@Maturin, so the shtora system on the T-90 does not prevent lock-ons from these weapon systems? -

Suggestion: Could we start an ACE-Installation Problems thread so that these questions that repeat every single day won't continuously flood out gameplay questions? These installation questions are asked and re-asked every single day and answered every single day so much they need a thread on its own so people have a place to look for answers instead of continuously flood out the main thread. I really can't believe it... same questions EVERY DAY asked by different people... don't people use the search function or read threads anymore?? For the love of God and for giving these people a place to ask their repeatedly same questions away from proper ACE gameplay questions, please start the new thread. -

Hadn't tested the shtora on the T-90 out yet but can anyone tell me what its effects on the Javelin, Metis and Hellfire is like? (so I know what to look out for when killing T-90s in future) -
Thats FAST! 0_0

One thing I like about Bardosy's missions is that you can throw in any kind and any amount of mods and you can't break the mission. :)

Sent the link to your PM. Don't wanna hijack this thread.

@ISOLA, DEFINITELY! Especially with the ACE ones, you will get significantly increased dispersion with the much much less powerful silenced magazines. Silenced magazines are also less lethal and it often take many rounds to kill some one especially when the target is prone. Thats why I make sure I carry both suppressed and full calibre bullets if I choose a suppressed weapon. (One trick though, GL4 recognises suppressed weapons according to the weapon class, not magazines, so when playing with GL4 running, you get silenced effect with detection within only 15m no matter what kind of bullet is in your "suppressed" weapon. This is why I keep using the TAC50-SD...hehehe... defined it as a suppressed weapon in GL4 even though it uses full calibre 0.5 rounds)

Saving Valentina in Manhatten
jasonnoguchi replied to Starforce21's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Interestingly, I disabled her vehicle in one of my replays and never saw the valentina death scene during that play. And darn, I really should try shooting sova in the very first mission! Thats really interesting! Would love to see what happens later! -
@Mr Tea, just so you know, silenced weapons aren't really silenced at all unless you use the SD mags that go with it, if it does at all. Just because the weapon model looks like it has a suppressor, doesn't mean its suppressed. The suppression coding is in the magazine, not the weapon used. This is the same thing in RL. If you use regular bullets with a weapon with suppressor, you still get that loud sonic crack bang and everyone will have a rough idea of where you are. That's where the BIS enemies cheat a bit. As long as the enemies look in your direction (or the direction where the sonic crack is heard), and you are not behind some kind of cover, they will be able to pin point you super accurately. This is a problem with the arma2 engine itself. Don't tell me you hadn't experienced that in any arma2 missions before?? I did all 3 Seal Team 6 campaigns 3 times and I can say that they are well designed and logical and I never ran into any missions that I cannot complete. If you are talking about the mission where you and a spotter are supposed to clear two camps on UTES, yes, you can NEVER beat so many of them flanking you in all directions... so what should you do? Get to a position where their numbers cannot win! What I did is immediately run to the air field hangar nearby and then get into one corner and aim at the doorway and wait. The enemies appeared one by one at the door way as predicted and I killed every single one of them there before moving on with the mission. In RL battles, you need to learn to get into positions of advantage against your enemies, its never a case of trading shots from a fixed position. You are not a static defense post, right? This is exactly what makes ArmA2 different from COD and the other titles out there. Just being able to shoot fast won't allow one soldier to take on a whole platoon head on. ArmA2 is all about tactics... about positioning, about gaining a relative advantage over your enemies and having your brain work fast enough to find that relative advantage whether in terms of terrain or numbers or weapons. Its a thinking game and I like to look upon these missions as puzzles that needs to be solved rather than just killing enemies.

@mrcash, hehehe, tested, no clash. :) Only thing is GL4's kick in much much faster than the JTD flies so you start getting the fly sounds from GL4 way before you see the JTD flies. Actually both mods work together very very very well as you don't get such horrific and disgusting looking flies with GL4. The fact that you can actually see these flies from about 20 to 30m away without zooming adds a lot to the immersion. JTD Flies + GL4 blood splatter + ACE Staying brass = totally realistic death scene. You have this baddie lying in a pool of blood with spent brass on the ground and flies all over... tells alot about what happened there!

@Sick1, thats right. :) Tested them and they work really well. :) @TONCI, ACE already made the stand clear that they won't be making any SCARs as SCARs will be released by BIS in the Operation Arrowhead expansion. So, no harm getting the fun right now, right? hehehe... I am gonna include them in my next mission too.

RH MGS wpn pack 1.1
jasonnoguchi replied to roberthammer's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Tested the weapons and I was AWED!!! The huge recoil difference between the SCAR-H and SCAR-L was nice and obvious. This difference wasn't so striking in the SCAR addons in ARmA1. Love the custom M4s and they truly perform like customs...hehehe... awesome low recoil. I like this addon so much I am gonna feature it in my next mission Operation Iron Fist 2 - Chaos in the City. :) -
Thanks a lot for another immersive addon, JTDman! :)

Posted new features to Chaos in the city. Yes, I can't help featuring RH's new SCARs and custom M4s. You guys need to know where to find them in the game, as a grunt, you just aren't gonna start with those kinds of weapons hehehee -
Yeah, I have the same problem with russian medics when I play on russian side too... seems like they are not too willing or spontaneous. Even civilians are more spontaneous but hey NEW CAMPAIGN FROM BARDOSY?!?!?!?! YAYAAYAYAYYA!!!! I played chesty 3 times already and its really getting bland...eheheheh

hahha, no worries mate, I am using some scripts to spawn enemies only when necessary this time round as we do not need the kind of all out under attack feeling in the coming mission. :) So it should be much lighter than FOB Alamo. :) -

EASILY ONE OF THE BEST WEAPONS I HAVE EVER PLAYED! The model looks awesome and the textures are very detailed! I just had a few hours of fun with all 3 versions in the armory and I must say, it works as awesomely as it looks! The translucent sides for the scopes are AWESOME! For the first time, we are getting closer to the situational awareness of using scopes with both eyes open! (Although I am sure as hell ACOG is not variable powered) GREAT AWESOME WORK! THIS IS MY NEW FAV WEAPON FOR ARMA2!
