  1. I am having problems getting the AI to shoot at the AMV-7 Marshall with their rifles. As you may know the Marshall has tires that the AI can shoot out with their rifles. However when ever the AI is brought up against a Marshall and don't have a RPG they simply just lay in the grass pointing their rifle. Anyone got any ways around this?

    Thank you very much. This is much appreciated. My two suggestions however are the commander seat should have thermals. And that there should be a pintal mount ontop of the LAV-25. However im sure the 2nd one takes a little work.

I have a rifle that does 12 hit damage. I got 2 questions. 1. What is the tgtRadius? Is that the radius of the HitBody? In this case it would be 0.33000001 2. Is it mathematically possible to get the damageResistance low enough so that the AI will start shooting at the vehicles with rifles? (I know it sounds dumb) The problem is that it seems like the lowest non-negative number I can get is 0.00001 (Because if i remember correctly if I were to go another digit then it would start rounding it to 0) And using negative numbers doesn't seem to work. So far the only way I can get the AI to shoot at the Marshal is either to turn the armor down to ~100 or turn the weapon damage up a great deal. Any help on the subject is greatly welcomed. I have not edited arma for about 5 years.
  4. That was me :P, now i'm trying to hand at a actual solution just to see if its possible. Because i rather have the AI shoot at the vehicle without UAV's.

  6. I fixed it, this is how. I attached 5x AR-2 Darter's (NATO side) around the AMV-7 Marshall. I gave the Darters invincibility and no collision. The AI will now try and shoot at the Darters but as a result will hit the wheels and turret.
  7. As I stated in my OP. The AMV-7 Marshall has tires that can be shot out by basic rifles. I want the AI to pursue that ability and try and disable the vehicle. Some Rifles can also take out the Gun of the APC.

    ACE for OA 1.13

    Is there a way to get the Mines to only explode when Bluefor steps over them. I am trying to make a simple mission with mines but the AI keep on running into the damn things and setting them off so I want them to activate only on Bluefor. I am using UPS scripts so its not possible to just have the AI not step over it I think.

    Most likely it will be like ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead, I wouldn't expect anything dynamic because the sheer detail and mass of the buildings compared to say games developed by Dice is incomparable. It would crash your computer if you would try and blow up a small village with bombs in ArmA 3 with Dynamic building destruction. If ArmA 3 really wanted to murder your system they would put Dynamic Lighting on Everything and have everything cast a shadow including the debris of a blowing up building.

    Still forgot to run over people with a car for fun... but yes that is acctualy what im going to do too hopefully without lowering the settings because i got a new comp

    Load up the editor, Put a bunch of unarmed civilians/soldiers in front of a car, drive the car and have fun watching the ragdolls :D
  14. It probably will have the same setup as ArmA 2 (which works) But my hope is for when they do the voices that they can get it so it all fits together better then ArmA 2 where it seemed like there were different people saying each part

  16. the problem is with Fallujah is only a couple buildings even have stairs to get on top of them let alone get inside them
  17. Yea if you want enterable buildings you make it even more demanding on the PC and i like open warfare but what you said for a mini metropol area would work but i think these villages on Lemnos will satisfy me

  20. This would make sense because most US Military Land Doctrines are based for urban fighting. But i dont think this would work unless you have a Upgraded version of Frostbite 2 where the destructibility is even better. And i have seen many models of real life cities in Cinema 4d but they take a very very very long time to make and then you have to model the streets and inside the buildings as well which i have not seen in a 3d modeler

    Well i don't convey much my self but what i said is how i feel about say some who started playing BIS games since OFP I'm not saying im anything special since i didn't start looking at the forums till a year ago just clear things up....
