  1. About the WW2 Game mode:

    - Two sided Allies VS Axis player vs player multiplayer arena

    - A visible battle frontline style format in the form of flags

    - Persistant- Running 24-7 until a victory threshold is met- Meaning if you leave and come back another day the battle may/will still be going

    - Towns will have multiple strongpoints to capture along with a base and supply point

    - A percentage of strongpoints need to be captured before the base can be captured

    - Enemy can spawn from captured strongpoints

    - Capturable command posts between towns with significant distance between them

    - Capturable airfields, supply depots, factories, naval facility

    - A supply system that can be damaged and depleted- For example- If a town's supply table only has 10 sherman tanks, once they are depleted, they cannot be spawned from that town again unless resupplied. Same goes for all equipment and infantry. Same for airfields.

    - Resupply depends on a functioning supply chain.

    - Mobile spawning system that takes you to the battle quicker

    - Spawning from any side owned town base, strongpoint, supply depot, factory.

    - Very limited use of AI for a warning detection system at each town and facility...But once it's damaged or eliminated, the warning system becomes dysfunctional.

    - **possible statistic systems that keep track of a players use of equipment, kills, deaths on a website.

This is just a target overview of what were putting together later in this mod. We built this large scale map for this purpose with a large scale multiplayer arena in mind.

All upcoming theaters in our mod such as The Battle of The Buldge, The Pacific Theater, Northern Africa, The Northern War, Southern Europe, & The Eastern front will all feature these large scale arenas. The Pacific Theater will include multiple maps that cover vast amounts of the theater.

Will this feature be available as a multiplayer mission for players to host their own servers? If so, will the other players be AI if all slots are not filled? Or do you plan to provide the public with tools to create similar battles using warfare gameplay?

  2. I have the mod set up and everything is working/looking great!

But i have no german infantry available to select in the editor.

I didn't think that they were released in this beta utnil i saw GqchatarN's screenshots.

Any ideas why they are not showing up in the editor?

    (i am using CBA)

there are 87 items in the addons folder, correct?

no weapons appear to be showing up either

  3. Suggestion to all GOOD mission makers. If any of you try out the game WW2-Online Battleground? Would like to see a TEAM vs TEAM with the "touch" of ww2-online.

on going battle that could last for a week if you would or even more.

Basic game play is that you could only attack towns that are linked to each other so it form a kind of " line" that is the front. towns behind that " line " can not be captured. And all towns have supplyline that can be cut so all " spawn tickets" & supply " can not be resupply. All towns get a " Basic set of AI set up for Defens of town".

Your description is already very much like warfare. I enjoy warfare's similarities to WWIIO:BGE and how each battle is never the same as another. It is also significant in how it simulates realtime war strategy. Warfare is the reason why many of us have played Arma as long as we have. But I like the idea of reinforcement and supply tickets. But it my opinion, launching attacks behind enemy lines to capture towns is a blast (especially when it is done by air ;) )!

I can't wait to see everyone's contribution to the game through later releases. This mod willd definitely be another reason to keep playing Arma! It has been a while since i've worked with 3D modeling and texture art, but maybe i will find some time to start up again! Props to all involved with this mod!

  4. I re-read my last post. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was bashing on Cornered Rat Software. They have put in a lot of work since their first public release of the game--especially for the fact that they had to take the time to create the realistic physics, audio simulation, spot-collision simulation, etc. Graphics aren't everything when you have excellent gameplay like so. In fact, the graphics are quite impressive for a large-scale online game, thanks to their dedicated server. We are just fortunate to have the Arma engine to be so mod-friendly. Especially for its artificial intelligence. But you guys do a good job. :rthumb:

and once again, good job on te terrain!

  5. I am absolutely fascinated by how far this mod has gone. I have been patiently following it for a while and have become more and more amazed by how far this has come. It is just so geniously constructed. Not only do the character, weapon, and tank models look fantastic, but I am absolutely awed by how you guys have managed to piece together an accurate map of a huge chunk of Europe. Only WWII Online: Battleground Europe has accomplished something similar, but the terrain is no where near as detailed as this (in fact, everything about their "innovated" graphics is still quite cheesey looking). I just have to ask you how a mod team could outdue people who get paid to do this kind of thing. Did you perhaps use a high-resolution bump map for the terrain?

Keep up the great work! Can't wait to try this one out myself
