yep, i think you right, with screenshots alone its hard to play. i think it was a good decision to make that first release, even if there are bugs or some stuff don´t has the quality it will have some day, but we have something to play around with and keep us busy. i also think that a free mod don´t need to be perfect in all aspects, on the other hand i can understand that a addonmaker want his stuff to be as good as he is capable of doing it and that take alot of work. but i prefer a not so perfect addon i can use to a perfect screenshot i can look at.I fully understand your feeling, belgerot.

It's hard to say when 1.00 will be ready.... It won't be a year, that is for shizzle. A couple months sounds more realistic, maybe sooner...who knows.
One of major reasons 31st Mod is very expected should be your releasing term. No matter a Mod how much nice in theory, waiting for two or five years to get it would let most of us lose patience. I dont try to blame any other Mods who are contributing us for free. Just tell the truth what I'm feeling.

in the end its your call if you remove the tank destroyer arm badges, they historically not correct (at least on every unit), but no one force the mod to be 100% historically correct in any detail (which is nearly impossible anyways i think)
it would be a shame if the stug crews have them but the infantry dont, so maybe just make sure that the infantry get them aswell.
To be more historically correct, I would remove tank destroy badges from the arm as suggested. But momently, I just asked to get aprroval of modifying crews instead of infantrymen. But I've really done some for personal amusment stuff.

I think you mean the crews wouldn't be awarded to such arm badges even if they destroy any tanks in their stug or tank. So usually, only an infantry man is more likely to get such bades. Just a little pity to remove it since it looks nice. When you speak of 'normal infantry assault badge', do you refer to the infantry assault badge that was awarded to the infantry unit or the general assault badge which was awarded to a solider not in the infantry unit? You could see the second pic. That crew is wearing a general assault badge beside the silver tank assault badge. In the first pic, the golden medal is a golden wounded award not tank assault badge.

Stug crews didnt got tank destroyer badges unless they left their vehicle and destroyed a tank with a so called "Panzernahkampfmittel", aka panzerschreck, panzerfaust, molotov cocktail or geballte ladung.That assumption seems ok. But I actually would like to use them as anti-tank crews as well. Just confused in the late war if the crews in the anti-tank unit or the assault gun almost did the same thing to be used as anti panzer force?

Awesome, looks much better than the other ww2 mod, which detail is very poor in most things and good thing that u wen to Russians vs Germans, the original map is like them Russian fields and all.Have you ever tried T-Roc's tank pack in 31stMod? There are lots of variations for panthers, tigers and IV tanks. The models and textures are also very nice.

I hope each unit from different country could use their own language. But most important that geman could use some real workds in battle.

I think those tanks were captured by Finn during the war. Actually, doesn't care much if they were originally made by Finn or a captive one. Just really deeply impressed by the nice texture of the tank addon.

For US four-machine gun group vehicle, the fire would be very strong and fatal to Jerry's infantry.

The best T-34 tank I ever saw in ARMA. It's really a pity it hasn't been transferred to ARAM2. The texture is really amazing in realism. Very awesome!

I just think actually it depends on the armor code of those tanks.
When bazooka hits the vulnerable sections of an armor vehicle, it should penetrate or destory it even by one shoot. But when it happens to shoot at the front armor of a king tiger or panther V, it couldn't knock out the target so easy.
In addition, just wonder if it's possible to get more realistic details of animation in ARMA2. Such as a helmet or hat flies off when it's hit. I still could remember the thrill of our players when got such special effects in game DOD years ago.

The best WW2 us paratroopers ever saw in ARMA2. Like those combat kits in detail. Very realistic feeling for that.

UPDATE 4/08/10:Improved performance infantry, with new textures, portraits, rank overlays are nearly complete.
*note: colored soldiers removed from US regular infantry ranks, same will occur with most infantry units. Only specific units will have colored soldiers.
Is this an updation for 1.00 news or a patch released for the current beta Mod? It seems I couldn't find the updation file for downloading.

Now are reworking for a full rank range of SS tank crews and Assault gun crews for T-Roc's awesome tank packs. This modification addon would be for his tanks in 31st Mod. Some screenshoots for crew officer and private.

Those newly improved soldiers look very nice. I like the idea to give detail ranks for identification instead of all looking the same as some other addons did.

In real life, I think a medic may be armed with a pistol or something to defend himself in case of encountering japanese in the pacific war or SS troops in europe. But in game, it'd be better not to do that. Because I found the medic with weapon would be involved in a fight volunteerly in the game and could be killed easily. Then no one takes the job of medic.
