A veteran you say, of a less than two year old game you say? Ok first let us know your gaming background before Battlefield 3. As most know BF3 is known as a realistic FPS, it's core gameplay IS Run & Gun. ArmA is more run/drive over 1km, fly over 10km. Recon a target. Call an air strike/artillery strike. Lase a high value target. Sneak up to the target. Infiltrate a village. Clear a compound. Capture a HVT. Rain down fire from a 30mm cannon with depleted uranium rounds. Use a unmanned littlebird to lase a target for a Apache Gunship waiting 3km away ready to fire off a hellfire. Or just plain old get spotted, get killed. Convinced? Welcome to ArmA.

There are hundreds up, maybe check your firewall settings? Could be that your not updated but I can't see that being the case.

I wouldn't call it a dive since the feet hit the ground first then the rest of the body, plus iirc it's in A2 aswell, and is used as a means of getting into prone from a mobile point. I wouldn't call it a dive at all. Combat roll has also been see in A2, in some missions you could press T and the player model would execute a forward roll, without the ability of quickly firing after it though, which is the intent of most CR's.

That's the oxygen mask pilots use for high altitude breathing (continuous flow, diluter demand, and pressure demand), it offers no armor rating what so ever. Facial systems aren't implemented in the game as of right now [0.54A] they may be added in the future but it's never been shown or in any literature so far, there is how ever armor rating for helmets already implemented. -
Please no, going to prone is all you need to escape incoming fire behind low cover. This isn't your typical action savvy game.

The 60 minutes twitter account was hacked recently and loads of stuff tweeted, one of which was a picture titled "hey bro, where'd you backpack go", the account was suspended within seconds of me sending a link to a friend. But you can find the jist of it here (click the pic at the top).

There is no death penalty in Boston, but I'm positive some sort of presidential decree will over-rule that.

Squad.xml already does this in-game, maybe not for arm patches yet, but definately on helicopters and some vehicles. No to a customiser in-game, that would only limit what you could have. (This isn't call of doooooty tag customiser)

Not sure top centre would be a good idea, since I and many others use shacktac hud which is centre bottom, having different GUI's all over the screen would get cluttered and crazy looking :D

I seen some gamescom footage of last year with Ivan showing some of the showcases I believe I saw the name Cpl. Kerry pop up at the start of one of them, so I believe you in any case. I didn't read any of what your describing in artemas' post. He's written a reasonable and valid point, oh and I fixed your mistake in the above quote.

Suggestion...limpet mines and ability to place them while in water

+! needs to be done, and the ability to set explosive charges on surfaces other than the ground... I mean come on those types of charges are meant for breaching, so we should be able to use them on doors at the bare minimum. -
Xeno designed a nice one that comes with his domination, it doesn't incorporate into the crosshair (rather to the side of weapon info) but it also adds speed warnings via colour, as seen in the top right of this picture.

Mind if I ask what you or rather Bourrechs, did? As I've tried fixing it myself thinking it was one particular rifle, and as documentation for changed classnames is non existent as always (in changelog) I'm finding it harder to fix. :)

Yeah any update on this? Some weapon classnames have been broken since last stable patch.
