Ok, so third person, command view, first/third person flying, first/third person driving, paradropping is all FPS. It's obvious what type of a person you are, so it's pointless even debating with you.
-
This is the most retarded and untrue statement I've ever read on these forums. Wiki First-person shooter (FPS) is a video game genre centered on gun and projectile weapon-based combat through a first-person perspective; that is, the player experiences the action through the eyes of the protagonist. I shouldn't even have to paste the above as everyone knows what an FPS is, yet it seems you need educated in what the genre is.

No need to be sorry, most people can understand what a picture/list means, others have built in translators with browsers they use. ____ Since the PS4 uses pc hardware (basically a pc, hence no backward compatability with ps3 games) then it is quite possible some of the BIS titles will indeed be on it, CC & DayZ more then likely. Bit OT but yeah...
-
Greed (money) is the route of all evil. We all know that the reason ArmA 3 is going steam exclusive is because all the zombies who bought ArmA II for DayZ purchased it through steam and not hard copy. No brainer, case closed.
-
They mentioned in the report about VAC and being with steam will be able to stop things like piracy. _____ As long as achievements don't unlock weapons or weapon skins, and sticks to singleplayer I'm fine with it. (Not to mention VAC is confirmed with DayZ with a recent dev interview on youtube).
-
Anything you say will always be biased ;) If achievements are to be added it should be for single player only, that way the people who like to hunt the achievements will not ruin the gameplay for others. As someone else said regarding a L4D2 gnome achievement. ____ So will BIS be dropping BattlEye now?

Things you wish NOT to have in the game!

Maybe not, but it's as close as it can get. Way ahead of the vanilla shite we have as of now. Armed Assault seemed to have it though as seen here. -

You mean like ACE did it? -
Die hard ArmA fan, and Steam user. Don't wish either to be combined exclusively, voted No. ArmA 2 will live on.
-
If you can't download it from Armaholic then it's something wrong at your end.
-
I understand why they want this, but Steam will not stop people pirating your game.

As far as I'm concerned this will kill off most of the great members of our community, the ones that have kept this game a float. We can all agree if it wasn't for mods the game would of died ages ago. And I cannot see how this can speed up the release of ArmA 3, it's still going to take the same amount of time to develop 1.0 and the same amount of time to create patches and upload them. The only real advantage is not having to burn all those discs and distribute. We've waited this long BIS I'm sure we can wait a little longer if it means not including steam. I am a Steam User, I have apparently 177 games on there since April 2010. But I do not feel it is a good thing for ArmA as a whole. And Steam Workshop won't streamline acquiring mods and joining servers any easier, it's a mess in itself. Try looking for a mod for Skyrim on there, it's a task that takes more time then it's worth. I feel slightly sorry for all the community sites out there that made big plans for this ArmA 3 switch-over aswell, they will lose a lot of traffic if this goes through (Way to support the community). And to all those saying people who don't want steam are living in the dark ages, does us all a favour and sit on your head for a few hours. Telling it how it is. <3

Import my FURRY slick model for one replacement (Compensation) A2OA

You serious? -
Sounds interdasting, I'll pick it up eventually, I'll wait a month or so till it's fully patched. Is there any news on a SDK being released? or is Sega another company who say the pc modding community no longer exists.

I'm yet to see anything futuristic in any ArmA 3 video, the only thing that is futuristic is the date, in terms of ballistics etc we have all of what has be shown already in today's advancements. I can't wait to use the Bouncin' Betty's. _____ Downloading Update 3 fixed the issue, thanks LJ.
-
Ok, I'll download update 3 and see where we go, I deleted the distance_c.pbo as it was the reason the game wouldn't start, after removal it worked fine, as did the sounds/distance sounds. I'm pretty sure it was, also it seems it is a fix with update 3 aswell.

I still have 1.0 Drop me a PM. Or you could go about deleting the dependency in the mission.sqm. -
Well I think I pretty much answered my own question, as I deleted CWR2 a while back (and sparsely play arma these days) and booted up JSRS with a file dependent on CWR2 it obviously wouldn't start the game up. My fix: Delete the files jsrs_distance_c.pbo and jsrs_distance_c.bisign, this may not be the correct way, but it enabled me to start up the game with JSRS. If any of the team would like to weigh in, making us aware if this is right or wrong, then that would be beneficial to the both of us and countless others I guess.
-
Anyone had this error yet? I deleted the above files, as I'm guessing this error showed up as I removed cwr2 a couple of weeks ago, question is will this remove the distance script ofr ACR aswell>?
-
Yeah the quick fix they released yesterday completely broke my game, in the sense everyone was rubber-banding. Sometimes in huge battles enemies would ghost through buildings, even protected area's of course they were not there, the net code seems screwed up atm.

Crack-Smoking "Analyst" Claims PS4 Will Deliver 240 FPS
viper[cww] replied to kualus's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Well that's 210 frames that are pretty much useless, unless we create LSD monitors.
