    We would like to formally announce, that the reality studios acquisition notice is indeed False and was part of our traditional April Fools. I would like to assure you that we have not stopped work on any of our Projects whatsoever, and we have NO ties to BF3 / EA or DICE in the slightest. PR: BF2 continues in vain like all the rest of our work. PR: ArmA2 has not been cancelled, if anything the work flow has recently increased with some new additions to the team, and an update to follow very soon. ACE do not have any of our work, they have played along with this too - big Thank you goes out to sickboy from ACE ;-) For the ArmA2 community, who may be new to this tradition I apologise that it leaked over here (I kind of knew it would though...lol). It caused well over 200 posts within 24 Hours - so it had some effect.     Who ever told you we had stopped work for 6 months - has mis-informed you, there has been quite a bit done over the last 6 months. However things have been slow I will be perfectly honest. Due to that we held a meeting, which I posted about earlier. Lots of Models are done or are 95% complete, and are sat waiting to be imported across. As for the BF2 stuff, there is very very little of this stuff now moving across. In the bigger picture - realitystudios as a whole now have a new working ethos for all models, which will allow cross platform working. Our current weakness in PR: ArmA2 is the fact we only really have one importer/configger - and if he is away, or needs RL time, then we can not do anything. We have plenty of other great Devs, but sadly not the important "behind the scenes" workers.

    Project Reality - Strategy Meeting - 20/03/2011. Last night the PR team held an epic 3 1/2 hour meeting to discuss a lot of things within the team, and take a good look at our Release Plan. One thing that came to light was that at present our weakest area - and the main problem holding us back is the import/config process. Mainly working with the model.cfg. We now have a backlog of work in this area, and its not moving as we would like. If there are any Community members out there who would like to assist in this area and be a part of the Project Reality team, please, please feel free to get in touch with me. Likewise if you know of anyone out there that may be interested, point them this way. We have a great team, great gameplay, great models etc, but a lack of skilled importers to make the magic happen. In the meantime, and due to the above - we have reassessed what we believe to be a priority list of assets to release in v0.1, and once we have confirmed this - I will ensure an update is sent out ....... we do intend to release however in the next 2 months or so.     Welcome to the first official Reality Studios Podcast! Due to the huge thirst for information revolving around PR: ArmA2, we decided to create a Podcast for the Community. The whole community was asked over a 2 week period to ask any questions they wanted answering in relation to PR: ArmA2. The team then sat down to answer all these questions about the highly anticipated upcoming PR: ArmA2 modification release for the retail ArmA II PC game.     Thats really strange because these sounds are unique and real, and have been implemented by a professional sound artist we have on the team. We have not gone down the route of "overloading" these sounds for the game to make them sound "uber, awesome, etc, etc". We have spent months reconfigging a lot of our sounds from scratch to bring them back down to a realistic sound, listening to some of the ArmA2 sounds out there, with our team of Military Advisors who use these weapons, we have noticed that a lot have been "overdone", to an extent that they actually do not sound like the real thing anymore. Although to a general gamer they may have become used to the sound addon they use/prefer, and think that is a realistic sound - which is fine if it suits them. ps. Chammy is a PR Contributor for BF2.

    I totally understand what you are saying, and am not taking it the wrong way of course, but we are creating this because that is our goal, and what we as a team want to do, no matter how long it takes. Its not as though we are on a timescale anyway. Like we have always said, this will be our "core" and so this will take time. We never wanted to just throw out some gameplay and then add to it later.

    Recruitment Project Reality are looking for the following additions to our team, so that we can push towards our release a little quicker: 1. Character Modeller / Texture Artists (Needs to be proficient with this area) 2. Aircraft Modeler 3. TS3 Developer (able to work with the SDK, and create what we require in TS3) 4. FX Configs (Our current one seems to have gone long time AFK on the whole of the internet ??) Point 1 is our Priority at the moment.     We are not planning on using any AI at all for the forseeable future. As for Player Count, hard to say at present, we still need to go into full beta testing yet, thats when we will have an idea. .

    Indeed JdB but there is no reason to assume it was directed soley at you. I am not only referring to your post, it has in fact been mentioned a lot of times on here recently, so my post was to summarise the posts that have indeed "speculated" that we will be hiding BIS Assets, your post just happened to touch on that whole thought process once more. .

    I can not believe we are going down this route again :( Everything that has been said so far here is pure "speculation" ........ I have not mentioned anything like some of the things that have been said in here, and I will not start quoting any of them either. I am also refraining from commenting and giving an answer yet as we have not created the final build, which is kinda the point. Feel free to make your own minds up about PR, however until we actually have - you are all "speculating", and there are no final decisions yet. Whatever decision we make, will be our decision and in the interests of realitystudios, and the Multiplayer Community. Cheers
