Expert is a larger than life setting. I'd say Veteran is as if you were going against obviously, well trained veteran soldiers and what not. From my experience and perception of how they would be, this is correct. It's good to not have things too easy like other games!

I tried this and mine crashed the first time and worked the second as others have said, but the main problem is that for me, it was just too laggy, I believe that it could be my Logitech camera itself that is at fault, but the response was far too slow. I know you can change sensitivity and what not, I tried a few different settings but still unresponsive, it would just prove to be more difficult. I'll stick with the Alt to free look method for now, but it's a cool piece of software for sure. Like I said I do believe it could be my cam at fault. I do want a track IR though.
