    Its ok, we have no need to prove ourselves, we know our skill level, what we are working on and what needs to be done etc. We don't have a video on this unfortunatley, as you can see its still being worked on, more scripting to do etc ... so I won't be rushing to get a video at the moment either, its too early. Its more important to let it be worked on for the moment, rather than feeling a need to prove ourselves and our work, and hence it initially was just a few lines in the newspost. In time of course, like everything we will have more media on this, however right now I need the Developers concentrating on the workload they have to achieve what is required. If you read post 1 it will tell you the answer pal, but for the initial release it will be a Minimal British Faction v Taliban. .

    This is where our own Map will come into play, and with clever mission design, will start to ensure teamwork happens to be able to succeed in Missions, by creating an environment whereby teams simply have to work together, with assets, to ensure a team plan actually works. Its all these small things / areas that combine together to naturally bring in PR Gameplay, and something that is very subtle. .

    - Main Menu The main goal of Project Reality is to deliver the best gaming experience possible. We realise your experience is not just about the gameplay itself; it starts before that. That's why you can look forward to a brand new main menu, designed to fit the Project Reality theme and to look modern, and of course to be as easy and pleasant to use. With that in mind, here's what we have so far. - PR Sounds The next vehicle to get the PR Team's sound overhaul is the mighty Challenger 2. The video speaks 'volumes', and shows how this beast sounds ingame: -8NlQiZ-MbA ---------- Post added at 07:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 AM ---------- - Other Ongoing work Of course there are a lot of other things going on, including: Wardak Map - Work continues on our Wardak map as always, and we now have an environmental designer on the team who has produced some great work already. In total, we now have 3 developers working on the map. This will also assist in the PR Objects Pack we are putting together. UK C130 Hercules - We're currently working on a retexture, ready to resupply the British Forces. Bandages - Will be applied to soldiers when they are healed, giving a visual representation that they are injured and have been attended to. Remote Video Camera's / CCTV - Something we are looking into a little further now will be the ability to place remote cameras and have live video feeds. These will come in 3 versions and at present this is a proof of concept. We are also looking at a version being available for the Taliban, to counter the sheer power of the British Faction. More to follow on this in future updates as we develop this further. Bridgelayer - This is probably around 50% complete, and will become a fully player controlled deployable and working bridgelayer. Again very WIP at present, and still a proof of concept at this stage. Caves and Tunnel Systems - These will be used by the Taliban on some of our maps in the future, especially for the Counter Insurgencey mode. Tunnels and caves will not make the first release, but they are being worked on and will prove invaluable in the future. British Panther - We have now imported our Panther into the ArmA2 engine, and need to code a few more areas so its ready to go. So far so good and we expect it to be released for testing soon. - Project Reality - Social Networking Project Reality takes great pride in keeping in touch with our large community, so whether you are on the move, have limited PC access or just want to find out that little bit more then feel free to join us on our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter. - Become a PR Developer or Contributor The Project Reality Team are still recruiting talent, even more so than ever ! Whatever your skill, let us know. We are always recruiting. Our main area at present is for Importers to assist in the backlog of PR Models we need to bring into the game. So thats it for now. We still have a lot of work to do, and a lot of this is coding. In our next update we hope to be able to provide a detailed changelog of what you can expect in PR:ArmA2 V0.1, as a lot of things in the updates will clearly not make the initial release.     - British Army Base Soldier One of our main problems recently, but we are now starting to get there. The initial model we had was causing the test server to lag badly, and had some serious LOD and Topology issues. We therefore took the decision to work on the Sample ArmA MLOD, and start from scratch. A new helmet, daysacks, body armour and webbing have been modeled, and we are also working on different uniform variants to add realistic differences to the soldiers. This decision has set us back a bit, but it is something we have to get right. We still have variants of this model to create, however the end result will be worthwhile. We'll be providing some media in due course.

    - British Jackal MWMIK The SupaCat Jackal 2 is now finished, and like the Panther, is at the import stage. The Jackal will be a regular on the PR battlefield and will no doubt prove its worth for the British. We even have a woodland version should we require it in the future.

    Welcome to the first edition of the PR: ArmA2 Highlights Reel for 2011! The last few months within PR:ArmA2 have been a little slow going in terms of having something physical to show the community. For one, we have stumbled upon a few problems, and have also started shifting the team's efforts towards the intricate coding and gameplay work. The updates may have slowed down, but you can be assured the work has not! - British Mastiff 2 The PR Mastiff has had some work done over the last month and is now very close to importing into Project Reality. It's still to be decided what the initial load out will be, but either way it will be a great sight on the battlefield, and a realistic addition for the British Faction.

    Indeed, and I have edited my post to reflect it, as its quite easy to read it how you did ....lol It will not just be application only servers, we are looking at various electronic checks to "handshake" with players etc, etc. .

    We are looking to bring a PR "Style" of gameplay, its hard to define if its BF2 or ArmA2, as actually its none .... or a blend of both, too hard to say really, its not that black & white. Servers will have something in place yes, and this is being developed, and has been looked at by the BI Staff, something we both seem happy with, and to ensure they understand our reasons and hopefully to further develop ArmA2 PvP Play. .

CR2 Scimitar Warrior MAN Truck Merlin Landrover WMIK Jackal Mastiff Apache Harrier - TBC Panther Other PR assets British Soldier Model with Variants Weapons - British Army Environment Objects - Destructable New Maps / Islands Lots of other small models, like shovels, Portacabins etc, etc Other stuff that is still in the early stages. Further to the quote, our Mod is not aimed 100% around new goodies, its aimed at the style of Gameplay on the ArmA2 Platform, all the above is an added bonus to bring in the British Army as a faction, which is clearly stated in our initial post on these forums.     I would just like to thank all the ArmA2 Community that took an interest and voted for us, also to the ArmA2 team, the PR Community and to the core PR Devs, and together as one team we have managed to pull of another great moment in PR's History. PR:ArmA2 is now the most anticipated Mod, and is the 2010 Players Choice, Winner for the Upcoming Mod Section. I am very, very happy with this result, as to me it shows the PR & ArmA community can work/play together.     We are hoping Q1 2011. If we run into Q2, it means we have had even more issues, however I do not see that happening. I am hoping come the end of Jan / begining of Feb we can start the final testing on a stable v0.1 build. .

    Although I do not think Project Reality is "pompous" for stating we have won an award I'll get this Back on topic, I am working on an Update as we speak, so it should be ready in no more than a week. For those that think we do not produce enough updates, I have to say ..... your a hard crowd to please ... lol - I think we have provided a lot of information already :eek: If you look at post one, I would say that was a decent update, for our last one ? Also on another note of you have any specific Questions, and really want an answer please post them in our PR Forums, its a little easier to read there as we have a dedicated ArmA2 Sub Forum, you can probably get / find the answer there, and the Full DEV Team read them too. http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f439-pr-arma2-mod-forums Its just too hard to sift through one thread with the amount of posts to find these questions, when a lot of them have to be asked to the actual developer anyway.     wow, a lot of response here :( PR have been the only Mod team, from the ArmA side to actually enter, hence its the only one in there. Any Mod Team can enter the competition, it just so happens we seem to be the only ones that have this year. If you want to vote, please do, if you do not then dont . With PR: BF2, we won the Best Released Mod catagory 2 years ago, and the Prize we won, was a Team Licence for the C4 Engine, along with about $10,000 worth of software and ebooks etc etc. This is what we worked hard for and because of that we have now started work on PR2, which will be our own commercial / independent game: Like I said, vote or don't vote guys, its your call - but please do not knock us down for entering :confused: MOD DB, is an age old site thats been running for years, its very well known by Mod Teams across the globe and it has the upcoming mods section, so if you don't agree with voting for a mod that has not yet been released - then take your points to them, as its MOD DB who run it, and have done for years, very succesfully too.

    Initial Release is indeed UK Only, however we do intend to start a Community Programme for small Mod teams to work with us to incorporate their Factions. We also have a few other factions to implement ourselves in the future. Please, if you have not yet vote for PR: ArmA2 in MOTY ..... it is the only ArmA2 entry this year, so lets get the ArmA2 engine somewhere respectable out of this please. Feel free to add to your sig:

    lol, exactly why we are in the unreleased catagory, hope you vote now ? ;) The unreleased catagory is for the concept, and the media and work done so far - bear in mind some Mods are 12 months or more in Development, so have a lot to show of, even thought its not released. .
