Strange .. . . hasnt happened to me so far, is it when there is alot of ai nearby? in a city?

Heya loved the idea of the armoury, however some of the ideas above sound like they would defintaly improve game play, just so you can avoid gametypes you dont enjoy, although i do like the randomness :) Also this might just be me but id love for everything to be unlocked just because err .. well im lazy :D but also so i can spend time experimenting with all the guns without spending too much time unlocking. (I think it might just be me because i have problem with unlocking weapons with all games :mad::D i think maybe its me with the problem :rolleyes:??)

Looking at it in that light i can understand where your coming from however i still think that asking this question here can only be good, as you learn about features you may never of herd from someone else, for example, had i asked my brother whether i should think about getting arma2 i would have been told about, glitchs, bugs and never found out about the amazing community that surrounds this game and the custimizations that ARMA2 allows. In my case the reason i gave OFP a go was because my dad said, "its got its problems but ignore them, and you'l love it" id of never given it a chance otherwise.

heya may be just a noob question but i shoud imagin that the expansion would come with a number of fixes??? ie ai reacting to enemy in buildings etc

yes however this is proberly the best place to ask that question because unlike some forums we are an honest bunch, we'l tell you the good points and bad point from people who have played the game as it is ment to be, if the same question was asked on a differnt forum you may recive an awnser from someone who didnt give the game a chance and put you off gettin arma2

Well first off i would check the recomended specs for the game . . then be horrified at the octacore chips and nvidia 2000gtxquadcore gpu's needed to play the game then apply for three jobs, and work 100 hour weeks to save the pennys then cry myself to sleep for 2 years and finaly spend my life spendings on a good enough pc to play ARMA THREE!! ive done it once, i can do it again . . . and it would be worth it .

Yes a run away, or force move would be a nice option, i remeber setting a textbook ambush consisting of 20 people 10 on each side of a v shaped vally, with a road running through it. i had all my men facing the road in a stealth and prone position. two trucks appered which were delt with, then bmp or something enterd the fray, and having little on no AT i decided to move on, so i told my men to move to x the other side of the hill on ethier side, instead of moving out having sucsessfully completed a hit and run, my men ran towards the rampaging bmp!! letting the bmp have a cream party, i literaly walked out of the combat zone looking behind me to see if anyone hadnt deserted me and they all had. ive never seen such determination to ignore self preseviation

ive tried playing the warfare on lan but i found after about ten mins the cpu started to lock up and lag. so i tried playing the mission with the resistance off but recived the same result. any tips on how to stop this ??

yeah i agree with this i just wish that they react under long range fire, it seems that if the ai is over a certian distance away from the shooter then they dont react, or if they do they just go prone. another feature id like to see is the ai use is some smoke grenades to make them that much more effective

Even if the wounded chap was an ai id feel well bad lol not many games could make me feel like that . . . i can understand where your coming from this would be great online but from a gameplay point of view when playing with ai, getting to the end of a mission and then getting hit by a stray bullet (which im sure is imposissible in arma, each bullet seems to have my name writen on it lol) then to die because my ai decides, he'd rather run away with exsitement with his new found leadership, than heal me, would drive me mad :mad::). this is based on the arma 2 first aid modual

Hello there Im a die hard fan of OFP1 & ARMA2. Ive played OFP for 6 years up untill this december my new pc turned up and i ran to the shop to pick up a copy of ARMA 2. When playing OFP i never had the chance to play online but played a vast amount of time on my own made missions. Since playing ARMA 2 ive been playing BE 2.053 (i think) online and enjoyed communicating and planing with other players, however anyone with experiance with most of these games, its very err howd you put it, 'rambo-ish', alot of the time attempts to work with others failed. So ultimately id like to find a group that is kinda serious-fun, err how to explain, kinda like do the whole tatical thing but fun, for exsample when the fire team leader tells me to move to the buiding 12 o clock and i make a dash and get run over by my own tank, i dont get screamed at and kicked know what i mean??? i am quite experianced with ARMA 2 but not an expert, ps my new PC died last week but i will be getting this sorted soon oh yeah and im from the UK!!!

yes i noticed this whilst using the ambiant combat module with mi17, no idea what causes it, however i usually dont group choppers together i find it reduces helo bullying

Hello after installing the 1.05 patch the AI seem oblivious to me in a building, allowing me to mo down, at will, anyone outside the window without being shot at, am i the only one with this problem???
