  1. Sorry for the bump, but It might be helpful to post a new free converter I found on the net. Tested it out once now and it works like a charm. It is also free of malware and stuff. http://www.mirovideoconverter.com/ To convert any video to an ovg just drag the video on it and select the top convert option.

ARMA 2 Free - For Combined Ops Lite

Will ArmA3 be free too? I think its great not having to buy games anymore that I can't play on max settings and HQ textures anyway :)

    Domination for Single Player

The setup.sqf is the default Domination setup script that is in every domination version, so not a clue why it is giving problems for you. The 1.25 version has the same setup script as the 1.23 version. I'll try to upload 1.23 laters to day.

    Domination for Single Player

Heya, The side mission is a part of the original coding. That mission is know to have issues on occasion, happens on a dedicated server too. Yeah the extra action options needs you to scroll down for the 'open shute', just set the mission with parajump height to 1000 or higher. You have plenty of time to scroll down then. You can even drop a few smoke shells before you open your shute :) ---------- Post added at 11:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:16 PM ---------- Hi the mission is intended to be played in MP mode as always, otherwise the respawn wont work. Place the .pbo in your MP folder. ---------- Post added at 11:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:18 PM ---------- Yup you need to play it in MP mode. Maybe I didn't pick the title of this mission well as it leads to confusion I see. It is a MP edit to be made playable/doable as a single player in normal MP mode. So you still need it to play it as an MP mission. ---------- Post added at 11:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:22 PM ---------- Might be a cache thing, not sure. Delete the pbo's from your MPcache folder and see if that fixes it. For me it is located here: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\MPMissionsCache
  5. A custom Town I am working on, it's on the map 'Proving grounds'. Always though it was very empty leaving it very limited on what you can do with missions so I am creating a new template for it. Work in progress :) Full size Full size Full size Full size Full size Full size Full size
  6. Ahh thank you thank you, that works perfectly! I still have to learn a ton of things when it comes to scripting and what is possible, I only got a building to spawn through a marker position so far. With this I can do some nice things now :)
  7. Hi, Does anyone know if there is an addon made that adds all the ArmA2 buildings to the editor? These buildings I searched for it here on the forum and google, but so far no success. I would love to have the buildings available in the editor. I can already place them through a marker position of course, but I can not rotate the buildings then. Would be great if I can just place them on the map with the editor as an object.
  8. Thanks AVI, I searched armaholic too and didn't see this one :) Looks like a lot of the stuff is in this addon, should get me a long way. Too bad it does not contain AO buildings and objects too!

    Co05/SP - Lingor Godfather

Hey thanks for trying it out and for the feedback. Yeah the beginning I am not happy with either. I think I will make a cutscene video of the intro and then make the mission start near the boats after that. The independents are set to be hostile to everyone, but playing it vanilla they don't do all that much if you don't engage them, it's indeed much better with some active mods. It's probably cos they are set in move mode cycle. I will script it to let them go in guard mode when you are in certain radius, that should improve it. Glad you enjoyed it!

I have updated the mission and added some new stuff. The DL link is in the opening post. Update notes (v.1.25): - You now have the ability to spawn at your location a: * MASH * TOW * M119 * M2 * Small Bunker * Sandbag wall * ATV * Trench * Smoke * Ordinance box - You can now also play dance animations and chill animations (for the fun of it). To compensate for the extra firepower that you can (unlimited) use I have reduced the amount of Friendly airforce patrols.

    Domination for Single Player

Hi Koranis, Domination is purely designed for MP, I have only edited it to make it more playable/doable playing it as a single player mission. The added friendly AI mimics the friendly firepower you would normally have playing Domi with other players. I understand where you coming from, but there is no way you will be able to keep your AI men alive during all the ao's you have to capture, even when I add medics. So thats why I made the friendly AI team units disposable and made it possible to spawn new units on the go. However, some of the unit spawns can contain a medic. The spawns are random, if your lucky it contains a medic in the team :) When I work on it some more I will add a med evac system or add a mash to the action menu. If you like a more realistic approach that has kind of a Domination feel to it then check out some of my other mission such as: Call to Glory - Reloaded and Eagle's Glory

    Domination for Single Player

No I am keeping it with this OA version as this also the only version I have all the folders of. The current version already has some BAF vehicles at the base and the BIS support by default module can only spawn US units as far as I know, but I could create an addaction that spawns BAF units too on command. At the moment I am creating a new mission for the Island Lingor, after that I will work on this domi-edit some more :)

    Domination for Single Player

Hey AVI, Totally forgot to check the intit for that, so thats changed now. Teamswitch isn't possible cos it is a single unit version. The friendly team units comes from the support module. I personally don't need team switch as the friendly AI are disposable and non respawning units. When they die you just paradrop a new group at your location :)

    Domination for Single Player

@AVI, I though I quickly slap some autosave triggers on the map, but the original code overrides it. I didn't want to mess with Xeno's coding to much. ---------- Post added at 09:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 AM ---------- A few posts back is the answer :)

    Domination for Single Player

If you press '0, 8' it will open the options of the support module. You can then request paradrop units up to 10 units per spawn. ---------- Post added at 11:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:03 AM ---------- No probs :) I might make an east side version too as people seem to like this version :) With the units of a support module you can not switch, but they are fully in your control. You can change their gear etcetera as always (select unit, press 6, select gear while pointing at ammobox), order them into vehicles, heal them at a mash, and so on.

    Domination for Single Player

Yup, I have added some armor that will assist at the AO's and balanced the airforce a bit more, should be less overwhelming in the beginning now. I tried to add a save feature, but that seems to be harder then I thought. Maybe with the next update :) The new version download can be found in the opening post. ---------- Post added at 12:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:53 PM ---------- Yw MJK :)

    Domination for Single Player

Glad ya like it mate :) Yeah the airforce is a bit uncontrolled and spammy in the beginning, I am trying to make that better and more balanced now. I have some extra mods on it too and it looks quite spectacular with the attacking jets and stuff haha. I haven't addded savepoints to the mission no, thanks for the tip! I will add some auto-saves to it with a timed interval :) ---------- Post added at 07:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:55 PM ---------- If you shoot on the base at the ammo crates location there is an invisible wall that will block your bullets indeed, thats build in to Domi by default. Everywhere else you can shoot freely. ---------- Post added at 08:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ---------- Thanks! I don't use ace so not sure how that looks like. Yes I can add ground units, but it will be a more extra AI in combi with the airforce and the default opfor AI, Don't want to make it to laggy. You can of course already order your spawned AI team into the armor at the base. With the support module you can spawn up to 10 units so about 3 tanks.
  18. HI, I have tried to find the answer on the forum, but I can't find anything relevant. Whenever you have units with a guard waypoint they will react to everything on the map. Is there a way to restrict them to a certain radius? In my case I want some apaches to guard a 3km zone, but so far they attack anything on the map. I have several groups on the map and the result is that they all fly to the objective while I only want the the choppers that are closeby to react. So I am getting a spam of apache's at the objective now lol. An other thing that I can't figure out is how to give the apache unlimited ammo, is there a script out there that does this or can it be done like how you load ammo boxes and refill the ammo every few minutes? Thanks in advance :)

    Domination for Single Player

Well the thanks go to Xeno of course! I just slapped some extra stuff on it :) ---------- Post added at 04:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 PM ---------- When you play the normal MP version as SP, you wont have unlimited friendly AI that you can spawn and that is under your command. The support module makes it much more balanced + that I have added airforce units that will attack the ao's for the first few hours and take out the vehicles and D30's etcetera.. I have also added a lot of vehicles so that you have everything right at the start.. I find the default MP version no fun as SP, there is just way to much opfor for a single player to handle, takes like an hour then to clear an ao un less you arti spam.
  20. I tried some other waypoints but they remain passive then unless they are directly attacked. The AI behaves great with the guard mode, besides that they wont stay where I want them and fly 10km distance to the opfor AI.

    Domination for Single Player

Yw :) For what ever reason, it always nice to be able to play it as an SP version. I like MP too, but it can be nice to be in full control in Domi and do what you please to do without having to be on TS or in a clan. The mission still needs some tweaking. After a few hours there is not much airforce left, so I maybe add an extra spawn.

    Domination for Single Player

Ya I made it cos it gets on my nervs sometimes when 14 year olds tell me not to fly a chopper without TS (while someone on TS flying a chopper in a hot ao) and the usual team killers etcetera, so I thought F* it, I make an SP version which is just as fun:) I don't notice any lag, but my fps is always pretty low so not sure if it is noticeable on high-end PC's. Should be okay, it's not that much extra AI.
  23. Just want to say that reading through the tutorial was enough to get me totally demotivated in learning how to create a map at all. Seems like every modding/editing aspect in arma is made as hard and user unfriendly as it can be and only suited for really techy people, pro's and semi-pro's. I just want to have basic map where I can place buildings, vegetation and roads where I want to. But no, you have to not only install the tools, but create folders, unpbo files, move files in windows system folders and a ton of other stuff before you can even start learning how to create a basic map (which seems to be hard too with separate map images etc). And at the same time there are tools from other games that are so easy and intuitive to use and you can create a map with those tools in a few hours time without having togo through a zillion steps. Why is there not a default flat map with a simple tool to raise/lower/roughen terrains, slap a road on the map and buildings with drag/drop/rotate/move, importing some ground texture layers with a texture painter? Like this editor for example: Editor
  24. Well I actually put the mission together with a lot of copy/paste from previous missions, made it in 8 hours :) So the mission does not have an official intro/outro and only a few dialogs. The combat fun is huge though! Should be quite fun with a small dedicated team.
  25. I downloaded this Island a few days ago and it is really great! Thanks to the creators, it looks like a huge amount of time and effort has gone into creating it. :pc: I am creating my first mission now with this Island and I notice that the AI has trouble moving through the hills at some points, the angles seems either to steep or uneven for them to walk over. This also results in pathing problems, the AI can get stuck. I also notice it with the player character, sometimes the legs stretch (literally) while moving over bumbs. Would be great if the terrain can be smoothend out a bit in one of the future updates. Other then that, awesome Island!
