I was just gifted the STEAM version of BAF but as I run retail ARMA 2: CO I can't download it. Anyway to validate it through STEAM so I can download it, cheers.

Nah hes already gifted me this, I'm not going to as him for money I already have. :p I'm only making a fuss because it would be rude to have him gift me this and then not be able to use it.

Aye you can buy something for other people and gift it to them on Steam, problem is I can't bloody download the thing. :p

Thats the question mate you seem to have misunderstood, I was already gifted the DLC (as in, it has already been bought) but they won't even let me download it without having OA I don't think.

Oh right, its because you said if I have a second retail copy of OA then I could. :P

I have both ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead individually on retail, how would I install BAF from Steam?

Nah it won't let me download it until I have a Steam version of CO/OA I'm sure.

I've been hearing its possible and it isn't possible I'm just not sure and thus I came here, literally spent like an hour googling if theres anyway to do it and after turning up pretty much nothing I decided to ask you guys and post a Steam support ticket. Its pretty shite if it can't be done, hopefully someone knows a way.

Just a quick question lads, my connection is utter balls and its a few hour job for me to download few hundred MB so I got a mate to download this for me as my server is looking to use it. What they didn't inform me of was that they are using the RC release as opposed to the stable release and I got my mate to download the stable release so you can see my dilemma. :p So I was curious, if I installed the ACE stable release would sixupdater completely redownload all the files required or just update whats there? Cheers.

Well the only thing thats got me confused ATM is the rucksacks and the wounding system. Also I noticed the lack of sound from radio chatter, I take it I need to download the ACE sound mod?

Anything to help noobs get to grips with this? Its really different from the original lol.

Okay, it would appear I definitely done this wrong. :j: I just downloaded the core from Armaholic and put it in the directory like other mods and I figured I was just to put ACEX in there to haha. Help me out? lol

Could someone give me a link to ACEX? I click that Six updater portal and get can't find a link to download it, cheers.

Nah didn't work but its okay rather than trying to mod folder it I just put the PBO in the addons folder and success. Thanks for your help mate, now I'm off to enjoy some good gaming. :D

Well I can gather FFAA is the problem but I installed it like any other mod.

Help a noob mate, where is it? :p Edit: Found it, it would appear that FFAA is the problem I'll try to fix it. ---------- Post added at 12:00 AM ---------- Previous post was Yesterday at 10:11 PM ---------- Okay I redownloaded FFAA put the @ sign at the start ticked the box in the launcher and it still won't work I don't understand it at all.

Hey would like to say that this is awesome or at least what I've played of it I completed the first mission without problem and when I clicked continue it just froze up. Every time I try to load mission 2 it just freezes and I need to Ctrl Alt Delete out any help?
