    SLX Mod WIP

    Got a problem of units freezing when I take them out, a lot of enemys standing still with their gun pointing to the sky when they are dead. Other than that really nice addon, good to see a couple animations speeded up to be more realistic.

    Indeed, when you talk so SF personell you will discover these are some pretty down to earth guys. They make mistakes, be a little too careless sometimes just like everybody and they don't lie about it. What makes them thought is their survival skills and endurance, not their ability to kill goatherders. They are doing some amazing stuff which involves a lot more than breaking and killing stuff, they train foreign personell and are able to arrest a lot of bad guys alive and with the proof to give them a fair trail. Maybe killing everyone who might give away your position is SOP but don't forget SOPs are written by pencil pushers. Killing children who stumbled onto your position is never "standard". To go back OT: Would be nice to have some didicated SEAL models with special weapons and ability to keep their gear when swimming in ACE, maybe even with the help of a Tactical Flotation Support System(TFSS) to use as a ruck.

  5. playing manhattan through the editor is a lot smoother but sometimes I dont get the support :S really irritating to cover that much ground without the Venom

  8. Jeez Nixo, your units are exellent as always! Impressed by the helmets. Nice camo pattern, will they stay on with NVGs? Good luck with the development :bounce3: ---- Btw, just out of intrest, I never see units with a hydration carrier on the back, is there a reason why it isn't done?

    What classnames are the Mk43 and M60 with eotech? getting:no enty 'bin\config.bin/Cfgweapons.RH_m60e4eotech' while runnig a script saying (or did I just mess it up?)
  11. i think the secops module works more like a kind of HQ in the campaign, it redirects you to the crashed MI8. the MI8 is already ingame and shot down by a chedaki AA-specialist on the hill behind the airfield, thats why the crash site is random. the chopper not spawned like normal "secops" with the secops module. Chances are, the chopper never got shot down in your game. it only happend to me once in all times I played manhattan anyway. It gives you support too(when you press 0-8-"support requests") for missions and as reward.

    A little bug report, Sometimes I lose contact with aircraft, when they supposed to go from "idle" to "stationed", they never show up in "stationed". Dont know if its a low performance issue, it happends more often in Chernarus than less demanding maps. Thank you!

    Yeah, and maybe the option to carry a weapon on the back like in ACE. Calling it a SOCOM addon is a big plus, will take the stigma off.
  14. Nice! Was making some Sovjet-takistani war missions myself nowhere close to what you guys are showing! Can't wait to see the 40th army in action, it will me magistal ;)

    A propper BIS made support module would be nice, like SAM support and RUM assets but with more options and some CCT missions to go along with. And as said before, shooting from non-gunner positions and maybe flawless fastroping...
  16. You'll need a script telling them to pull the ripcord(I think), the ACE parachutes have a delay maybe that the problem. I use to press [ ` 6 1 ] "all->actions->pullripcord"

    Tier 1-DLC

    I know its a lot more cooler to deny liking this and make smart comments about it regarding age.... But yes! It would be nice to have some new models, a MH-47E and some nice missions for the price of 1 movie ticket. Tier 1 or just a dedicated SF DLC. (60% of user made missions are SF related anyway.) Those Tier 1 guys did some amazing things in OEF and they still do. Honoring that by telling their stories in the most serious wargame/sim isn't something I can oppose to.
  18. I hope this will work out! would be so nice, I tried having an escort copper but making it succesfull takes a lot of waypoints since grouping them will make them climb and decent al the time. On the other hand, with a lot of waypoints around the copper won't land.. there is a script making it possible to click and fastrope and a the medivac module/script where requesting extracting requires popping smoke, it should be possible. Succes with your search!
  19. Thats just too bad, I learned a lot about mission making by looking at "squad commander" in Arma 2. I would like it when BIS would release some templates or editor missions just to teach you how to do stuff or show off what they can do with this game. (they just keep on amazing me!) Would be so nice to get some visual affects templates.

    Ah, I understand. Great idea anyway. May I suggest you doing some "desert jacket-green trousers" models or the airborne. Since takistan has many greenzones. We used to do that to break shapes when moving through the greenzones in Afgh, and the other way around just because we didnt have rainjackets in 3-color desert.:( Or maybe you could give the airborne guys the desert storm DBDU? Keep up the good work!
  21. jeez guys, just use RUM assets and put planes on station or spawn em on the edge of the map! and whenever this map gets a dirtstrip dont expect something like that could land a jet anyway! JTD just released some nice air support scripts btw, maybe that would be worth checking out. Nice map, keep up the good work Cill_xl. might release a simple mission for it...

    Good idea and a really good point to give the takistani army desert camo :) but maybe a different camo would be nice for ID, there is a lot of 3-color desert around. good luck!
