    SBS Milsim

“By Strength And Guile” INTRO The Special Boat Service Arma 3 Milsim Unit. We are a no frills organisation who work on teamwork and professionalism within our training and operations. Since its formation at the height of the Second World War, the Special Boat Service has been the elite maritime counter-terrorism unit of the Royal Navy. Made up of small, highly trained teams, they specialise in daring undercover raids that exploit the element of surprise. Most of the operations carried out by the SBS are highly classified; consequently, little is known about the individuals who make up the unit. Most of them are drawn from the Royal Marines Commandos, and all show exceptional physical and mental aptitude. In short, they’re the best of the best. Special Boat Service Roles The main roles of the Special Boat Service are: Special Reconnaissance (SR) Offensive Action (OA) Counter Terrorism (CT) Maritime Counter Terrorism (MCT) The unit has been going since early 2013. We are a small group and aim to stay that way. Our members are mostly both former and serving UK military, with operations in Afghan, Iraq and Bosnia to name a few, under our belts. but we also have some hard core Arma nuts. We are a close nit bunch, some of us served together in RL. However we are welcoming to new members and are a friendly lot. Our missions are aimed around small team tactics, and being based on the SBS we do a lot of water borne training and ops. We take on all skill levels but do require especially new people to arma to put in the time and effort to get up to a decent level. There is a selection course on joining, this is aimed more for immersion and fun, plus it gives us a chance to get to know each other. Once that is out of the way we move to specialist roles. These are : First off everyone is required to complete the Swimmer canoeist course. (Lots of fun in the water) From there you chose your preferred role Medic Marksman/Sharpshooter JTAC DEMS/Breacher Engineer Autorifleman (Minimi) We also have opportunities for members to move on to more advanced roles, such as Sniper Heavy weapons,(AT. HMG, GMG ect) Advanced Diver Members are expected to be proficient in their chosen role, and are encouraged to teach that role to others. Finally our age limit is 18 with no exceptions. Interested ? If more information is required please either Add me on here for a chat of go to our discord. 5. What the title says. And its since arma 3 went to steam. i run a UK group and am often on here looking for mods aswell as new members. People post on here looking for groups to join, most of them give a shit explanation of what they are looking for, and what they offer, they rarely give their age or timezone or a way of contacting them, So the only way is by pm. then most don't even bother replying, or give you cheek when they do. I have been part of this community for some years. Is this progression ? Do we really need steam ?? I for one don't think we do,

  9. SBSGU is a British Special Forces unit for ArmA 3 and based on the Special Boat Service. We are a Realism unit and as such focus on keeping our methods and tactics as close to realistic as we can while also keeping things a fun as possible. We operate on Mutual Respect and request those that join respect whomever is running the Mission to stay on task. Being based around British and Special Forces we have a coherent rank structure with Ranks given to those who are willing to put the effort in and make the Unit better. Rank is not a requirement to have a chance at leading a team nor does it entitle anyone to any ‘special’ treatment. With Rank comes Responsibility. Our mission and training nights are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday The basic requirements to join SBSGU; Have a valid copy of ArmA 3. Aged 18+. Have a working Microphone. Be able to attend at least one ArmA night a week. Things we do Selection We have our own dedicated selection course set up to firstly teach those that need it and then to test candidates on things like navigation and shooting, it also gets people working on their own aswell as in a team. The course is split into different phases and is run over a two week period. More on the course will be explained once an application has been accepted. Maritime As Special Boat Service this is our bread and butter and dedicate most of our time to different maritime tasks Such as: -Anti piracy -Submarine Exit and Re entry (E&RE) -Small boat tactics (using our own specially made kayaks) -Beach RECCE -water infil/exfil by hely -HALO into Water -Underwater navigation -working with submersibles Once a candidate has passed selection he then goes onto the Swimmer canoeist course HALO/HAHO This is how you earn your wings once badged a swimmer canoeist goes onto continuation training which includes HALO/HAHO Jungle training and other skill trades such as medic, dems ect. Ukcs

UKCS Task Force Reaper (TF-R) UKCS.org Task Force Reaper Is Part of United Kingdom Combat Simulations. With the War on terror taking new turns and spreading across the globe. World leaders have had to re-think their strategy . UKCS command has been instructed to form Task Force Reaper. A self sufficient Task Force which can deploy at a moments notice to any part of the world. The Task Force is made up of three elements. Task Force Reaper Special Operations Group (TFR-SOG) SOG is the Special Operations element of TFR. They carry out Special Reconnaissance, Direct Action, as well as Tier one black ops, counter insurgency. TFR-SOG falls under direct command of UKCS command, They are made up of members from UK and US special forces, Members from SOSG have to serve within SOSG for three months before they can volunteer for SOG, Although after one months service they can be attached for some ops. To be a SOG Trooper volunteers must pass a rigorous selection and training course. Once in SOG, Troopers can then do other specialist courses such as demolitions, Sniper and HALO/HAHO jumps. Life in TFR-SOG is demanding but rewarding, It is made up of the best UKCS has to offer. SOG Troopers are required to put in more time and effort than SOSG and need to be able to work alone or in small groups for long periods, sometimes without firing a single shot. Special operations Support Group (TFR-SOSG) SOSG's main role is to provide support for TFR-SOG during operations. This could include diversionary tactics, protective cordons and extra firepower. Apart from this SOSG can work indipendantly conducting its own operations. SOSG is structured the same as an infantry platoon. It is made up of members of 1 PARA and RM Commando's. To join SOSG, recruits must firat pass a Combat Infantryman's Course (CIC). This is a a demanding but fun course where recruits will learn all the basics of soldiering. Once completed members can then move onto trade/ specialist training, such as Parachute, Medic and signals courses. Special Operations Air Wing (TFR-SOAW) SOAW is the Air support element of TFR. The wing uses a variety of airframes such as the Littlebird, Merlin and Apache gunships. SOAW can also be called to support other units on operations, SOAW falls under UKCS Command and is made up of pilots and crews from all three services. SOAW is the smallest element of TFR so places could be hard to come by. Members who wish to join SOAW can do so once they have passed CIC, provided there are places available. But potential pilots must pass CIC first. Training for the Wing lasts two weeks and covers all aspects of troop movement, from largescale moves to small SF rope insertions. SOAW pilots are required to be well disciplined, as some missions may need only one short flight, but other nights pilots could be the busiest people on the battlefield. Pilots can volunteer for spells in SOSG to give them a break now and again. Do YOU have what it takes ? Xv83qDvrgYk _ The Boring stuff Our mission and training nights are Wednesdays and Saturdays, but we can be found on our ts most nights. We have our own dedicated Teamspeak 3 and Game servers. The minimum age to join is 18, no exceptions We have a basic training package. We use Taskforce Radio for proper coms. We use mods..........lots of them We have both current and former UK and US servicemen in our ranks We are a small select group, we don't take just anybody. We are looking for mature members who don't take themselves too seriously, We don't call people sir and don't hand out ribbons for quals, (ribbons are what my daughter wears in her hair) Roles Rifleman Medic Pilot Sniper/Sharpshooter If you are experienced in arma and leading squads/sections, please pm me because we are looking for section commanders. We are also looking for other groups for joint ops. So if you want to join please go to our Website , Register and fill out our short application. Or pm me here for more info. See you on the battlefield (or in the pub)
  14. Website : 3rd MSOB Who are we ? 3rd MSOB was started by a group of friends who have been gaming in arma Since the days of OFP. To add to this we have bags of RL military experience between us. Our founder members are current and former British Army and US Marines. With RL operational experience in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan, to name a few. We have our own dedicated game server and teamspeak 3. The joining and training process Joining is easy, just fill in the short application form and a recruiter will be in touch. Thats the easy bit over with. Please note, we do not teach basic military skills, so new members need to have a basic understanding of the subject as well as Arma 3, Our training is aimed at more experienced individuals who will learn more advanced skills, MARSOC Marines will learn how to work as an individul aswell as part of a small team, First off applicants are to pass our selection process, This includes Shooting tests, Navigation and E&E. Once this is completed applicants with start Marine Special Operations Individual Course (ITC). Courses are run every two months so some applicants may have to wait a while before the start of their course. Training can take around two months or more depending on each individual Age limit The lower age limit is 18, there are no exceptions to this rule Commitment We train and do official missions twice a week, We know that not everyone can make it every week, but if members miss a months worth and dont let us know, they will be removed from the group. However we in fact do stuff almost every night of the week. What types of missions do we do Our missions are based on small team missions, with a mix of Special Reconnaissance and direct action, Some missions we will never fire a shot, The amount of kills isnt the aim here, its the realism in the COOP, We do story driven campaigns where the outcome of one mission effects the next. We use Task Force Radio for comms, and we use proper VP during missions What now ? So if you are looking for for a group full of nobbers running around a map aimlessly killing everything then this isnt the place for you. However if you want a semi realism group, where you can learn and hone your skill, and have a virtual military career with mature gamers who dont take things too seriously, then fill in an application on our website If you require any further information, please PM me on these means

    InCountry

Due to a number of factors Incountry has reverted back to SF type missions/ campaigns. We are based on a MACV sog unit RT Texas. Our missions vary from small team recon patrols where w could take on a number of tasks such as finding enemy caches or rescueing downed pilots. To large scale assault along side Mike force platoons. Even HALO jumps into enemy teretory. Our campaigns are story driven and last over a number of weeks, with the outcome of one mission effecting the next, and dictating the story line. Also we like to just jump on the server and have a laugh. We use the Unsugn Vietnam war mod plus some stuff dedicated to our unit. So if your into patroling the Goonies and are fed up of single player missions why not give us a try. http://incountry.gaz2644.com Update We have just begun our current campaign on the Csj SEA map. There is a patrol diary on the website which is updated after every mission in the campaign. Village patrol 1 patrol diary Ssgt Gaz Rt Texas 1-0 Day 1 S Myself, my newly appointed 1-1 Sgt Stu and 12 CIDG Yards started out on our first mission. A routine patrol of the local village Mai Lahn, about half a click East of Combat base Tango. The Ville is the first one that we recruited Yards from and is where we relocate families that we recruit from far off Villages. The Patrol started at 0730hrs. My squad lead the way followed by Stu's. The patrol wa quite slow going but quite unaventfull. We arrived in the Village at 1200hrs. First we carried out a parimeter patrol befor setting up a parimeter around the ville and going in to talk to the locals. WE had intel a few days ago that the local VC had visited the honcho and forced him to give them information about our operations and movements. So we had to question him and search the ville. New RT Texas 1-1 Sgt Stu in Mai Lahn Whilst searching the Honcho's hut we found papers with grid references on. The documents were instructions for the villagers to go to another Village where there are weapons stored, and move tham to Mai Lahn. For the VC to use to attack the Base. I passed the information up to the Capt and the mission now is to set up an OP overlooking Mai Lahn for the next 24 hrs to see if the VC return. If they do we are to gather as much information as we can about them. So now we wait. TBC.................................................
