Those aren't SWAT. They're usually just detectives or patrol cops assigned to a gang task force conducting raids... -

And that is why you fail... -
I totally agree. Melding this with ArmA would make the next ArmA the king of sandbox environments.

Ron Paul is a fool, who would see America become an isolationist and weak nation again. I have no use for idiots like him who think if we bury our heads in the sand that our enemies will simply vanish. Also JFK was the one who sent advisers to Vietnam, while Eisenhower just sent foreign aid. JFK was the one who set in motion the events that lead up to America's role in the Vietnam War. I think the 56 dead and 700 maimed during the london bombings would disagree with you. This war is not just an American war, it's a European war as well. They paint you with the you with the same brush as they do us. Besides if the Taliban do come back into power after we all leave and afghanistan becomes a haven for islamic terrorists again then what has all this been worth the past few years? We're damned if we stay and we're damned if we go.
-
Which Dr. Paul do you refer to? The only one I know is my dentist and he's a sadist, lol. But seriously now, I consider JFK and MLK to be two of the greatest Americans that ever lived. By that same token JFK started a war that went undeclared and lasted for over 10 years. Now you're started to talk like a rational human being, I'm proud of you. You are correct in assuming I refer to Bush, but so to our former VP who was the brains behind Iraq. As for Afghanistan you say we went there for ecomical reasons. I want to know what mineral, resource, whatever in that God forsaken country is worth so much that we'd go to war over. It can't be oil since Iraq has more, but yet we were told that the war would pay for itself(meaning the oil.) yet the American people are picking up the bar tab on that one and instead of even lower gas prices we got higher ones. I personally believe that you've been mislead by the media in your country and should do more independent research.

Clinton had at least 2 chances to kill him(That I know of.), the same as Bush. They all went tits up. Clinton because he didn't want to risk killing a UAE prince in ghanny or killing a high level Sudanese official when they sighted him in Sudan. Bush because he relied on people who were easily bought when the CIA Jawbreaker team (Code name for the CIA SAD Team) warned them and the military about the afghans and recommended that US and UK special ops along with a Bn of the 75th Rangers secure Tora Bora, but Tommy Franks being the idiot that he is told the president that the CIA didn't know what they were talking about. And then again during Op. Anaconda because Bin Laden went straight for the NA lines and bribed their way through checkpoints. It's all in Sean Naylor's book "Not a Good Day to Die." The book mainly focuses on Op. Anaconda, but it makes reference to the fiasco at Tora Bora. For more info about the CIA Jawbreaker Team in Tora Bora you should read "Jawbreaker: The attack on bin Laden and al-Qaeda" by Gary Berntsen. Both this book and Sean Naylor's are quite good reads. It's kinda hard to fake an attack like that when thousands of people saw the plane hit the pentagon with their own eyes. And even if they could fake the attacks(which they couldn't.), they happened within minutes of each other which that in itself really makes it hard to prove the attack on the pentagon was staged. I do however believe that some of the many various government agencies knew about the attack before hand and either were slow in connecting the dots or were too busy fighting bureaucratic turf wars to do anything to stop it let alone fake an attack. They'd much rather prevent an attack rather than fake one since terrorist attacks makes them all look like idiots.

LOL!!! And you're not brainwashed?! You've been listing to way much anti-american/9/11 truther BS. No one here said that the US is the example of perfection. But you throw in our face that America wages war solely for it's own gain. America helped has saved this world from tyranny more than once in the past century.(I say that not out arrogance, but out of fact.) Iraq was a giant cluster fuck that was concocted, but a few men and sold to the world like a lemon car. Afghanistan was not a meaningless war, just handled in meaningless fashion and you're implying that we're punishing the afghan people for the actions of their former government, which is simply untrue and even if it were your country has a hand in it too.

Any updates on the M60s?

Looking real nice Darkhorse, keep up the good work.

Whether he's dead or not doesn't matter. He was just one of many we are after. There are still quite a few major players at large who mean not on the US harm, but the west and it's allies. That includes your country. Bin Laden wasn't their only source of money. They get millions in donations through mosques and charities from people who don't even realize their money is going to fund terrorist campaigns.. We are doing neither. It's comments like this that keep people from taking you seriously. That and the fact you run around wearing a tin foil hat.. HA They didn't dance to our whistle even then. These people are mercenaries and will fight for whom ever pays the highest. We had to pay millions to secure an alliance with the Northern Alliance and even then AQ doubled it and let him and his boys walk. Wow do you ever take off your tin foil hat? Civilians die in war as do soldiers. Also it wasn't the search for one man it was to root out a terrorist enclave and the people who harbor them.

Nevermind the fact that for nearly 9 years he's been admitting to it...

I believe Warfare is kinda like that. -
It wasn't a comparison, I was implying that you run around with a tin foil cap on your head. Sure they would. UAVs are not a new thing either. They've been around the 1960s as are a lot of the ordinance that has been used. The only new thing is the MRAPs which the concept isn't new either. The US military has been looking for a new all purpose light vehicle to replace the Humvee for awhile. The MRAPs themselves are actually based off the South African Casspir which has been around since the 1980s, we've just taken the concept and modernized it. There will always be a market for new weapons, war or no war. And you haven't proven that the CIA has been either. I personally wouldn't put it past the CIA to dip their wicks into the drug trafficking business, but it still hasn't been proven and probably never will. Also the BND and MAD has had a few scandals. Not on par with what you're accusing the CIA of, just spying on journalists and going on homosexual witch hunts within the Bundeswehr, but still some black marks on it's record. No intelligence agency is squeaky clean.
-
Ha ok and I bet you don't believe that Neil Armstrong really landed on the moon either? Well the reason I'm telling you to do your research is because you don't know what you're talking about. If you're trying to imply that all of the PMCs would be out of work if we hadn't gone to war you're seriously mistaken. There are always wars to be fought, corporations who need their foreign interests protected, etc. etc. PMCs are not a new thing infact next to whoring and spying being a mercenary is one the oldest professions. It's only since the 1980s that they've become more corporate like, instead of a group of veterans looking for a new war. So would you say that your government is squeaky clean now eh? My government is no more corrupt than yours and your people are no better than mine. Every country has it's bad apples, it's section of history it would rather forget, and it's own sins it's trying to wash away. You haven't shown me or anyone that the CIA has been involved in the trafficking of narcotics. That doesn't mean it isn't true, but you haven't shown any proof. The CIA has it's uses and that's why it hasn't been disbanded. Also anyone who knows anything about government knows that various agencies sometimes undermine each other for their own interests. I believe the War on Drugs is an utter failure and will continue to be because where there is a demand there always will be a supply, but the ARNG has been working with Afghan farmers to teach them to plant crops other than opium and has had some success.

The reason we went into Iraq had to do with a false connections to nukes and the 911 attacks. It had nothing to do with oil. Afghanistan happened because the taliban were harboring the leadership of AQ and because they were bad dudes in their own right. Also a number of military contracts were canceled when if we weren't at war would have bared fruit. You seriously need to do some massive amounts of research before you cast judgment on another country's foreign policy. ---------- Post added at 09:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:38 PM ---------- We aren't punishing the entire population because of AQ and the Taliban, we're just making sure Ghanny can't be used as a terrorist haven again. Besides the vast majority of the afghan population hated the taliban. We havent caught him so far because the two times we had him in our sights we relied on local warlords who were bribed and because now he's in pakistan where ISAF troops can't cross into. Maybe we should invade pakistan too eh? Your point is? I have no love for the CIA nor do many Americans..
-
Afghanistan was not for economical reasons nor was Iraq. Kuwait was however, but everyone supported us on that. I personally believe the US should get more involved in Africa, but ever since somaila we've been reluctant to commit troops to any peacekeeping operations there.

For once I agree with HyperU2. It's better to intervene and try to make a difference rather than sit on the sidelines saying "They're not hurting our people so why should we bother?"

If only the job paid more than a buck 50 it would be every slacker's dream job. :p

Have you been to Afghanistan? If not then you haven't experienced anything...

In a city where every criminal packs at least one gun on them, most likely another in the car, and more in the house, not to mention a knife or two and a cell phone, you'd be scared too. Plus just because the guy is cornered with no where to go doesn't mean jack shit. I've lost count how many times cops have been killed because they let down their guard on a cornered suspect and the suspect shot them. The cops did what they were trained to to do and that is back up your fellow officer.
-
Everybody hates cops until they get robbed, raped, shot at, etc. Then they dial 911.. I personally think anyone who says they dislike cops in general maybe has a bad habit of breaking the law. Well most cops don't think they're the shit and are very professional. Besides how would they know didn't have a gun? This guy just ran from the cops and put countless people's lives in danger if I was a cop I would have my gun drawn too because if someone is capable of what this guy did then they capable of killing a cop. So unless you were there then you nor any one else can say if they were in the right or not. I personally believe that this guy was lucky he didn't kill anyone and that he wasn't shot. Stop being a Monday morning quarterback..
-
VCrc-3-I82U Got love SC State Troopers...bunch of dumb ass good ol boys... -XoSEELhOAk This one is my favorite. This guy thought that just because he's a cop that meant he can pull over ANYBODY, including an ambulance that was transporting a patient to the hospital all because this ambulance failed to yield. Then after he becomes a villain on national TV due to his unprofessional behavior he blames his unprofessional behavior on PTSD suffered during his service with the ARNG in Iraq in an effort to save his job, gimme a break. PTSD doesn't make you have a superiority complex. Just so we're clear, I have nothing against cops. I have family members who are cops. I just can't stand cops who think they're God because they have a badge and gun.
-
I'd say the guy is lucky he just got beat up and a hefty list of criminal charges stacked on him instead of shot since the police would have been well within their legal right to shoot him dead.
