    AI Improvement

    They don't always chose appropriate cover or break for cover in a time-critical manner is all I was trying to get across. For instance Nicholas, sometimes they are outflanked and still use the 'cover' like they were facing the same threat direction and not try to get flank cover, retreat or anything really other than flanking fire, proning or moving off with the rest of its group. Dragonshot, so maybe not the accuracy being faster, but the speed of reaction and movement instead of going prone, or crouched, before making a decision, they get straight to cover and decide what to do then instead of the repeating nature of contact currently seen. A mixture of scripts that would make the engagement more randomised would be interesting. It would also be interesting for them to break from the known mid-script if a parameter is met, and conduct something else, i.e. a contact drill. This would prevent those 'dosey' enemy combatants you come across on the odd occasions who skip past you or are in the middle of another state or action before turning to engage. A few thoughts, don't know if I'm anywhere near achievable or comprehensible, I'm not a scripter.

    Friend system

    Awesome idea, the new kids would love it and be able to play together with ease without the flaffing about, 'What server are you on?', 'What mods?', 'I can't find it', 'It's full'. I'd love to see something similar to this, not exactly as mentioned. It's making the game more accessible for casual gamers and minimizing the lull time for regular gamers - the benefits outweigh the critque in this thread, the cost and time on the other hand... The passworded servers, drawn-out recruitment processes already isolate the so called 'elite' groups (had to giggle). It's a friends list, steam-like, idea - not 'closing' the community but opening it to better indirect communication (love to see a messaging system too!) and accessibility while in-game and without using external applications (like teamspeak, skype) just to find out what should be general information. Steam actually have done a really good job of implementing their ideas - the events pages, clan or group pages, invite and play, it's perfect for a gaming session or attracting one with a few friends or randoms. I believe the interface system and idea's like this would benefit Arma in numerous ways for playability and it simply needs work. I think you've inspired some good thought processes in this thread though, hopefully someone will take notice or at least make some micro-changes and make A3 that bit better. AA3 has the 'soldier account' interface, and you can use their website to check yours or other peoples stats, clans and whatever information was made public. That was pretty swell but I wish it was all internal so you didn't have to go outside the game for that information. Other than that it did the job, even showing your training status, accuracy score, all the good stuff. I agree with Nicholas too, a block system would be great and simply mandatory with some of the clowns you meet. And great for tracking players, User ID's, knowing when people are online, what servers or mods, where you can fit in or get a game going, etc. It has more pros than cons for the gamers. p.s. plz add m9. it's my favrt.

  14. A way to pick up all of X magazines. I.e. tracer. When you click on the magazine there is an arrow pointing right, and you click that and it goes into your gear. There should be one with two arrows going right, you click that and it fills everything in your gear with that item selected. This would save time at the ammunition crate. So would a better way of categorising equipment or a search bar to look for them.... mods with their weapons, too many!

  18. Walking is good to catch up on stamina though haha. It's crazy if you compare it to reality, really fast. Awesome! Killed half the room! That would take a bit of time... Bridge ladders would be awesome to see.
  19. Another infiltration method. Nearly all methods are "GET TO THAAA CHOPPER". Minimal involve boats. This would inspire more missions to use them, and the new methods of underwater infiltration. There will probably also be off-shore rigs you can explore. Ship wrecks is probably just aesthetics (as far as I know) but none the less, it makes it look very detailed and a lot of effort goes into it. SDV will just be awesome, periscope to observe and scope out a landing position. "There are assault rifle capable of shooting supercavitating ammunition underwater, explosives and Swimmer Delivery Vehicles." It's just cool. :D
