  1. Really Paul? After 15 years in this game series you think i'd be so dumb? The entire point of this is that we can't replicate it elsewhere. Nor have we been able to change the behaviour, have you not read the full thread?
  2. LOL No. They are freshly placed vehicles with 100% health. The original pics are pre the A3 Physx update. The video is post the update.
  3. Fragmented Hard Drives cause every computer issue. :) Defraging is not the issue. Besides if you read the post you'll see its a new install on a new HD. No time for it to be fragmented. And you NEVER defrag an SSD. It shortens the life considerably. We've tried all the options for physx in the Nvidia control panel. GPU/CPU/Auto. Same results.
  4. For those that are interested. I'm making some progress on the Wildcat interior. About half way through the High Res interior texturing now. Still some reworks to go and some more detailing. https://goo.gl/895nmb #rksl #Arma3 #Arma3official Faceache. Or for those of Twitter-orientation.
  5. Well its Christmas, and barring the last few years, its always been an RKSL Studios tradition to release new addons at Christmas. He's the first of this years escapees. RKSL Studios presents the WK450 Watchkeeper 450 Remotely Piloted Air System. The Watchkeeper WK450 is a Remotely Piloted Air System (RPAS) for all weather, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) use by the British Army. It has a mass of 450 kg, a typical endurance of 17 hours, a payload capacity of 150 kg and uses a rotary Wankel engine. It can operate up to 150 km from the Ground Control Station (although multiple stations can be linked to extend the range). It was originally intended to enter service in June 2010, but years of delays, technical issues, hardware modifications, difficulties in training sufficient pilots and incidents means that it is not expected to be fully operational until late 2017. 6. You and Jamo both. :) @Alex Sidebottom - Thanks for the compliment, I'd love to have a chat one night. Maybe we can get you on the RKSL TS one night with Jamo to talk about new features.
  7. For a huge number of reasons, not likely at all. They are also far more work to move over than the Lynx and given what i have on my plate right now I just don't have the time. I don't want to sound like a twat so i'll explain a bit. You have to remember this set of models were all made in 2008. All the British Lynx versions, Puma, Merlin, Seaking etc were intended to ArmA1. All the basic pre upgrade models are about 12000 faces in the first lod and aren't that detailed. Which makes creating detailed normal maps a bit of a chore. No proper materials exist for them. I'd have to remake all the rvmats, spec, ao and normals. To get decent look out of the normals i'd have to remap large parts of the Seakings. The textures when put in game now look bloody awful in the A3 game engine. Baking textures and decent normals on a 4k texture takes about 3 hours per texture on my rig. eg: The Puma has 6 basic textures sets and 10 Skins. Its took me nearly 4 months "all-up-time" to get the puma in game and working properly given the limited free time i have. Advanced Flight models are a pain in the arse to tweak but i don't see the point of releasing a helo without one. And they do take time to work out. I could copy and paste my build checklist on here but last time i checked it had 134 points. That's without the testing lists. I have the Wildcat, Merlin HC4, Merlin HM2, Wokkas and the Puma HC2s in various states of build right now. The only reason I'm considering the Lynx AH7, 9 and 9A is because the flight model work is largely done because of the Wildcat. Even then, these will probably be direct ports with very little cosmetic upgrades on them. I realise a lot of people want to see a decent Seaking but right now I just don't see it happening. Sorry.
  8. I wasn't going to but recently i've had a reasonable amount of requests for it. So thats a maybe. (Time and real life permitting)
  9. Thanks, i've replied. Its related to the PhysX setup on the wheels. I'm still looking for a fix.
  10. Well Kofeina101 wins anyway. I had an accident with the interior last week. I accidentally overwrote it so I'm having to remake it. To be honest i'm glad i am, this one is coming together rather nicely.
  11. Actually that's not far from the truth. Ok here you go. Twitter or Faceache if you prefer.
  12. What can I say I'm something of a renaissance man. The only thing I cant do is play a musical instrument and juggle. Never got the hang of it. I tried to be polite but you keep pushing and being rude. My background and qualifications are fairly well documented on a lot of forum discussions. I'm 45 years old and I've been modding this game series for 15 years too. I'm not exactly inexperienced. However you are arrogant enough to imply that we will fail if you are not allowed to beta test our addons and you continue to act as though I'm the one that is out of order. Take a breath and think about how you are portraying yourself. Think about Roadrunner's reaction and see if you can see what we are seeing. Now lets not clutter the thread with any more nonsense. I'll post more progress pics later this week.
  13. We'll i feel that i've been "told". I'm sure we'll manage perfectly fine without you. We do have some advisers with a little bit of experience, in no particular order: Nial - RAF Retd - 22 years Aircrew on 3 fast jet types. But if I come across anything that they can't answer I'll be sure to ask you. PS and there's me. RAF Rtd, also ex BAe, BAE Systems, Airbus and Eurofighter Gmbh.
  14. And over the cliff and down the rabbit hole we go.
  15. I'm sure you have many good qualities but: You are being pushy and that is never a good thing. I don't know you. None of my friends seem to know you so there is no basis to build trust. Policy stands as it always has. No amount of campaigning will change that. Sorry if that disappoints you.
  16. I've added the bug. I was aware of it but i hadn't logged it. Apparently, some people saw it as a feature...."Stealth mode" I suppose. :) You'll have to join the queue. There about 80 people in front of you. :) Beta Testing in RKSL is by invite only. These days I don't accept request to be testers. I've been burnt in the past and rarely got proper feedback so I only hand out access to people I know i can trust.
  17. I call it a beta because the internal textures are crap and parts of the cpit are missing, and no custom anims etc. No sneaky pics atm. I'm still slogging through the air weapons pack. I'm just populating the documentation database this evening. But all the planes are some ways off because even when i complete the configs i still need to get it all tested.

    RKSL Puma HC1 for A3

Cheers, its funny you mention the GPMGs sounds. Im using the stock BIS Sounds (why reinvent the wheel), the funny thing is they are exactly the same ones as used on the Foxhound; which people have complained are "crap" and "unrealistic". Its funny because the same people that complained also said the ones on the Puma are "much better"
  19. Actually the Radar is linked to the roll. If you watch carefully you will see it move.

    RKSL Puma HC1 for A3

Not in this version. I'm looking at another way to manage weapons but its a bit complicated. In all honesty it will probably be in the HC2 version released later this year, not this version.
  21. It will use the stock flares system. Yes I ran out of numbers. Doesnt mean anything.
  22. I prefer, "unique".
  23. At the moment i'm riding a wave of Tylenol, Covonia and menthol lozenges... I know absolutely nothing with certainty. Its all kind of metaphysical in the near orgasmic afterglow of my most recent sneeze. Only Puma pics today, I dont have the files on this PC.
