  2. Hi, I've downloaded everything to make this map work but i cant get it to work. Everytime i click on it whether it be in the editor or armoury it crashes to home screen... looks great though.
  3. Ahh cool looks about right would like to see the weapons without the red tip but other than that its all good, I'm not trying to sound pushy and i get why you dont but maybe you could put the config as an optional? So people dont feel they have to have it.
  4. love the new stuff and enjoying it with stalkers units but i was wondering two things. 1) Is any one planning on making a config so that stalkers units are already in the vehicles? 2) IS the SUSAT reticle actually like that in real life or do you plan to change it? cheers.

  6. Yeah nice one i cant wait until all the british stuff starts rolling out, your units, rksl air vehicles, ukf weapons ands tanks, project reality and BIS units its gunna be awesome. XD
  7. Maybe, orginally these were all in desert DPM but I switched halfway through to MTP seeing as the MTP will replace desert DPM at some point. From testing these guys, they blend in pretty well in desert landscapes and many of the units have desert DPM on them (Assualt Osprey on some, Helmet covers etc). Once again sorry if im wrong but when i was watched a couple of videos on youtube about the new camo i got the impression it will replace the old temperate DPM but not the desert. However in afghanistan it will be replaced by the MTP because of the wide variety of different setting particularly in the green zone. Im not sure but i thought it sounded as though they were keeping the desert DPM though?
  8. Is anyone planning on making a falklands war type mod, would be about the right size for a map and it could be made into a quite good campaign i think. With project reality, UKF, StalkerGB's units and the projects RACS mod it could be turned into a modern conflict as well.

    Ground ripple?

    When playing on maps like Duala or Utes where there are areas with little to know vegetation ive noticed that about 2-3 metres ahead of me i can see the ground texture rippling constantly at this distance and is getting quite annoying. I'm just wondering if anyone else gets this and if so can you get rid of it? Cheers.

  11. Shame about them replacing the temperate dpm i quite like it although, correct me if im wrong but I thought I saw some pictures of the new british infantry uniforms and i think they might have made a new version of the temperate DPM with the PECOC gear.
  12. Are you doing all 3 camos desert, mtp, and temeperate or just the mtp? Either way looks great cant wait to use them.
  13. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a different move speed that hold the gun up for better cqb. I'm thinking anywhere between the walk speed and the run, just so action happens quicker and i think it would make it more realistic if the right amount of bullet dispersion was applied obviously. I just think the walk is silghtly to slow and the huge change between the walk and run and the fact you have to put your gun down is a huge disadvantage. If it is possible i think the best way to apply it is when you have the setting of gun up when pressing CTRLx2 you should automatically run with you gun up but when you press CTRLx2 again the gun goes down and you go into your normal faster run with your gun down.

    How Satisfied with Arma2 Are you??

    Yeah i like this game the only problems i have with it are the movement of infantry for example trying to navigate a house is ridiculous and you can only move at 2 MPH if you want your gun up, some of the features of the AI like staying in formation doesnt seem to be in there vocabulary and the strain it puts on my system. Surely it can be a bit more efficient. But other than that its great. I know i may get burnt but those are things i think OFP:DR have done pretty well.

  16. I was wondering if it was possible for someone to make a config type addon that would change the red dot sights that are used on the m4/m16 series when ACE2 is active to the the standard bis red dot sights?

    RKSL Merlin HC3 BETA Release

    Going back a week or two rock i said i got that error message saying i was missing the radarsys.pbo. I put your theory to the test that i should not be running addons from my documents and program files at the same time so i took everything out of that folder apart from the saved game data which is suppose to be there. But i still got the error message. What is strange though is that it is only saying the pumas, lynxs, and the arma 2 pbo need it but the merlin apparently doesnt, even when i have the addons working from both places. Does the merlin use this file or not because its strange that only a few of the addons would say its missing :/.
  18. It has most probably been brought up before but with ACOG scopes i was wondering if it would be possible to have two settings because of how hard they are to use in close quaters. I know that having the peripheral vision as well as having another image 4x zoom would be very hard to render or just not possible to do. But i was thinking instead of this you could have two setting of sight on the ACOG like there is at the moment with the iron sight, ACOG combo. But instead of having the iron sights i think it would be better if instead of changing sight you just change the ACOG setting so you are still looking through the sight with the original crosshairs but it changes to the format of the aimpoint so you can see either side and the scope but the zoom is reduced to 1x. The other setting for the scope would of course be the fully zoomed in BIS version of the ACOG with blacked out sides. i think this would create the sense that you have both eyes open when using the 1x version and when you use the 4x your focussing in and closing one eye as it is suppose to be used. Again I dont know if it is possible but I think it would be more immersive. But also I was wondering for games like BFBC2 and MW2 are they actually just zooming the scope in or the whole screen and if it is the whole screen would it be possible to do that in ARMA2 and just blurr the outer peripheral vision?

    Yeah really like it, its got so many more features and details than any other chopper i've used. I dont know whether its on the chopper side or just the game but ive been playin in the editor with you choppers trying to insertions. And they do work for the most part the only problem being is that when i give the ai pilots the waypoint order "transport unload" it pushes me out of the chopper when its still to high so much so that my legs break lol. i tried switching in and out different choppers to see whether it was that and the blackhawk was just landing and letting me out with no trouble. But still really like the chopper its my favourate in the game cheers for making it. :)

    hmmm im not sure it is a directory though i think it is where arma 2 saved my settings and everything but when i didnt actually know where i was suppose to put addons i think that was the first place i found so i just made an addon folder there and it work. Strange though that it might cause i problem for this because it hasnt for any other mods :/.

    yeah i have that two for some reason when i installed it gave me two directories and both work at the same time lol. i have mods working from both lol. I'll try it in a modfolder and see if it works but i dunno why but i have both file paths lol. ---------- Post added at 11:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:19 AM ---------- Nope ive put it in a modfolder in program files/arma2.... and it is still telling me i have a file missing :/

    yup sure i kept all the different choppers and systems together and theyre in the game but it still pops up. And i just had another look to make sure lol. They're all in My documents/arma2/CA/addons. stragely though in the list of things that need it the merlin doesnt pop up where as the puma and lynx do as well as arma2.pbo. Also arma 2 is updated to 1.05.

    i get a different problem, when i go into the game with rksl addons on i get a message bar that says im missing or the lynx need file 'core radarsys' ive downloaded all your files i could find but it still does it :/.
  24. when looking into the distance or up a hill and you can see the horizon i find it looks bald even when its got grass on it. I think if you add just a tiny bit of blur i think it would make it look much better.
  25. A hummer with a minigun on top would be sick like in mw2 lol.
