What is with the response time of the NPCS? I spawned 30 zombies in front of me, Infected (the running ones) synced the leader to the proper module, and it takes them a while to actually recognize me and then attack. If I had friendlies we would of mowed them down before they could of even started running.

typing this while our base is getting overrun o_O i got like 100-200 zeds spawned, and theres like a collision issue where they can get you even if youre on a roof! its like they hit you through the walls kind of, im about to use them in my serious missions

I think the amount he said should push it to the limit with all the other NPCS and shit going on at the same time. I have a 920 as well, at the moment I'm downloading Part 1.
I'm just curious, since I use a ARMA 2 Launcher for my mods, if all 3 parts need seperate modfolders and then uploaded that way to the Launcher? Hmm

Well yeah...Naturally it's for the community otherwise he would of never even posted and made progress updates and videos and all that jazz.
Look, that's not the point. We all support Charon, and eagerly await the mod have been waiting sincer October. The point is, he needs to stop making false release dates. That's all I'm asking, it's just creating a negative spin on things when time passes and people go,
"Oh hey, he said it was yesterday, it's now today!"
Release this addon with NO offical release date, just do it randomly if you want to. Enough with getting hopes up. It would be cool if it was released this weekend but, if I remember right he lives in the UK so, considering I'm in the US it's near 10 PM there. Otherwise if I'm wrong, just keep hoping. Martin Luther King's day means extended weekend as well. (:

For real, I plan on using this map to make a lot of zombie missions on. Also, is there a alternative download for those African NPCS? The website is like in german or something..Can't read it. :(

Of course people have little patience anymore, false release dates have been issues in the past, and this one again will probably be another one. For the record I'm not holding my breath on a weekend release.
Also, from what I've concluded over one of his post a few pages ago, he won't be active for a few weeks so if it isn't released this week then the next chance that we have is perhaps February.
I want quality and this mod as much as the next guy, but seriously don't get people's hopes up.

You could always
1) There is soppose to be a release of Charon's mod this weekend, look at the pathfinding via that.
2) Consult Charon for help.

Since your going to be gone for a few weeks, or won't be able to work on it. Then by all means, a public release would be excellent this weekend, once you get back the biggest problems will of been identified and lined up to be solved. I won't hold my breath on a release this weekend however (:

I am guessing that you will place the module, then sync any Zed units to it, for the whole process to work, or is it completely independent?

Or will we actually have spawn lists and able to place the zombie UNITS by themselves?

Have you asked the DOT community for perhaps server testing? I heard you and Bktman were working together, not sure if this still is the case however.

Heya Charon, I've had the game about a month now. Finally started using community content to enhance the experience via the editor; It's the game that I've wanted for near a decade now! Been following this zombie mod since the begenning and Bktman's progress on the DOT fourms as well. I just wanted to say, thank you both for your work and time put into this mod. It will be mind blowing once it is released as I hope to put it to good use by the editor, I already have missions set up that just need the zombie units themselves.
Just make sure to take a breather every once in a while, we'll all be here waiting of course. :)

I finally got it working, after a huge struggle getting addons to load properly with the STEAM version (had to re-direct to addon launcher and launch the game that way, can't use Steam unless I only want to load like 1 addon)
Looked at the example mission, got it down pat, then set off to edit my Panthera - Black Hawk Down esque mission in New Skooma. With several squads of U.S Marine trapped in the Park and dozens of insurgents attempting to over run them, it seemed logical that I have rescue on the way. U.S forces operating out of Smuggler's Airport quickly sealed off the penisula.
As Twlight began in to set in, the desperate insurgents still not being able to overwhelm the Marines began setting off bombs (BQM-74's) in rapid succesion. A convoy of humvees and a rag tag bunch of soldier's began to form up what was left the survivors in the city to make one last break into the Zoo and quickly get the hell out of town.
Minutes, hours, later, air support was calling in as Cobra's began their sweeps over the city, the convoy was still trying to get to the heart of the city but began being mercilessly slaughtered as insurgents sorrounded them. On standby off shore, two Black Hawks filled to the brim, were given the go ahead and rappell in and assist. No support was availiable so it was a risky mission. Within seconds, the black hawks marked their proper LZ landings, and wished the Marines the best of luck as they rappeled (Woo!!!!) downward into the city. Night was near at hand.
Finally after much bloodshed, and even a few Cobra's being shot down, the convoy broke into the Park to find a bloody battle had been waged, insurgents had thrown themselves at the soldier's in a do-or-die situation. It was unfortunate that there were no survivors. Corpses littered the ground, and with a much drawn out sigh, the call to retreat sounded. It then became a free for all as anyone that still had 2 legs or miraculously hadn't of been injured, ran, or limped to get the hell out of New Skooma.
At dawn a squadron of B-52 bomber's carpet bombed and obliterated the city.

Two inquiries.
1) When playing, there will be certain times that I Alt-tab and come back to the game, or just use the steam overlay to look at something over the web. Well, after closing and going back to the game, all my keys, controls fail to work. I can only spin my character around and shoot. Only happens with using this mod. Really annoying as it forces me to manually turn the game off.
2) I've always wondered about usage of the modules, is there a certain "radius" when you place them and they only work to that distance? Or if you place ONE on the map ANYWHERE then it will work for all Infected/Zombies that are on the map, anywhere spread out?
