I am very new to ARMA II, but I am finding it a very exciting and challenging game.
I am currently going through the Boot Camp portion of the game, in order to learn how to do specific actions and I am having difficulty getting through the Land Vehicle Controls specifically with the tank and being the commander. I have the following challenges:
How do I get in a position as the commander to be able to move the tanks forward? I know it sounds crazy but it seems when I am the commander I am always looking backwards and I have to use opposite directions in order to go forward, etc. How do I order the gunner to fire as the commander? I get to the WayPoint I am supposed to go to, but when I try to fire it either first my machine gun or the tank, but I don't know how to control the tank cannon so it only fires in the direction I was driving and I am not able to either manully move it or instruct the gunner to move it.
I know these are due to my inexperience so any helpful tips would be appreciated.
