  1. Satellite view (SATCOM) for ARMA 3 by Pixel Art Studio I'd like to announce the first release of SATCOM system (satellite view) for ARMA 3. Because this is already third version of SATCOM in the community and I have experienced with its creation, for now, I tried to make it to look more realistic, although there’s no possibility to implement all parts of satellite systems as it is in real life or military services. Because of it, all coordinates and the others output values in SATCOM have real based format and values. But of course, there was a space for an imagination as well. Script variant available only For now, there’s available only script variant of SATCOM system because the unknown issue has appeared with packing and binarizing of the add-on file. Soon as I will solve this problem, I will release the add-on version. Manual: In this version you can find the User manual inside of the release packing Screenshots: http://www.pxs.armaholic.eu/pictures/satcom3new.png (3477 kB) License agreement This work was created by members of Pixel Art Studio (PXS) with the help of people noted in credits. 3. @Nemiuk: Thank you for reporting the bug. There was a mistake in User Manual, in description.ext file has to be writen this: #include "pxs_satcom_a3\init_interface.hpp" I fixed the manual and updated the download file.
  4. Hey, you can use PXS_switcher in any script you want but it has to be after that all functions and varibles in init_satellite.sqf are loaded. One expamle of init.sqf: _a1 = [] execVM "pxs_satcom_a3\init_satellite.sqf"; sleep 0.2; //action [player, true] call PXS_switcher;
  5. Satellite view (SATCOM) by Pixel Art Studio Description: It is long time what I released this addon on armaholic.com but now I decide to release it here for large spectrum of users. Now you can use thermo mod view (FLIR), night mod view and it is SP, MP and ACE 2 compatible. Furthermore, OA version includes a SatCom Operator unit and SatCom terminal backpack. News: In version 1.5 there was added SWAC module Version: 1.51 Version history: Manuals: http://www.pxs.armaholic.eu/satcom/Main.html (the loading of this website can take longer time) Easy installation guide (This is a basic installation guide for simple copy/paste usage in pdf file) Preview video: Downloads: Satellite view for OA, CO (addon version), v1.51 Satellite view for OA, CO (script version), v1.51 Satellite view for A2 (addon version), v1.51 Satellite view for A2 (script version), v1.51
  6. Thanks for notification of this bug. I'm gonna post it to the Known errors section in satcom manual. Unfortunately I don't see any chance to fix it on my own. Hopefully devs will change that soon or maybe in Arma 3 ;)

    SP missions by Chicago (PXS)

    You're right Desert Cat isn't compatible with dedicated server and all of my sp missions are packed like addon.
  10. I think there are more things which stopped working in the old sqs :D and BIS is recommending to use only sqf format since Arma 2
  11. So, I can see you're still working in sqs format. I think it'll be better to work in new format sqf. Because I found out there could be this issues in older format like sqs. According my experiences because I had similar problems and I solved them by this. Just try it.

    Anymore DLCs?

    I think it's obvious, BIS will be focused on Arma 3 and next upcoming DLC's will be probably for Arma 3. Yep, it's only my opinion.

  14. Tanks wika_woo. It's very nice footage I like how the video is connected with music. It all looks very good :ok:
  15. Well, there's a way how check it. You can use the command taskState. for instance: tskSomeTask = player createSimpleTask ["NewTask"]; hint format["Taskstate: %1", taskState tskSomeTask];

    Blake's Carrier Ops

    Yeah I agree, it's very useful addon. Congratulation to your great job.
  17. It was very, very funny, almost ridiculous video :D Nice work! :bounce3: ( "Skoro jsem se válel smíchy pod stolem" )

    Hey, after long time I finished the next version of this mission. The main change is compatibility with new version of the satellite view (v1.51) and further I reduced the difficulty level in some parts of the mission. 20. Well, your first definition in init.sqf is correct but for the second definition you have to use the function: [<name of your object>, "ON"] call PXS_switcher; This function is implemented in SATCOM system and it creates the action in the scroll menu itself for defined unit / object.
  21. Amazing work -Martin-. I have to agree with sv5000 the details look fantastic. I like to see that you decide to create the island so varied
  22. Hey everyone, I want to announce that I made the Easy installation guide which you can use for easy copy/paste usage. There are installation instruction which they explained in simple way. This is only a bonus for on-line manual and all information about SATCOM system you can find there.
  23. Thanks for info, Tankbuster. Long time I'm looking for a good script editor :)
  24. I'd like help you but my experience with making addons isn't so large and I don't know if I will be useful.
