What is your fps in Bohemia's SP mission(s)? Around min. 40fps should be manageable with your system. No dips under is impossible unless the mission is light. If you're in a car or a helicopter disabling PiP can give big boost to minimum fps. View and object distances and object detail are also things you can try to sacrifice to a certain point. Setting object detail on normal can give a nice boost on minimum fps. What I noticed about your first post is that you said your GPU usage is at 100%. That means if you're under the fps you try to achieve (likely 60fps?) you need to lower settings that eat up GPU for example AA and SSAO. When you're not on GPU bottleneck and you've tried to compensate enough for the CPU bottleneck that Arma is famous for you (we) can't blame yourself anymore. -

Use the vignette effect as an indicator how tired you're. When it kicks in it's better to slow down walking or stop and observe. It's very easy to manage that way. It takes 10mins to learn fatigue in VR. But I don't deny that a bar would be welcome.- 1935 replies

MP and editor to test mods, new features or practice things out. In MP I play mostly Domination and when there's something in Tactical Battlefield mod's server(s) going on I jump in. Sometimes I attend in some organized coop or PvP. It would be a god send if devs do include exclude filter at some point. It's not fun to scroll all those Life, KOTH and Wasteland servers to find anything decent and/or new server and gamemodes. I haven't enjoyed SP much lately because of the change that was made. Mostly in SP missions I'm outnumbered and when both side AI are equally good (one enemy many times feels like two of your side AI) the mission is impossible. I'm also not a fan of leading AI so that already turns me off.

The infantry damage and medic system really needs to change. Priority #1 after optimizations IMO.

Well Arma 3 is still in development so paying full price could be painful especially for a new player. But I've now used ~45€ for the game and DLC package and I think the game is worth the price and will be even more worth in 1-2 years.

Don't forget that you can use the sharpen with SMAA now which wasn't possible before and many people and articels show it's bit better than FXAA. 100 was max for my eyes. Better trust your eyes.

If there wouldn't be zoom out, driving karts would be impossible. The FoV is too near with those. Though if toggle zoom out did work it wouldn't be that bad thing... Lower FoV with flying vehicles would be welcome like you said.

Does your whole internet go down for a while? Some people including me have had that kind of a problem in Arma. Never found a reason why it started and how it stopped to happen. -

Shadows at distance / Shadows when looking through a scope

In TOH and DayZ you can set 2000m shadow distance but it's fps killer because it bottlenecks CPU. One big problem is that units are not shadowed in distance so they look bright under a tree that has "shadow" on the ground texture. So those shadow textures on the ground only reveals units. -
Oh and I think the most of the time I've tested all kinds of graphic options. After army I'll start to play more MP.

Now fatigue recovery for heavy weight gear is too easy so you recover too fast almost as fast as with light weight gear! I liked that if you had max amount of gear your fatigue didn't recover almost at all. Fatigue gain for light gear should be bit lower. Fatigue recovery for light gear is way too much the same as with heavy gear. Because this system is more about short term fatigue and not long term lighter gear should recover faster. There needs to be more difference between light and heavy gear.- 1935 replies

Sorry I didn't mean to offend you. The engine is the problem. AI and syncing bottlenecks every system. I just told what can be expected with GPU upgrade in Arma. DayZ has the same problem currently and if they solve it then maybe in Arma 4 we can see some bigger improvements. It's just a cold fact that minimum fps can't be increased with GPU upgrade unless your whole system is pretty weak already. So I also don't believe that we will see any bigger steps in Arma 3 and I also would be pretty pissed if it doesn't get improved in the next gen.

You can't get higher fps when the CPU is bottlenecked. You can just higher your graphics that load GPU without fps drop, so you could now do something like high SSAO and highest AA settings without a drop under that 24fps when earlier you could only go for 4xAA (just examples).

Well it was introduced bit over a year ago when they changed the rotation axis. http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=18947 http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=19487 I hated it since they did it because every clipping got worse because now you got stuck and "falling" on everything. There was some clipping before that but it wasn't that bad. Just one example I filmed 11 months ago
