I restarted Dog of War after installing 1.05 and I get the NVG by default.

ArmA II: Harvest Red; Possible Endings

I completed harvest red today with a really weird ending... a CDF colonel thanking Razor team for all the effort and then words saying that prizrak continues to be on the run after many years and Russia and US denied ever participating in this conflict. Chedaki was destroyed by me in the Dog of War mission. Took all their towns, captured lopotev and destroyed their main base. I never killed prizrak and never joined forces with CDF. I was pure and simple NAPA all the way... how come I get an ending that felt like I have been helping the CDF all along?? In fact, I raided CDF towns in Dogs of War too. Ok, got the name of the ending, called "Newborn Republic". -
I went there in a BMP which is amphibious. none of the guards on the island has an RPG so...hehehe

@Jakerod, now that you mentioned this, I was playing Dog of War today and I tried to kill prizrak at point black with an AK and he stood there shaking with every shot that hit him but just didn't die. I thought it was meant that way so he won't die accidentally and make the mission uncompletable. I need to test this! -

@Spectator, That's exactly right! :) Sounds are specifically tagged to each weapon name and need to be specifically made for each specific weapon. That is why all sound mods replace the default BIS sounds as you really can't go around checking the names of ALL the weapons mods out there and making the sounds work for all of them. There is a HIFI_ACE mod somewhere which replaces the ACEX weapons with HIFI sounds. I forgot where the link is, maybe you can make a search. Merry Christmas! -

HIFI (in fact no sound mods) override custom weapons and in this case, ACEX weapons. There is a Hifi mod made specially for ACEX weapons called HIFI_ACE . Not as good as this beta one (in terms of sound randomness and variety) but its better than having unhified sounds right? :) -

HIFI sound mod + ACE2 + JTD smoke & fire + SLX wounds + RH weapons + Mando Missiles + XAM Environment + Landtex terrain retexture + WarFX + DSAI + ZEUS AI + every island mod you can find + every vehicles addons you can find (F16, F117, little birds etc etc dump them all into one big folder) + CBA ( required for some of the above mods to work) If you are new to ArmA2, make sure you complete the offical campaign RED HARVEST in vanilla before playing mods. Otherwise, you won't even know what got improved! right? :) -

the stock wounding system takes a full clip to take down an enemy??? Impossible... I can down an enemy at 300m within 5 shots max on an M4.

@Stun, could you advise us of the exact steps you took to see suppression effect please? I would like to test that same scenario and see if its the command working or just the default AI working.

@Luhgnut, its the same in all the missions as well. squad mates don't do all go where you tell them to anymore. maybe one out of five will. -

Well, not having range reading makes scopes with mildots and stadia useful in range estimation. Iron sights are ok as we can make adjustments when firing. AT weapons is a bit of an issue and takes hell of a lot of practise to get right without range. Personally, I set up a launcher training ground in editor and put in about 2 hours of practise at various ranges to have a feel of range and aiming. More practise, less reverts! hahahaha -
@Carl, what you are describing is clearly not what was being implemented. :) Try playing the game more without issuing the command and read the wiki release at http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Suppressive_Fire

@Soldier, I have been talking about the ArmA2 Terminator Mod for a while... now, who is going to be the resistance leader and make this mod come true! hehehehe! model for vulcan is already available in the stock game...hehehehe.. just mount it on T-100's arm! -

It will be even more cool if a certain percentage chance is set into enemy AI to fire madly and blindly in area suppression into smokes generated by smoke grenades. That's what they do in RL because a smoke grenade is sure sign someone's coming from that direction. -

Did you by any chance played it with ACE2? ACE2 does that to the osprey no matter how many times you replay. Please try 1.05 without any mods.

Yup, so we are now clear. Suppressive Fire = Do what you have always been doing at your own timing and pace but using more bullets. :)

My eyes just popped! Your Space Road To Freedom is like a huge playground for all the wonderful community mods! There are soooo many ways and means to complete the mission that it remains interesting after repeated play! hahahaha!
