    COWarMod Release

I thought I solved it, but I am still getting on start up that 1 file can't be found "ARD.hpp" I can see the file is there in the userconfig folder, but I get an hard crash on start up. I use a separate modfolder, but I am sure I have done something wrong. Can anyone have a look and tell me what I need to change? I am not so experienced in using mods, played vanilla for 2 years.

    ACE for OA 1.13

    Nevermind (stupid question removed).
  4. Airfield sabotage Nice stealth mission where you have to infiltrate an opfor airfield to destroy an AN-2, the artillery radar and to eliminate the control tower commander. The opfor troops are aware of your arrival and will begin to partol the area around the airfield (ground and air patrol) right from the start. You will have to complete the mission without any available support, so don't forget to save the game in case you get injured. Features a dynamic decorated opfor airfield with fighter jets landing and taking off, patrolling choppers, static defence/strongpoints and patrolling ground troops and armor. Hint: Re-arm at the insertion point and make sure that you have at least 2 satchels (check your backpack) with you. Stay stealthy as long as possible, the whole airfield will be alerted when you are detected. You have around 5 minutes to get as close as possible to the airfield before the chopper patrol starts (where you probably have to go prone a lot). Good luck! 5. Call to Glory - Reloaded Map: Takistan Coop 6 & SP I finally had some time to create a sequel to the original Call to Glory mission! The original mission was a very heavy mission with custom sounds etcetera which causes loading issues for some players. I have now created a new version from scratch without all the things that made it so heavy to run and made it more fun and challenging. The mission: Your team is being send out to locate and clear all militia controlled villages within the AO. In total there are 18 villages that you will need to sweep, but only 8 of them are occupied by militia forces. All villages have to be approached carefully as you do not know which village is friendly or not. Besides the main objective the mission contains some surprises and twists that will make things more challenging and interesting (not spoiling it). The militia villages are of mixed difficulty. You may encounter villages with just some men with AK's, but some villages also has static defenses and cars. The militia will be patrolling the streets, standing on the lookout on rooftops and they will occupy the houses and use them for cover. The mission does not contain storyline dialogs (besides a few essential moments), just 100% gameplay. Features: - wound healing (x3) - instant respawn (60secs) - garbage collecting - radio support (team leader) - civil traffic - rearm points - parajump (@ insertion point) for the late joiners - BIS environment effects - surprises - auto save in SP mode Tips: To get a green light in a friendly village you only need to be in the village center. You will then receive the location of the next village. To get a green light in a militia controlled village you will have to eliminate all the militia within the village. If you have trouble finding the last militia men then check inside the buildings and the border of the village (200 meter radius max) SP mode can be played as MP (so your AI team will respawn) Update V1.1: Notice: the pbo file name is missinng ".takistan" at the end. You need to add that to the name otherwise it will not show up in the mission list. - Fixed gear saving at ammo boxes - Added delay to garbage collecting (deleting dead bodies) - Fixed radio support for team leader - Added all support vehicles (press 5,1) with dynamic map markers (may take some time to arrive except med-evac chopper) - Reduced size of the Pbo (only 450Kb now) - Reworked 2 militia villages - Updated rearm points - Added BAF weapons - Tweaked the 'surprises' Should be pretty smooth now :) Armaholic mirror (1.1): - Call to Glory - Reloaded Co-06 A player impression:
  6. Yeah, when you safe a mission in the editor the pbo has symbols in the name so I renamed it, but forgot to place the Island name back it. This is correct "Co06 Call to Glory Reloaded (1.1).Takistan.pbo"
  7. Feel free to edit the mission anyway you like :) You can simply move the "endgame" trigger of the last village to an earlier village so that the mission will end sooner. It does still have the same village order, but it will take you less time to finish. Personally I like missions that take 3 or 4 hours to complete. You probably stopped the mission before encountering the 'surprises', it gets more challenging half way the mission :)
  8. Glad you like it! I do hope you will use the updated version though :) The way I created the mission it is not possible to make it fully random. I (on purpose) did not used spawning AI or a patrol script. Spawning AI is really great because it makes the mission really light to run, but the AI misses precision in movement and positions then (you get Domination type AI then). The way it is now all the AI is exactly where I want them and doing exactly how I want it. It does make it predictable after a few times of playing :( Though the combat fun will remain! I will play around with the probability of presence, maybe I can make it more unpredictable that way, though it will still not be completely random.
  9. Updated the mission. It should be quite some fun now :)
  10. Thanks for giving it a go and providing feedback! Yeah when all opfor is killed in the village it automatically removes all the bodies, I will change the timer to 5 minutes delay, by that time you are already at the next village :) ---------- Post added at 12:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:17 PM ---------- Thanks for testing the mission! If you play it as SP it is best to keep your medic on the background as it is vital to keep him alive :) (let him protect your transport for example). You can also do SP in mutliplayer mode so that all your AI team mates will respawn (though you can't customize the gear then). I will have an other look at the bandages, it was supposed to work for all team members, maybe I messed that up. I noticed now too that the radio is not working properly. It's not vital though, I added 1x arti support to the radio channel, but using arti is cheating anyway lol. I will add a med-evac chopper to the game that can be called in through the normal support command, that will be handy for SP mode. I also noticed myself that gear saving at ammo boxes is not working (forgot to add something) either. For the moment in MP mode you can retake the gear from your previous dead body. I will update the mission soon!
  11. @Variable It seems that your server has mandatory addons, I always play vanilla :) I agree about the serous gameplay, though it is nice to be able to respawn if you do get killed, otherwise you have to wait it out while the rest keeps playing. This mission is definitely suited for the more realistic gameplay, I just made it also compatible for the casual gamers that like to run around like Rambo :) Maybe with the next version I will add a hardcore version with no respawn and only a few bandages, the mission will last a lot longer too if you play with a realistic strategy.
  12. Eagle's Glory Island Takistan Co06 instant respawn BAF Features: - Dynamic bluefor reinforcemets - Garbage collecting (once every objective) - Ammo respawn (respawn with full ammo) - Weapon respawn (save gear at ammo boxes) - Wound healing x30/infinite - infinite fuel for transport chopper - instant respawn (30 sec wait) - divers missions - BIS environment effects & sounds *1st objective: Intel reports that the Takistan army airfield is currently only protected by a limited amount of units. Your team is being dropped off near the airfield and your orders are to do a tactical suprise attack on the airfield. You need to eliminate the opfor troops and capture the airfield. When the airfield is captured HQ will send in reinforcement teams that will take control of the surrounding area. Meanwhile you have to sit tight, take in defensive positions. Reinforcement troops are: - BAF infantry - Apache - US armor *2nd objective: The militia forces are aware that we have captured the airfield. They are launching a massive counter attack on the airbase from the surrounding villages as we speak! You have to hang in there team till the reinforcement troops have arrived. Take cover and dig in! Good you are all still alive! We have new orders coming in, standby. *3th objective: A US outpost has just been overtaken by the Takistan army. Your team needs to head out there at once and recapture the outpost. There is a Chinook taking of from Rasman and is heading to your location. After the chinook has landed at the captured airfield your team board the chinook and fly to the outpost and land at the new insertion point. The chinook is the only transport chopper in operation so take good care of it. Great job team, the outpost is now under UK control. Return to the chinook and standby for new orders. *4th objective: Intel reports that the Imam of Bastam is the one who ordered the counter attack on the airfield. Head out to Bastam and eliminate the Imam. He is probably hiding inside the central mosque and he is definitely protected by veteran militia units. so approach the mosque carefully, you are probably up against heavy resistance. *5th objective: Thats great to hear team, the Imam got what he deserved. We know you are tired, but we just received new intel about a hidden militia hideout. From that location they are planning attack throughout whole Takistan and we want you to stop them for once and for all. The compound is located on a remote mountainside that is normally not visible from ground level, but satellite images has now revealed a few houses that are guarded by heavy armed militia troops. Get in the chinook and land at the new insertion point. Air support has already dropped of supplies at the insertion point. We recommend to rearm for a stealth approach. Make sure to search every building and every room. *6th objective: Coming soon... update All bugs from the first version are fixed, yay. 1 minor issue that remains is that after you healed yourself with a bandage from the dropdown action menu the 'bandage' text stays visible on the screen. To get rid of it simply double tap the 'backspace' button. Feedback is appriciated, if you find any issues or would like to see some changes then pls do let me know :) Tips: - At all objectives are weapon crates and medical points. - If you destroy the chinook the only other transport is civil vehicles in villages and maybe at the insertion points. Approach the insertion point with the chinook at low altitude to avoid detection. - If you have trouble searching for the last opfor at the airfield, check the hangars and control tower, there can be units in there. Armaholic download v1.2
  13. Hey cool, I will drop by then later today :) Everyone is free to edit the mission and disable the respawn, but it is very hard to finish all objectives without getting killed. My best attempt was getting killed 3 times in the mission, I did play it with an AI team and not other players, but still. The mission is not very suited (yet) for players dropping in the game at a later point though, as they will have no transport to the next objectives. Unless an other player picks the new player up with the chopper.
  14. I have already fixed the remaining bugs :) As far as I have tested it everything works great now. Besides a small text issue that stays visible after healing, but thats easy to get rid of by pressing 'backspace' on your keyboard.

    Night Missions

Just don't use the searchlights in night missions, the lighting is unrealistic and can still be seen from 10 miles away, the light goes right through mountains and buildings..
  16. Thats how I did it in this mission. I destroyed most of Zargabad during the intro (did cause some lag for a few secs), but the result is great, completely ruined (and still smoking) city. I used BQM's in and around buildings and activated with a trigger.
  17. I already deleted it. There was a service of that program running that caused instant bluescreen crashes everytime I started up my PC. Took me 4 hours to get rid of the program and all components in windows safemode.
  18. lol I have that too with an other scripting language (lsl2), took me several years to get the hang of that, with arma scripting it's starting over from scratch again. Thank god there is a helpful community :)
  19. I downloaded this software just now, but the disclaimer scared me off when I wanted to run it. Received the message that it seriously could harm my pc if I use it. How risky is this program really to use?
  20. Works perfectly, thanks very much! This will make the mission much more interesting and dynamic :)
  21. Hi guys, I tried to search for this, but could not find my answer. I am working on a mission with an objective where you have to capture an opfor base. After the base is captured to want to move stationary air and ground troops at an other location to move to the base and take in positions through a 'not present' trigger. How would I do this? This goes beyond my limited scripting skill unfortunately :) So to be clear, I have troops at an other locations with set waypoints to the opfor base, but I want the waypoints to stay passive untill the opfor troops in a trigger range are not present.
  22. Bump for a new update :) Been some time I worked on this mission or any mission for that matter, but finally felt like editing now after playing this mission again. I have added several new targets, both air/ground and moving/static targets. More diversity in target difficulty now, some targets are obstructed by trees/buildings. Also edited some minor things such as dialogs and timers etc. Everything else is still the same, still those nasty A10's stalking you and ground AA units all over the map, so you wont get bored :) What I still did not do is adding an official briefing/debriefing and tasks in the map menu. Not that it is really needed in this mission, it's all about the fun of flying and practicing your piloting skills :) Download link v1.6 is in the opening post (includes mission map for easy editing)

    Refund? Possibly?

STEAM often lies about the minimum and recommended system specs for a game. Misleading advertising to say the least. I have half a dozen Steam games that run like crap while according to Steam I should run it just fine. (OPF dragon rising is one of them unfortunately, but also Civ5 for example).

    Will you buy ARMAIII?

Thats a lame answer. Since the crisis the dollar value has done down by 34%. If you earn money in dollars like me and then have to exchange it for Euro's (as I live in a Euro zone) your basically screwed. I did not cause the crisis you know. I work hard and get 34% less for it in return these days. So don't judge me.
