  1. Thanks a lot dude.. It worked well. I can click at my campaign but when I'm about to start it I get the message No entry 'Campaigns/operation dead fox campaign/description.ext/campaign.01 - CALL OF DUTY'.. I think there is something wrong here but I can't figure out what.. class MissionDefault { lives = -1; lost = ; end1 = ; end2 = ; end3 = ; end4 = ; end5 = ; end6 = ; }; class Campaign { name = "OPERATION DEAD FOX"; firstBattle = "01 - CALL OF DUTY"; class 01_CALL_OF_DUTY: MissionDefault { name = "01 - CALL OF DUTY"; firstMission = "01 - CALL OF DUTY"; end1 = "02 - OPERATION DEAD FOX"; end2 = ; end3 = ; end4 = ; end5 = ; end6 = ; lost = "01 - CALL OF DUTY"; class OPERATION_DEAD_FOX: MissionDefault { end1 = "03 - THE FIRST DAY"; lost = "02 - OPERATION DEAD FOX"; template = "01 - CALL OF DUTY.afghan_village"; };
  2. There is obviously something wrong... I get this message when I click on campaigns in the meny: File campaigns/operation dead fox campaign/description.ext, line 22:'/campaign/beginning.02': '-' encountered instead of '=' :bored:

I just hope Brothers in arms: furious 4 will meet the same fate.

    Codemasters Guildford Studio to close!

I feel a little bit sad for this. Because a lot of people obviously have lost their jobs, aswell included failed titles in their CV, not to mention the cost for something like this, and It's all due to idiots like Sion Lenton and the rest of the people at Codemasters that support their business. As always I bet the people that are behind all this crap will get away with it. I do feel very happy about the fact Codemasters screwed up real bad. I only hope that the people behind it wont get away with it.
  5. That's what I was worried about.. Because tank combat doesn't get very fun if it's just extreme close combat with infantry and other tanks. The orginal RO had a quite good map seize on some maps. I bet some maps are made for extremely close infantry combat with constant action but due to the fact that the game has SDK bigger maps will probably be created. Personally, I will only buy the game if the map seize is good (e.i. not crowded with 64players). I generally don't like when the players run around like chickens getting shot down all the time. I had a lot of good moments in RO. In overall, how does the health system work? Is it improved since RO? How is the damage system? How is it to shoot in the game?
  6. How's the map size in general? My impression is that there's a lot of urban combat on the streets, in houses, tunnels etc. Is there a lot of open terrain around the map? What can the map seize be compared to?
  7. I am currently playing through Operation Flashpoint: GOTY (the most amazing game I've played along with the orginal Mafia) I have serious problems with the mission Occupation (resistance campaign) since my objectives doesn't update. When I have attacked the base the 'attack base' objective doesn't get updated, and when I hold the base for enemy reinforcement the 'hold the base' objective doesn't get updated either. I've tried twice.. So, is there are way to use a cheat to complete this mission? Because I really don't want to unlock the whole campaign by using cheats I want to do that by playing. =/

    Postal 3

I guess there ain't much people over here that likes Postal, huh? I think the game looks quite good, but to be honest, I doubt it will be as good as Postal 2 despite the fact that Postal 3 will have a lot more features.
  9. I recently took a a look at CWC mission Editor and I found out that ''Anonymous'' actually isn't empty in CWC. When I work with the mission editor for arma there are no sounds in the Anonymous section. However, in CWC, I found those sound effects: Is it supposed to be like this? Is it possible/legal to port those sound effects into arma? Is there any effects like this at all to arma? Because it would really be usefull in the editor, especially if you would hear the enemy cursing you in combat!

It would be kinda pointless to make the game more like COD due to the fact that probably (my guess) 90% of all games out there tries to imitate COD more or less. Unfortunately, I'm worried that the game will be more like COD, whenever it is codified by 2% or 30%..its bad.
  11. I believe that there is no doubt and discussion about the fact that both Red River and Dragon Rising failed completely. The fact that DR sold 1.2 million copies is, however, completely irrelevant, and not like Sion Lenton said, that Dragon Rising didn't fail because it sold 1.2 million copies. Because Dragon Rising didn't sell well because Codemasters created a good title. It sold well because of Bohemia Interactive's earlier work with the orginal Flashpoint and because Codemasters told lies about the game. They lost most of their fanbase because of Dragon Rising which obviously had a direct effect on Red River sales - which is as we know - terrible - and as the wise man Sion once said; People vote with their wallets. Believe it or not, but there's actually something in it. All this points to: Both DR & RR are terrible games no matter if it's called Flashpoint or not, or whenever a few inviduals like it or not because it doesn't change the fact that both games actually failed. It didn't appeal to neither the majority of the Flashpoint fans or the mainstream.
  12. My first campaign Operation Dead Fox is soon ready to be released. It ended up with 22 missions taking place in Afgani/Avgani. Now I am looking at least on person, but even better two persons, that can play through my campaign and look for any major errors such as broken triggers or whatever. Since it is my first campaign I think it would be great with some feedback for future campaigns. It would also be good in case I get problems with the campaign script. If anyone's intrested in helping me out with this please reply. I will give you my email adress and later on I will give you the campaign.

    Postal 3

Yeah, the graphics really looks outdated, but hopefully the final version will at least look a little bit better. But as far as i'm concerned, the most important thing is the new features.. bees, aids infected cats, hyperactive lab monkeys and so on. I'm also keen about the multiplayer. Because I hope there will be MP. It was incredibly fun in postal 2. Especially with all the bugs that made it possible to teleport, and walking under the map shooting people down. I will probably buy the game. It looks great enough to support.

Maybe I do overthink it, but I believe it would be a quite critical feature in order to make it less arcadeish. One option could simply be that you'll have to shot the NPC in the head in order to be able to use the clothes and disguise yourself. This means that if you throw a grenade, or put a few rounds in the chest in the NPC, you won't be able to use the clothes to disguise yourself due to blood stains and damage on the clothes (whenever you can see the bloodstains and the damage done to it is quite irrelevant though). When it comes to changing clothes it could be more broken a part. Like when you're standing close to the corpse, you can click on Change clothes, and when you do so, you'll have to click on Put on boots, put on pants, put on west, put on helmet while a animation does it when you've clicked. Would means that it would take time to change clothes, but it would also mean that you just can change your helmet for instance.

The ability to take your enemies clothes has It's flaws.. While I consider the idea itself as execellent, there's one problem with it.. If you're shooting someone down and take their clothes their clothes would be full of bulletholes. Not to mention all the blood that would be all over the clothes. Maybe it would be possible to make the clothes useless when it comes to disguise if you shot at them. Also, It feels like you're able to change clothes AWAY to quickly. Gives me flashbacks from Hitman while I am being hunted by a group of angry thugs and change clothes in two seconds and get away with it. It would be better with a longer animation or something that simply delays it.
  17. Lol. Just noticed this on my YT channel. I don't know where the statics in the video comes from but it certainly doesn't look good for CM if it's accurate. It looks really terrible..and I guess sion lentons saying that ''People vote with their wallets'' fits into this perfectly. If this is true, what is the chance that another flashpoint games from CM will be released? Or any other game from the current dev at all.
  18. But it wasn't. It was a very polished and enjoyable product. DR, while a lot more stale in terms of gameplay was also a very polished product that had surprised me with it's quality and level of functionality. In my opinion Red River is low quality rubbish despite the fact that I haven't played the game. Why would I play the game? I didn't like DR, and I wouldn't like Red River more, because It's less of what I want. When a gaming company has to tell lies in order to make people instrested about the product that pretty much tells it all. In my opinion DR was not polished either. The characters were unintresting, multiplayer laggy and unstable, few maps, no dedicated servers, very poor mission design, very poor DLCs such as the Island Tour, incredible bad AI that sometimes had super vision and could see through walls, and sometimes they were acting like idiots, and sometimes you had to shot them various times in the head order to kill. The mission editor was restricted, and the story was. what was it about now agian? I'd say never mind, it wasn't much of a story. It didn't even have more than a few cutscenes in the whole game. On top of all they gave up all the support for the game a few months after it was released. I'd say exactly the same thing whenever the game was called OFP or not. Due to the fact that Codemasters were telling lies to people that makes it all worse. They didn't just managed to create a watered down crap game, but they also told straight out lies to people, in order to make them intrested, and of course claiming it was the official sequel. I do agree with you that a OFP probably never will be created agian at least not for a very long time, neither from BIS or from someone else. Personally, as I said before, It's not the name itself alone that makes Codemasters flashpoint series, or whatever we call it, a bad game. I am personally very open to all kinds of games and not stuck with arma in any way. As a matter of fact, I've just gotten into the arma community. When I bought Dragon Rising I did it because it was called Operation Flashpoint. Because I remembered that name and that I've played a game called Ofp a long time ago. So I bought the game. I played about 60% of the story and then that was it. I registered at the officials forums, and there, I realized that this game actually didn't have the same developers like the first one. So the fact that I saw the game as rubbish was simply due to the fact that I considered it as rubbish. My expectations were high from the start, not the other way around. I didn't even know that ArmA existed when I bought dragon rising either. I didn't know it was diffrent developers. I would give DR 5/10 and Red River 3/10. Because in my opinions sequels should improve and not be worse for every game. When it comes to developers that drop support, and tell lies to people, censor posts, give infractions and even shadowbann people because they're not happy with their products, I'd say that I rather not see those people in the gaming industry at all. They shouldn't exist in any company at all. I dream about IGN and gamespot giving Codemaster's OFP series 3/10 just because of that. Sion Lenton and his team deserve no more than, excuse me - a shovel of shit in their face. Because the only business that I accept is ethical business. Not business built on lies. EDIT: I'd also like to add that IF Codemasters polished the game more, and if they actually at least showed that they cared about the community, I would respect them more. But they don't. The dev tracker at their officials forums for instance is dead despite loads of complaints and problems regarding red river. I bet they've lost their whole fanbase and I doubt we'll see any other flashpoint game from Codemasters. At least for a long time.
  19. In one of my missions you're playing as a civilian. Your task is to eliminate the primeminister. I want the OPFOR to become hostile to the player when they've killed the primeminister. How?
  20. Thanks, it worked fine. Or at least addrating.

Put weapon on back. I want it.
  22. First off, I'd like to add if you're starting to develop on a sequel to any game most people expect the sequel to be just that - a sequel. Codemasters knew that, so they marketed the game as a sequel to the extremely popular Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis - Exactly as Mark Turosz said in an interview. That's why there were turning Dragon Rising into a 'combat simulation' experience. As we all know, Dragon Rising sold 1.2 million copies worldwide, and according to Sion Lenton Dragon Rising didn't ''fail'', but it did. Because they had told loads of bullshit about the game, talking about crap that was not even in the game, and giving people impression that it would be a real sequel to OFP. In the end, it was just a half-baked game, with community members such as Templar that could create more advanced, fun, intresting stuff in forms of missions and such than the actual Dev crew. That pretty much indicates how lousy Sion Lenton's crew are. On top off all, they didn't give any support to Dragon Rising either. Since they failed so hard with the 'combat simulation' in Dragon Rising, and the whole game in overall, they probably implemented words about how simulation is a dirty word in the flashpoint series, simulation is boring etc. in order to cater the mainstream audience. I bet Sion though Dragon Rising failed because of the simulation. However, they obviously didn't understand that people would get irretated if they removed everything that the flashpoint series is accociated with; map editor, modding, non-scripted missions etcetc. At the same time, Adam bragged about how much they listened to their community in one of the red river interviews, and said that red river had a massive re-play value since you could change classes in the middle of the game. Their way of doing business is pathetic. The way the tell lies, mislead, drop support, sell broken products - and even charge money for lousy DLCs, and the way they give away infraction, banns, shadowbanns to people before Red River's release at their official forums because they complained about the game. Some thing are so incredible stupid that I cannot understand it. Unfortunately, I'll have to say that I believe that some people simply expected Red River to be worse than complete rubbish. So they accept it how it is today. And that's the whole problem; If people accept low standard products, that's what the gaming companies, or any company, will give them, because they buy it. Luckily, that's not the case for red river since it was a fail in sales aswell. It sold just over 100,000 copies in EU so that's great. Hopefully we won't see another flashpoint game from Codemaster's. When it comes to games in overall I am not biased at all. I play all kind of games; arma, gta, postal 2, far cry, the sims, and the list goes on. It's completely irrelevant what the game would be called right now. The fact that it's called Operation Flashpoint doesn't make it bad, It makes it worse. It could be called anything - I would still consider it as the worst game that my computerscreen ever have seen. And my TV for that sake, If I had it on console.
  23. How do I use the M107 properly on jeeps, tanks, APC, and helicopters? Where should I hit? I have no idea where to find the engine block on tanks and so on. I've tried to shot the jeep right in the engine block but it doesn't seems to work even though I fired about 3 rounds in it.

I wonder if anything (and if so what) have been done to make Arma 3 more accessible for other people. To be honest, I am a little bit worried, but I am also very new to the community so I don't know how things work around here, but it may seems logical.
