BloodLust (Version 2022.04.13)
raserisk replied to zooloo75's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Not a big deal, I always stuck to BI forums for my addons, never bothered with STEAM. Keep doing you, Zoo. ;) -
Anyone wish BI would incorporate female civilians into A3 or APEX? Seems like such a better locale than ARMA 2 even though it's essentially a lot of work for just eye candy but I miss my Valentina    On a unrelated note, saw this tidbit of information from the Bloodlust developer which I thought was nice of him. https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/189963-wip-blood-lust-5-3-2016-v17/page-11

Very good immersion features that you guys are starting to roll out. +1 for being able to change the caliber required to pop heads. Looking forward to a feature in the future that makes it so that only head shots can kill zombies.

Hard to believe that it took roughly 2-3 years for a proper successor to Charon's mod to finally be released. It was a pretty hard blow when he vanished since many of us were such fans of the custom horror mods for the ARMA series. But yeah, this mod is pretty much all I play anymore. Sank thousands of hours into Charon's on ARMA 2 and probably will do the same for this one too, so kudos to you guys for making a great mod with a lot of options, hope you guys keep building upon it. Just curious but how difficult is it to create the animations for each zombie type? Was thinking back to the old days recently and was thinking about the resident evil style zombies that are kind of like shamblers that have their arms outstretched as they reach for you. I should probably post this on your suggestion tracker but wanted to get your take on some of the behind the scenes work that it takes to animate these guys.

Zooloo made a nice blood spray addon that I think would be great if you guys could incorporate into your mod. Would add more to the immersion to see some poor dude being ripped to shreds with blood spraying out of him :D :D :D I tried it out beforehand but it doesn't work with your zombie mod since it only is triggered from gunshots I believe. https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/189963-wip-blood-splatters/

BloodLust (Version 2022.04.13)

It works very well and I appreciate you taking the time to come up with this, one thing that I noticed was that it appears that it doesn't work for Ryan's zombie mod. If you shoot/kill the zombie, there won't be a blood effect (probably realistically fine) however if the zombie attacks a player or NPC and kills them, there also won't be a blood effect. Since you noted that your mod readme file that blood splatters are from gunshots then that would seem why this is happening so perhaps in the future you can add blood splatter effects from more sources such as physical hits (not sure what zombie melee attacks would be classified as) along with possible blunt trauma. Thanks for your time. -

Greetings, Do you have any interest in removing the ACE dependency in the future? After trying the mod out, I came to find out that it caused my zombie missions to stop working unfortunately. Thank you. -

Hey man, you've done a great job on these skins. I've been searching for a "evil organization" type of addon for a while now for my zombie missions and I'm glad that you said one of your references was Umbrella from Resident Evil. Have you thought about adding gas masks or something in reference to HUNK or any of the other guys from the USS? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/sxt4LbVfeTo/maxresdefault.jpg https://screenbarrier.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/d967a157a3d7bc9e3258d377dcf13a1c.jpg Last two too big for this post but always loved the designs for Umbrella. -
Hey guys, just wanted to give a shout out to the developers behind this project for doing an amazing job thus far and re-creating one of my dreams from ARMA 2. Despite spending hundreds of hours in the sandbox editor playing the base game itself, I spent thousands more using Charon Production's Undead Mod to create innumerable missions just to pass the time. One of the main reasons I didn't get into ARMA 3 itself was the disappearance of Charon and no substantial undead content until now that is. This seems like the true spiritual successor to the Undead mod and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. A couple of questions I had after taking it out for a spin tonight are, 1. Is it possible that you can hard code the zombie AI to attack everything that isn't a zombie unit? This was a feature within the old Undead mod of ARMA 2 to make it easier for the AI to attack everything (including non-zombie teammates and civilians) without having to script or manually set civilians to be aligned to a BLUFOR/OPFOR leader with a probability of presence set to 0. 2. Blood effects? I know the mod is relatively new so this is probably at the bottom of the list since its visual quality but would be interesting to see a splash of blood on the ground from where the unit was attacked/killed. It got very creepy in some missions in the old undead mod where you would just see empty streets and blood splattered pavements. Thanks for your time!

The Undead Mod
raserisk replied to charon productions's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I recently got my new computer and went back to give ARMA 2 and ARMA 3 a spin. One of the first things I did was download the Undead Mod and all of those great memories from years past came to life. I'm not sure where you are, Charon or if you even work on ARMA anymore but I wanted to thank you for all of the amazing years that I spent with ARMA 2 because of the Undead Mod. Hope you are doing well wherever you are! -
2017 - Official Announcement!
raserisk replied to kleutscher's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Hey there, will players also be able to use 2017 in single-player as well? Personally, I would really like to use the assets and custom NPCs to make my own scenarios and missions with the editor. Thanks. -

How is progress on the mod, Charon? I find myself in a strange sense of deja-vu as I recall the long anticipation of the Undead Mod throughout the fall of 2009 which led to a early 2010 release. -

I also have to say that after playing this mod for over three years, I still cannot find anything that is better. Thank you for your time and dedication, Charon! Do you take donations by any chance? I would like to give something back to the thousands of hours of I spent with this mod. -
