    GUys, gals, i had exactly the same problem for days.. tried everything.

    Then read my arma2.mdmp file and noticed that there was a problem with sound frequency. 44100,

    I had my speakers set to 16 bit 32000 Hz, i changed the frequency to 16bit 44100Hz and the game loaded first time!! Its the sound file of the naval ship flyby that crashes because it cant play the sound.. but now it can ;)

    it works and now i have patch 1.5

    whoop whoop!

    Hope someone elses gets resolved from this because i know how blimming frustrating it has been!

    Hi all,

    I purchased Arma2, installed it and was able to play it.

    I updated straight to 1.05 which is said to be ok and the correct way of updating patches and after installing patch 1.50 and rebooting, I start the game using icon from arma2 folder and when it gets to the screen where you can click single player multiplayer etc it just crashes every time and I get APPCRASH and goes back to desktop.

    I uninstalled the game then reinstalled, the game starts fine on 1.30, I then installed 1.40 and the game played fine with sound etc all working ok...

    Every time i try to install 1.5 it crashes, I have tried 3 different file locations for patch 1.50 and all give me the same problem of crashing back to desktop.

    APPCRASH give me this error

    I just don’t understand how arma2 works using 1.3, 1.40 but as soon as I try to install patch 1.50 I get problems.? Arma1 works ok

    Hi all,

    I have been playing ARma1 for ages on this PC.

    Purchased & installed Arma2 yesterday and was playing it even though the game seemed so laggy. I downloaded 1.05 patch from kellys and installed, rebooted, fired her up, i see bohemia interactive screen then goes straight to desktop and i get this
