  1. I know I shouldn't neglect it, the HHD will only be temporary until I can find a way to get a better one.
  2. What graphics card would you recommend to go with that bundle?
  3. Hi guys, Back again but a guy helped me to assemble good components and bundles. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-023-OB - is the mobo, cpu, ram and fan bundle. I will use a ATi HD 5770 as my gpu. What type of settings could I see in Arma 2 and what type of settings could I see that pc handling at 1920x1200 resolution? Ignore my HDD at the moment as it is a cheap one to fit my budget. Thanks again guys, you have been very helpful.
  4. My laptop specs are; Intel Dual Core P8400 @ 2.26Ghz nVidia 9600M GT 4 Gbs of RAM So basically lacking what I need to play Arma 2. Considering I get 5 fps when on all low at 800 x 600. The only thing I have a problem with is my old Desktop can make Arma 2 playable with a P4 @ 3Ghz Not sure how much RAM, nothing spectacular and an older graphics card. So, what's up. Can I improve or do I have to buy a desktop. I'm 14 as some of you may have already read so it there a cheaper recommendation or way to make money fast? Thanks. P.S Does anyone know of any guides that can show you how to build a pc that will run arma 2 on full for a 1000 euro/pounds/dollars (whatever, its all the same these days) at a decent resolution.
  5. lol, I know i know. Very good for what I have been using it for. But anyway, anyone help with my original post?
  6. Hi there, I wasn't sure where to post this btw. I have a very good gaming laptop but it still can't run Arma 2. I realize I should buy a desktop it's just I am 14 and therefore don't have an income. My Dad has no interest in gaming at all..he can't even see the point. I managed to play the demo of Arma 2 (on like 15 fps) and I really liked it. I also do enjoy gaming but lack the moola. I was just wondering if there are any websites or ways that I can earn a decent amount of cash. I have worked my ass of since I'm on summer hols but I have learnt that really doesn't pay off when it comes to gaming lol... Anyway, any help or advice would be superb. Thanks, Silver
  7. Whats bottlenecking? Sry, i'm a n00b at pc's wen it comes to how they work. Also, what in my gpu would cause this?
  8. Hi there, I was just wondering can I run Arma II on my laptop. System Requirements Lab says I can JUST run it, because my CPU is 260Mhz faster then the minimal. I got the demo and it did NOT run well at all. Constant lag etc. My laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN AW11S/B My specs are : Intel Dual Core 2.26 Ghz Processor Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Installed Memory 4 GB (DDR2 SDRAM) Chipset Intel PM45 Express Bus Speed 1066 MHz 1950 x 1080 Res (I think, may have made a mistake on the 8 and 5) Memory Installed RAM 4 GB RAM Technology DDR2 SDRAM Max Supported RAM 4 GB RAM Speed 800 MHz Installed Cache Memory 3072 KB Video Graphic Processor NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Installed Video Memory 512 MB Will I be able to run Arma II and if so...how well? Also, is it worth about 400 dollars upgrading to a 3 Ghz Dual Core?
