    I was thinking about that yesterday when I started to build vacation simulator mission (hiking, sightseeing, beaches... :P)... There are so many fields, but not a single tractor..?

  5. You could use Arma 2 key list, but don't try to access the gear menu when the multiplayer mission starts... ;) Yes, they are so much different. There are new actions as well, such as incremental pose change etc.

    USA is behind majority of the wars after World War 2. Leaving the biggest warmongering nation in the world out from a war game seems wrong. :P But calling NATO == USA is simply silly (maybe they planned to include multiple NATO countries, but then decided that Arma 3 is only going to be a sandbox platform and "mods will fix this")... I would love if we could change the flag in the editor (after all we have whole bunch of marker flags, from Norway to Germany...).

    Choose flag option would be nice. Or maybe how rank insignias were done in OFP FDF mod..? I dislike playing The Global Police Force And The Only Good Guys In the World -forces for multiple reasons (in b4 grow up its just a texture in a game). Luckily we have CSAT on bestfor and also pretty capable independent faction (but no MBT's)... Could someone create a ticket?

    I'm not quite sure what you mean. As far as I know you were unable to change any uniform flags in alpha/beta. If I recall correctly, there weren't any uniform flags either. I'm not sure if you can locally change the models. I guess you could have some problems with keyed servers.

    It's not a bug, it's a feature. You can use mods if you want soldiers from other countries. Ya, I don't like this either...

  13. But BIS has to start doing it some day, or Arma 8 will still be 32 bit... They had the time, they just wanted to scrap everything and lose valuable workhours. This is 2013 and Arma 3, not 90's and Poseidon.

    I'm asking for full 3D cockpit, especially for the driver. Driver needs better visibility. Right now the driver can't see what's behind the tank either. Bradley had 3D cockpit in Arma 2. It was freaking awesome (when compared to other tracked vehicles in Arma 2)!

    Yes, I understood this the second I saw it has been assigned. But this is still Arma 3, and not DayZ. And right now all the IFV's and MBT's have huge bugs. Non-movable ZSU VC periscope, able to kill T-100 turret crew with just a rifle, (near) immunity to AT-mines, tracked vehicles unable to get over sandbags, flying tanks if they hit something and you roll 2d6 and get less than 3, can't go uphill fast enough, etc, etc. These were just _some_ of the concrete bugs (in armored vehicles only). My wishlist wouldn't even fit on a forum page (and there's no real point making a list because "arma is infantry game, go play steel beast").

  19. I have been in Altis for 2 days now. I have visited many places, but this was probably my favorite. Everything is so artistic, even the taxiways.     Crew Glitch in the OPFOR tank

    You're right. The hits made a cling instead of *uugh*. But it sure killed the crew because the turret stopped moving and it was completely safe to walk around the tank as a suckfor rifleman.
  22. Are you saying BI Simulations is not getting anything out from the customer products..? I'm not talking how they can monetarily support it. Not going to continue this discussion because it's clearly off-topic.

    Is this "feature" affecting survivability against mines (especially antipersonnel mines)? If yes, then this is a critical bug that clearly breaks the tank (especially in pvp)! Edit: I did a small test. It seems the mines won't kill the crew. I tested all kinds of mines, but what was shocking was that I was able to drive over 10 ANTI TANK mines and still keep rolling. Ya... Clearly a finished game. Now I can understand why the devs are pulling back the word "simulator"... :P
  24. What about VBS? Consumer market is small drop in the ocean. Sorry to say, but we are just willing test subjects (don't get me wrong, I'm happy being one :) ) so that BIS could improve VBS.

    Turn out is in Arma 3. The trick is that the commander must be turned out for you to turn out... Scopes are different? Compare MBT scopes... ;)
