I made the same mistake, rename the mod folders temporarily that require cba so they cant be found and then start the game, that way that cant be loaded and u wont get the error

Is it the @Ace folders that are in question or the @CBA folders? :confused:

I get this error message using the Combined Arms shortcut -

"Include file x\cba\addons\main\script_macros_common.hpp not found"

and it dumps back to desktop. Game runs fine from the BAF shortcut ("C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2oa.exe" -mod=BAF) but I notice there is no selection for the Mods in it's menu.

If I add -mod=OA to the CA shortcut it starts fine but still no sign of the Mods menu.

Any help?

[ArmA II / OA Installation problems]

Just bought and DL'd OA from Sprocket, DL seemed to go fine. When I try to install it to my ARMA 2 folder (ver 1.07) I get the "Missing ARMA2Patch_1_07.exe" error and the install ends. As my ARMA2 1.07 patch is named ARMA2Patch_100_to_107.exe and I couldn't find anything online named "ARMA2Patch_1_07.exe" I renamed the patch and copied it over to the "17401" folder that was created by the download. Reinstalled and then got a "missing readme.txt" error that killed the installation.. SO I made one and tossed THAT into the 17401 install folder. Reinstalled yet again and this time I get a "missing ARMA2OA_manual.pdf" error! Soooo, I make a "ARMA2OA_manual.pdf" file in MS Word with "test" in it and place that in the 17401 install folder and try one more time... Success! Why is it looking for these files and why do I not have them? Going to do the 1.54 update now, hope that works!

Edit: Looks like everything has installed and OA ver. 1.54 is all set... now to try and connect to MP.

It's ok, just needed to know that I had to download and reinstall the updater rather than let it try and update itself. Works fine now, it's all good.

Actually the message when I try and update is "msvcrt-ruby18.dll not found". Tried reinstalling the updater, all went well, it updated itself but when it tried to update ACE and ACEX it kicks out... any help?

[Cant patch Arma 2 Direct2Drive version]

The guy I referred to could also play and it showed proper version. But when he tried to join MP servers, he was kicked.

Thanks BigBear, i'll give MP a try and see if it balls me up. If it does i'll do the uninstall/reinstall to default/patch to 1.04, then to 1.05 update thing to see if that works for me too.

A team member also had this issue last night. When updating D2D 1.02 to 1.05, it gave all the errors mentioned above (odd it was telling him during 1.05 install "Updating Steam version..ect").

He then reinstalled D2D 1.02, patched it to 1.04 then to 1.05 without a flaw.

He is also happy to play again.

I got those same errors (all #STEAM) on my new D2D download yesterday when it updated from 1.02.x to 1.05.x, but the game ran fine afterwards and shows as 1.05.x. I re-ran the the patch and it just went to 100% and said it's already at 1.05, no errors shown, and is all set. My assumption is as I didn't start with the Steam version so that's why it isn't updating those files. I also applied the 1.05a Hotfix, still all is well...

Running Vista 62 with UAC disabled.
